The sound of her boots hitting the floor echoed around her bringing back memories of home. Then, as now, the day was a disappointment. It was as though she were two places at once and they both overlapped each other now as she strode down an aisle of the College. She made her way to the Library of the great building now and it reminded her greatly of making her way to the throne room back in her home.
She boots clipped the marble floor her soldiers lined behind her as they methodically checked the rooms. They pushed open doors and cut down mercilessly the men who huddled within. It was always that one room that she kept going back to, and for the life of her she could never understand why. She had pushed open the door herself to find the pair. Sobbing, laying across a table, shameless, while he buttoned up and turned to smile at Jazanna. She had dispatched him before he could even draw the weapon on his hip.
"Cover yourself. Your am embarrassment to the Queen," And then she had turned and left, the sniffles of the young girl following her as she went.
That was all. A typical day when removing a man from power. But it was the look. The look of admiration and shame that had colored the girls features when faced with the harsh look from Jazanna. A woman who had failed to protect herself.
Jazanna sighed and pushed her way through the door to the library. Everything here was different and Jazanna didn't like it. The whole structure of the world, the whole distribution of power, even the way things were run. She didn't fit into this world and hated that she had to try. But where her Queen sent her she would go.
Jazanna walked into the library and glanced around. A few students littered the path and though she stood out in her light armor she paid no mind to the glances cast her way. She was here for some slight information so that she could start to blend in. This was her first stop along the road so that she could learn before she started off to Reajh.
She sighed and walked over to the nearest book shelf and started to scan the titles. She needed information on Connlaoth in general before she started to explore. It seemed wise to start basic and get more specific as she went. She moved her finger along each title before moving onto the next book looking for anything that might help. After she had pulled out a few she made her way to an empty table and flopped down. This wasn't the way she preferred to do things but it was the way it needed to be done... for now.
She flipped absently through the books, scanning the pages and observing the people. They might be able to help her as well. . .
