Draius Hethryn was a magician, nothing more, nothing less . . . just a card magician. He continued to stroll along the streets of the capital city Arca, his home, as his thinking turned to the head mage. He had wanted to be the head mage for a while, and he believed he would, some day, but his magic abilities were mediocre at best, some simple spells, that was it. But at least he was an aerokinetic, someone who could control the air with his mind. Shaking his head, he rid his mind of thoughts and continued on his stroll, cards springing from hand to hand, all while whistling a catchy tune.
He had walk for quite a while before stopping to take a break. Dris noticed he was not far from Serendipity Castle, while he was resting. He was about to start up again on his walk when he suddenly had an idea. What if he could join the military academy so to become better at magic? He mentally slapped himself silly for not thinking of this idea earlier, but there was still the problem of how to do it without looking suspicious.
Dris walked closer to the castle and wondered how he was going to go about doing this. Sighing, he shook his head. He really had no idea how to join the academy. Rolling his eyes, he decided that he looked weird or suspicious looking at the castle like that.
"Oh how to join the academy . . ." Draius wondered. "All these years of living here, and I never once decided to find out . . ."
