Physical Description
If you could convince Ariel to take a bath you might find a beautiful young woman beneath all that filth. Long ratty hair hangs around her face with choppily cut bangs that she always pushes to the side. The former white-blond locks of her youth have been dirtied and turned to a displeasing brown-blond mess. Secured in her hair with wooden beads are also some feathers from a rooster and a hawk. Tied to a deer-hide band of leather are six owl feathers, three on each side which when worn gives Ariel the appearance of a great horned owl.
She also rubs soot from her fires around her eyes and down the bridge of her nose in the appearance of some wild animal. Depending on her mood she will also use it to make a large v on her forehead like that of a great horned owl. Other times she will draw swirls and other designs on her cheeks.
Her eyes are a pale ice blue almost silver. They sink into her gaunt face seeming much bigger than they. Ariel's entire body is small and compact. There is a leanness that goes beyond just being physically fit. While not just skin and bones there can still be seen a hunger in her eyes that tells of how every meal is a fight.
Ariel runs barefoot and wears clothes that she has made from the hides of her prey such as deerskin pants and top as well as a wolf pelt cloak. A necklace of feathers and animal teeth hangs around her neck. She also wears a turkey vulture feather as an earring in her right ear.
Personality
A territorial and hot-tempered young woman. She is a well-practiced hunter but refuses to share her goods with anyone but herself. She does not trade furs or food. Ariel will steal if she is desperate enough but, otherwise stays away from humans and civilization. Her actions and temperament is very much like that of an animal. She is skittish and shy but also fierce and lethal. Her small size makes her quick and her hunger, determined.

History
Ariel does not remember her life before the wilds. She does not know how old she is or where she is from. Her earliest memory is the La'marri orphanage that she ran away from. Even that she will refuse to acknowledge as having once known. She lives in the wild and travels as the need arises. Ariel carries a hatred for civilization that stops her from ever entering a city unless completely desperate. She has done this a few times to steal some things and then to run again. Her name is known to her but she only answers to "Owlet" a name that she has fond memories of an older man once calling her.
