Moving quickly he reached the end and grabbed another, but his opponent was catching up and may the gods help me if he gets ahead, he thought. Drowning now, unconscious nearing, he gasped for air and went straight back into the eternal pool, till suddenly his opponent smashed his fist on the table. The room becomes silent as these two giants stare at each other in the eye. The tension is unbearable, till  the giant opposite sucks in a deep breath ans bellows out the immortal words. "By the gods that one can drink!" Cheering from the crowd surrounds them both till the tavern owner appears along side Logan, whispering in his ear.
"Who's paying?" he asks. Logan turns and looks him in the eyes.
"The loser is!" He shouts, the crowd cheer again.
"What loser?" The tavern owner asks. Logan annoyed now turns ands says.
"That one..." The space were his opponent had been sitting now lay vacant. "SON OF A..."

Rain poured over the small houses that housed the residents of Hyoite. "Probably the last rain before it gets cold", he thought. Logan lets the rain wash the cuts and bruises off his body. His body felt like he'd been run over by horse, but his head hurt more. "A curse on the man, who invented Ale." he mutters to himself. Of course he had come off the better in that fight, let it never be said the age old proverb don't fight mages unarmed is wrong. Unfortunately he had lost his purse. Going to a rough night, he thought. Standing up he walked through the small streets of Hyoit moving towards the large hill that rested on the cliff face in front of the sea. Looking up he saw lights flicker, the mansion on top still lit brightly. He found a dry spot inside a stable at the entrance to the town.

Gathering some straw, he made a bed close to the entrance. Looking out into the rain he tried to drift too sleep, but a question that had been bothering him for a while was resounding through his head, making sleep impossible. What am I doing here? It had been bothering him the past month it had taken to get him Hyoit. The only reason he came was because a man in Connlaoth's underground had told he he'd heard of Novas Biatez visiting Hyoit, but so far Logan couldn't find anything to confirm it.  Annoyed at his own gullibility he shouts out his question. "What am I doing here!?!"

SMACK

Jumping up in surprise, he looks into the darkness of the night and sees a dark object lying on the floor in front of the stable. Rushing forward he checks the object, as he checks the object, something wet and sticky sticks to his fingers, moving his hand into the moon light. Blood. He now knew exactly what it was, but not how it got here. Not a man to wonder about such things, he searches the body and finds small purse and piece of parchment. Holding it up to the light he sees what look like orders.

Noise of a pumped up crowd was heard in the tavern as Hiela saw a man flee, she watched from her window in her small home across the tavern and noticed injuries. 'psh, serves him right' she thought, knowing the bastard along with all other inhabitants of Hyoite.

The man usually had a big mouth and sought for fights around town, he even tried to harass her before and would've succeeded if she wasn't so dangerously cold.

She never had the guts to enter the tavern, especially at this hour of night. She knew hunters would be around in there, waisting themselves on beverages. A few moments later she saw a new face exit the place, someone who wasn't from Hyoite..

Curiosity took the best of her as she stealthily followed the man, becoming one with her element making her unnoticeable by anyone. He walked all the way back to the entrance of the town, settling inside a stable as he fixed himself a bed of straw. She could see it all happen, how he yelled for instructions and how a bloody body suddenly dropped from the sky. 'is this guy a hunter?' she questioned in mind, it was a good thing she could become one with nature in this environment making it impossible for anyone to notice her presence. Hyoite was really the safest yet still most dangerous place for her to live.

"The job is mine, back off."

Valtera had heard it too many times before, empty threats from men who where just that. Men. Rats bickering for their payroll. She was not another Rat, she was a cat and he would do well to be reminded of that.

She wasted no time talking with the smelly insect, instead coldly grasping her sacrificial dagger. Gold and jewels forged together to make some sort of dragon's head handle with tainted steel meshed together, Not a weapon used for combat. It smelled of all the souls she had claimed and all the souls she would claim.

"Lets dance then bitch. Considering your build, I bet that dagger just for show."

At least he had balls until the end, his soul would do well for fuel. Darting forward, brandishing steel and determination as delicate elvish hands raised to form the shapes needed.

His shade of dark and red now suddenly engulfed in searing heat. Lashing his face with boiling, festering wounds of pain. There was no time to scream as all his precious air was sucked out of his body by very real and methodical fire.

Stabbing the heart with one precise attack, the gold dragon head at the end of the shaft glowing purple as the container jewel started filling up. Feeling his body go cold turkey and rest on her shoulder.

Leading his body towards the hole where he had entered from. Dropping it to the ground, observing it as it fell, eventually embracing the earth where it would rot and die again.

Cleaning the knife while observing. A puddle of red had already begun forming underneath the body.

Someone approached the corpse. Cleaning the shaft with a red hankerchief while observing the intruders actions, already looting the poor bastard for what little he had. There was no pity, he had no need for a body now. Pulsing with brilliant purple glow in her hand.

Putting the dagger back to rest, lazily deciding to see what this new potential minion would do with the note.
