Suit? Taiyou thought, wondering if he meant a suit of plate armor. Those were precious to knights. Taiyou herself owned her own costumed suit, adapted for flight. She bowed before Sir Thortin.
"It's my duty to help," she said, before turning to her scowling mother.
"I wont dirty the skirt," Taiyou promised. "Or the shoes," she added as her mother opened her mouth to speak again before going off.
Anwar sighed and turned to the troubled father.
"I'd be delighted," she said, defeated, as she held out her arm to be escorted.
Taiyou had seen Adrius run up the road away from the estate. She called upon one of the breezes stored in her belt to chase after Adris. She followed idly after it. Taiyou was grateful for the chance to escape, even though she had not stepped into the house. It was nice to walk, though the slippers were not made for strolls. She could tell the gravel was harsh on its soles.
Still, it gave her time to think about what Adrius had said. She alone could not have declined the relationship - not for her own sake, but for her family's. But if Adrius made the decision, there was no stake behind it. It was perfect. After a few minutes, a cool breeze brushed by her cheeks. Taiyou smiled. She had not been to the park in a very long time.
---
The moon hanging lazily over head, Taiyou found Adrius in its light, lost in his head. Though she stepped quietly, her presence was given away by the bells in her hair, a small tinkling noise.
She stopped in front of him, her hands clasped.
"You won't run away again if I sit down?" she asked, arching a brow.
A sheepish smile tugged at her lips.
