Cook laid out lunch on the little wooden table Lord Blanford had set up in the garden and left to get back to his duties inside the house.  Seamus looked down at his plate, horrified.
"No chips," he glared at Lord Blanford, his fine eyebrows knit together in an angry V.
"I'm sorry, pet," Lord Blanford said soothingly," but we're out of potatoes."
"Well what am I supposed to do?" Seamus stood up suddenly and leaned in towards his master.  "How can I eat fish without chips.  I demand chips."
Lord Blanford sighed and cast his eyes up towards the clouds in exasperation.  "Look, stop acting like a-"
"Kept boy?" Seamus straightened and stuck out his hip.
"Yes, stop acting like a kept boy."
"But I am a kept boy!" Seamus tossed his head, allowing his ebony mane to fall into his eyes a moment,  "And this kept boy wants chips with his Halibut!"
"We don't have any, I've told you."
With a 'hmpf', Seamus perched on the edge of his chair and pouted.
"That makes me a sad boy." Seamus narrowed his eyes and looked back up to Lord Blanford.  He sprawled back against the chair back and rested a hand on his thigh.  He absently tugged at hishair with the other. "And a sad boy isn't good for anything."
Lord Blanford's eyes widened, "Ummm, how about some... wine."
