Even though she'd come to know and adore Kiaal, she was still a little nervous! Excited, too, but definitely nervous. She was leaving her home for good now to start a new life with her fiance, and the wedding was fast approaching. There was so much to do and think about and adjust to and if she thought about it too much, it got a bit overwhelming!
She arrived at Kiaal's home late in the morning and, with the help of her footmen and servants, was escorted from the carriage and into the building. Kiaal was waiting for her in her new quarters, she was told, and her heart thrummed with excitement. It had been so long since she'd seen him!
As they walked, she found herself fussing with her hair and clothes, adjusting the high collar of her dress and patting at her hair, hoping to flatten down any flyaway hairs. She'd bought a new dress just for the occasion, dyed blue with Thanati inks, accented with delicate embroidery, and with a bodice that made a good, bold effort at giving her a bigger chest and smaller waist!
Soon they were there, just outside her new room, and Liadan smiled brightly when she caught sight of Kiaal.
"My lord," she greeted, curtseying.
