It almost seemed shocking to see another person out here, it some how broke the eerie tranquility. What was more jarring was that the stranger seemed to have no idea about the storm. If he was able to travel here in so short a time surely he had at least seen signs of the storm in the distance. Kevinth raised and eyebrow as he looked at the blue haired stranger. A fae perhaps? Though Liam didn't seem to mind the man petting him.

"There was a storm. It raged for two days." He said softly as if it was taboo or disrespectful to speak of. "The flood waters only just receded. I assume that the old watch tower here finally collapsed during it, though that is hardly the extent of the damage the town suffered... I hope you can find who you are looking for. Were they a traveler as well?" Maybe it was the fact that Liam seemed comfortable with the stranger, or the humbling effects of nature's fury that actually had him in a somewhat helpful mood.

Mahvash had been looking forward to this banquet for a while now. Hawk would always be his favorite gladiator but he had more than one prized gladiators and was always looking for new talent. He had been perusing the gladiators who were serving people. It was no secret that his endeavors in the Colosseum often paid him well and that he frequented matches there as well. It was no secret that his gladiators were kept very well and were treated with the respect and dignity befitting their records as apposed to mere laborers as many masters did. If you were a champion for Mahvash Samara you were treated to luxury and finery not merely well fed. As such the muscular men made sure to dote on the merchant prince, making sure his cup stayed filled, that he had anything he could need.

It was no wonder that Mahvash enjoyed Hespu's banquets. Though muscles alone could not fully show a gladiator's skill it was a very fine and civilized way to get to know his potential champions. It was also a great opportunity to socialize with other merchant princes and tradesmen of class and means. Aside from Hespu's own business, many deals and agreements were struck at events such as this. Last year he had not only purchased a fine gladiator but he acquired a new trade contacts for importing fine exotic ingredients for his perfume and oil business.

He took a sip from his cup and looked around the room some, just taking in its treasures. He saw her across the room, a vision in light purple silks, light skin and dark purple hair. Mahvash lightly touched the arm of the muscular slave tending his cup and whispered to him. A nod and the slave made his way to Zimayi's side, whispering to her and nodding toward Mahvash letting her know that the merchant prince wished to meet her.

Jaibah couldn't help but chuckle at that. Actually he had to take off his glasses because his eyes were watering he was laughing so hard. "That's what you are researching?" He said wiping his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose. "You have no idea... here. Let me show you."

Jaibah stood up and gestured for Imogene to follow him, trusting that the other mage would follow him as he headed back out into the library and up the stairs to the upper level, walking around until he reached a large window, pointing out of it. "Look out there. That's what you are searching for."

The feature of the day's events was a death match between two rather well known gladiators. It had taken a lot of negotiating to get another merchant prince to agree to a death match between their prized gladiator and Mahvash's. After all, no one is truly keen on the prospect of losing their highest earner. Though it did make things much more.. exciting especially for Mahvash.

He had no doubts that his gladiator would win but seeing him pushed to fight so hard... killing another skilled gladiator. Nothing turned Mahvash on more than watching his favorite gladiator kill. It was well worth the slight risk.

Especially because right now he was rock hard with his concubine on her knees before him. The stone half wall of his booth covered their act of public lewdness. Mahvash watched as blood covered the dirt, trying not to show the feeling of ecstasy on his face as Jinan's mouth worked his cock. It was truly turning out to be a wonderful match.

(sorry this sucks I am having serious writers block on this... but i needed to just post it. :( )

The flood waters had finally receded and the sky was a bright blue. It had rained for two days and it took two more for the flooding to subside. It had easily been the worst storm the town had seen in decades. The roads were still barely passable, debris, half collapsed buildings and tree limbs blocked the streets. The Inn and its large stable had held up fairly well considering how violent the storm had been. The pub across town had suffered a fire and a few homes had been completely destroyed, and the old watch tower that had once marked the edge of town before its expansion had finally crumbled. It had been in disrepair for years, stricken by fire twice and simply hazardous. There had been talk of rebuilding it but with the boom to the towns growth being more prevalent, it was never seen through.

It was so quiet. There were few people on the streets, the few tradesmen capable of assessing the damage and what was needed to rebuild, but everyone was quiet, solemn. It was as if they were mourning the loss of the town itself. Kevinth was unsure if there had been any loss of life due to the storm, though it seemed highly plausible. He knew when the storm first struck that the Lord Regent of Ravensway had been out in it but his retainers had collected the young lord and he was unharmed. He had tended their horses during the storm, and all of the guests. Sometimes it was a benefit that his room was located at the back of the stable.

Towards the end of the storm however, a wall in one of the foremost stalls had collapsed and one of the guests horses had escaped. It had been too treacherous until now to search for the pretty dapple grey mare, though the thought of her out there alone pained him. He was cautiously optimistic about still finding her, but as he rode his own horse through the streets the hope began to dwindle. Still, he could not forgive himself if he didn't try... if his Liam were missing he would be devastated, even though the lord's retainer whose horse she was seemed more concerned with her monetary value than the horse herself.

He carefully approached the now crumbled old watch tower with Liam seeming a bit spooked by it. He had never had reservation around here before and they had passed equally razed buildings on their search already... a sound. Shifting rubble perhaps? Liam whinnied and Kevin dismounted the large horse, patting his side lightly and petting him. "Easy there Liam... Is someone there?" He called, his own voice seeming to break the sanctity of the silence.

Physical Description
'Handsome but fairly plain looking.' is a phrase he has heard a lot since he was raised in Serendipity. He does have a handsome face with larger almond shaped pale sage green eyes but his bronze skin and dark brown hair just leave him looking less colorful than many of the fae descended Serenians that he lives among.

He has a toned body due to his work and his hands are rough and calloused. He tends to wear plain and practical clothing, even when not working.

Personality
Kevinth is a fairly anti-social young man, but is usually polite and courteous to patrons of the Inn. He loves horses and is much more comfortable around them and other animals than people.

Magic/Abilities
He can't ACTUALLY communicate with animals but he is a bit of a horse whisperer and is really good with them.

Relationships
His horse Liam is his best and only friend.

History
He doesn't have a family and he wants to one day breed and raise horses for nobles.

Jaibah gazed up at the intruder, over his crescent shaped glasses, for just a moment before turning the page of his new book. "You said something about your research correct? What precisely are you researching?" He muttered, scribbling down a note and a small diagram into a journal of sorts... going out of his way to work around Imogene's hands on his desk.

Cijii left the room and locked the door behind him. He felt terrible for all this. Hopefully he could make it up to Imogene somehow... maybe convince Jaibah not to erase the mage's memory.

Jaibah was holed up in his room toward the back of the library. He was seated at his desk, though it seemed every flat surface in his room was covered in books and parchment- his bed included. He briefly looked up from his work and scoffed aloud when he heard the stranger call for him. "You can talk all you wish but do not expect me to listen to your prattle." He replied loud enough that he was sure the other would hear him.

Cijii's frown just seemed to grow. Is that what he had been doing? Maybe it was... part of him had been hoping that Imogene was a she and that she was the one... then it would have been easy to share the book; share the entire library. He had been foolish and overly optimistic- and WAY too imposing of his own desires on her- errr him. "You're right. I'm a jerk. I have been a real jerk to you but... I really wasn't trying to take advantage of you, as contradictory as that might seem. I thought.. maybe you could still use the book and... I don't know... I kinda thought maybe you were the one for us when I thought you were a woman. And I still like you..." He muttered rubbing his neck and blushing a bit. How foolish indeed.

"I have to move the vardo and get us some dinner... why don't you read some of these other books while you wait? I haven't read much of them but there is a wealth of information here." He said heading towards the door.

Cijii stepped between them when Imogene said the bit about 'depriving people of knowledge' bit. He could see how angry Jaibah was, tell that a spell was just hanging on his brother's tongue. "Jaibah... Please. Let me talk to him ok? He doesn't know, he doesn't understand... how could he?" Cijii said in Essyrni and Jaibah rolled his eyes.

Jaibah glared over Cijii's shoulder at the mage. How utterly impudent. He looked back at Cijii who seemed more intent on protecting and aiding this stranger than his own brother. "Fine. Say what you want. Do as you wish. I am wiping his memory of all this at sunrise tomorrow regardless of what prattle you feed him." Jaibah retorted in Thanati, his tone clearly denoting his poor attitude towards the entire situation. He shot one last glare at the other and stalked off toward one of the back rooms with the book and some of his other research materials.

Cijii sighed and turned to Imogene, actually frowning. "I apologize for that... he is not good with people and... While I can understand your opinion on these matters... there is a lot more to it than that." He sighed and tried to force an apologetic smile but the smile aspect refused to take root. "I'm sorry Imogene... I really am."

Jaibah glared. What did this man even know? He stepped closer, not backing down just because the other was taller. "This library is not some meager collection. It is an archive. A place of protection for such tomes and this is where that book came from. It was written here. It belongs here." Jaibah adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose, scoffing slightly. If he wasn't so sure that he was going to preform an amnesia spell on this man he would not have said any more about it.

"He is right. It belongs here in the library anyhow... its where its supposed to be." Jaibah said crossing his arms to his chest as he tried to decide what should be done with the intruder.

Cijii looked between the two, mouth slightly agape and pulled down in a frown. "But... it's just a book with the first part of the fables and a few spells right? You said you needed the first half for one of the riddles but its not much use to anyone without the second book why can't he just have it? Its not like he can do any damage-"

Jaibah's gaze narrowed at Cijii effectively silencing the other.. How could his younger be so daft as to give away such information in front of some unknown mage?! What, just because he was good looking?

Jaibah was the first to notice the intruder, pushing Cijii away and getting to his feet. "You left the door open?!" He glared at Cijii as he stalked to the door and locked it, looking the other mage over more closely now than he had at the shop. Those crystals... hmm.. "Well... how are we going to deal with... this?" Jaibah asked gesturing to the intruder.

"...We don't have deal with him, Jaibah." Cijii sighed as he headed over to Imogene with an apologetic frown. "...I was kind of hoping we could give him the book when you are done with it Jaibah. He really did want it first..."

Cijii didn't even have time to acknowledge Imogene's apology, as soon as the vine pulled back he scrambled for his key and unlocked the door, recklessly throwing it open without thinking and rushing inside without noticing the door remained ajar behind him.

Inside was a room at least 100 yards long with decadent high ceilings and intricate glass and metal filigree sky lights that made lovely patterns on the marble floor as the sun filtered in from the windows as well. It wasn't simply a room though, As the tall hardwood shelves indicated with their contents... it was a library. The place practically pulsated with ancient magic, and its sole inhabitant poured over a long oak table that was littered in books and parchment as well as several artifacts.

Jaibah looked up from his research as Cijii entered the Library and threw his arms around his older brother. "C-Cijii what is wrong? Are you alright? I didn't feel any danger befalling you... was there a problem?" He adjusted his glasses as the sudden embrace had knocked them askew and noticed the book in Cijii's hand. "You got it. Thank you Cijii." Jaibah said taking the book in his hands. Finally it was back in the library where it belonged.

Physical Description
Cijii has natural black hair with mahogany highlights that is kept in a long thick braid with a few smaller braids woven in. He has light umber skin and dark brown eyes with specks of gray if you look close enough. He has a rather well built, slender but strong muscular body.

His smile is probably his most notable feature since he almost always is. Its charismatic and genuine- as well as often infectious.It is accented by a small gold lip ring on the right of his lower lip. Style wise he tends to wear the wrap tops and kilts common in Essyrn or at least those tops with loose and comfortable pants. He also likes lose robes and comfy pants. Mostly he wears tops that are left open, showing off his chest and abs.

Personality
Cijii is... nice. He would not consider himself a good guy because his standards for that are pretty high and he himself falls short of them, but he is definitely not a bad person. Still he tries to get along with everyone he meets and is often too trusting. He gives everyone the benefit of the doubt until they prove themselves unworthy.

He is at times a bit... dense. Especially when it involves someone he is attracted to, and not necessarily just sexually. He really craves love, acceptance and a home.

Magic/Abilities
He is actually gifted with some primal magic, though he is pretty untrained in it compared to his skill with a blade. He can also divine the future but hates doing it since his ability lies largely in mediumship and he is very susceptible to powerful spirits.

Cijii cannot feel his own pain, but instead feels his brother Jaibah's. As part of an elaborate coming of age ceremony practiced by their family for generations, when his brother turned 12 their hearts were removed and switched using rare and primal magics passed down by their ancestors. Because of this the sensation of pain was linked to their now swapped hearts and they only feel the other's physical pain and not what is inflicted on their own bodies.

Jaibah- His older brother who he travels with and is very close with. The two are inseparable, though rarely seen together.

Physical Description
Jaibah has long, wavy raven blue-black hair normally kept in intricate ornamental up dos or half up dos. His skin is a creamy caramel and he has dark purple eyes. He has some muscle tone but is mostly rather lithe and slender.

Style wise he wears rather complicated and ceremonial robes most of the time.

Personality
Jaibah is rather stoic and quiet. He does not like people and prefers his library where he can research in peace. He is reclusive and his only real connection is with his brother Cijii, keeping anyone else at arms length.

Jaibah is extremely smart but can be quite uncouth when it comes to social ques or decorum. Most of his knowledge on these subjects is from outdated tomes and he has little experience with actual people. He is very distrustful of others and... just, shy. Of course his shyness usually is expressed as what is more commonly interpreted as animosity.

Magic/Abilities
He is very gifted in primal magic and can use some life magic naturally as well. Other than that his expansive knowledge of spells and potioncraft from various cultures has aided him greatly.

He was still so taken with the mage he was momentarily confused as to what these more pressing matters could be-

The lock! Shit shit shit shit shit! Cijii went to pull his sword from his bag but- Imogene said it couldn't be cut... or burned or- damnit! He pulled the book out of his bag instead and held it over the vardo door's lock. If something were to jam the lock... Jaibah would be stuck inside. He couldn't let that happen, even as the vine started to entangle his arm, he pressed the book firm against the lock. "Imogene help me! My brother is in there!"

And then she kissed his cheek. "Whoa! That's not... I mean that is something two guys do-" And it hit him like a bag of bricks. She... was a he. There was no exaggerated body language on Cijii's part, no freaking out or look of disappointment as it clicked. It didn't deter him... Well now he felt foolish for saying that though. He really should have noticed that sooner but... wait..

"...Ok isn't Imogene a girl's name though?" He asked as he leaned in to kiss his cheek in return, that charismatic smile returning. He was actually happy for this newfound opportunity to get closer with this greeting... and was oblivious to the vine wrapping further around the vardo.
