Shnk! Meliadoul yanked her blade from the corpse over heavy breaths. She looked around in the dark desert night, her breaths weighed heavy apon her , and the cold was no forgiving gesture of how the rest of the night she would spend. She glanced to Tom, the young lad who tried his hand a swordplay, he was the first to die, a spear in his gullet. She looked around towards the left, Leroy, the Caravan master with axe in him like a split log, She stood up straight, glancing around towards the horses, 'least where they were last seen. They must have fled in the conflict. Meliadoul grunted, and finishing cleaning her blade. She looked towards the distance, and moved into the dark, her wounds weighing heavy, although not heavy enough. She would live to see the rest of the night, She will never bite the dust till she dies. She had a cut above her brow, it was rather annoying, she shook her head in an attempt to null the pain with thought, As Meliadoul looked towards the Moon, She heard horses gallop through the desert. She quickly turned unsheathing her blade and taking pflug stance. 'More bandits? Great' She thought, The dessert was no forgiving place, you would rob one man only to be robbed by another. Like a game of tag someone was always 'it'. She saw more and more horses run over the dune, adorning Black cloaks fluttering in the wind, curved blades that shun in the night, 20 of them... Meliadoul was surrounded, the horses circling her, she took stance, ready to prepare for the worst.

Talin watched as a knight in green was surrounded by bandits. The very same bandits which he was hired to hunt. He saw them circle the knight for a second, mentally preparing himself for the coming fight. After a few deep breaths and a swig of whiskey from his flask and he was ready. He kicked his horse into motion and came barreling down the hill where he had been spying on the bandits. Before they even knew what had happened he was among them. He had cut off a bandits arm at the elbow and hacked a gash in another's chest before they could even react. This was going to be fun.

Meliadoul ,and Im sure the bandits were caught heavily off guard by this steel beloved blade wielder . She quickly took the chance, running towards a fallen cavalry man while they were in shock, yanking the spear from his dead cold hands, and threw it at another cavalry man trying to flank the mystery savior. It hit dead true, getting stuck in his ribcage, She quickly after drew her blade as men charged towards her, taking an offensive Pflug stance to defend herself.  As the cavalry charged she ducked, thrusting her sword towards the horses neck, Causing it to fall foward, she pushed off the horse and it fell to the side, but her blade fell out of grip. Thankfully this little trick had caused the other horsemen to rear around the fallen horse. Meliadoul took quick action, looking to the man who had fallen with his horse, and punching him multiple times in the neck while he was in shock from the fall, Yanking his curved blade from the ground.  13 now remained, an unsure look apon their eyes

Talin was surprised. The knight was handling herself very well and he wasn't dead. One of those  things was good, the other was mildly disappointing. But well, back into the fray. Talin rode into a group of three bandits and before they had time to react one was decapitated and another fell off his horse with a slashed thigh. The last bandit managed to get a strike in but it glanced off the steel writing wrapping around his body. Talin grunted and cut a large gash in the mans chest. Talin turned to survey the battle and saw most of the other bandits descending on him. The next clash was short, brutal and left two of the other bandits and him bleeding on the ground. Talin lay there staring at the dirk in his stomach, consumed with pain, only one thought echoing in his brain.

I regret every decision that has led me to this low point in my life!

Meliadoul glanced over, her eyes darting in a frantic man, She unleashed a battlecry, grabbing a spear from a fallen marauder, and charging at the enemy. She quickly stabbed one off of his horse as he charged, others soon followed as she took stance, crouching low. As the last few horsemen charges at her, she stepped to the right of the horse, stabbing into the ribs of the horse, causing it to panic and topple the other riders like dominos . After that she rushed towards the wounded man. Checking his conditin, mumbling and grumbling to herself as she attempted to help him off of his horse, and set up camp in a cave that was nearby.  . .

Arclightning

Holy hell everything hurts. Talin was in a lot of pain, but no danger. As long as the knife was in him Steel would keep him alive. As the knight dragged him to a cave he barely managed to croak out a thank you. The next few minutes were him moaning on the floor of the cave trying to gather the willpower to do something, anything really besides moan.

He failed.

Meliadoul sighed, before looking to the man, offering a stoic melancholic expression, before she pulled out bandages, and a healing potion, she placed her hand next to the wound, and her other on the dagger. and she carefully , and quickly pulled out . Without a second thought she poured the potion onto the wound, and started to wrap it with bandages, she had been acustomed to healing wounds, so this wasn't her first time. Although the man would quickly pass out due to the potions affects.

Meliadoul stood up , moving the rucksack off of her shoulders and getting a small amount of firewood and starting a fire, aswell as setting up a put over it to cook some rations, atleast make them taste good...

Arclightning

God! Healing potions were very expensive and very effective, but holy hell they hurt. Talin realized that this was the first time he had used one. Huh. Talin sat up and saw the knight cooking rations. He tried to speak but his voice was too hoarse from screaming in pain. After a couple tries he managed to croak out
"There are some seasonings in my backpack." He gestured weakly at the small, patched mess that held his meager belongings. After all, she had saved his life. The least he could do was help make the food taste ok.

ZeroOrgan

Meliadoul smiled, before reaching for the seasoning in his bag, before suddenly ,she paused, the ripping of plate and armor heard as suddenly, two large angel wings quickly sprout from her back, she quickly reached back, feeling her wings as she stood up, looking around in shock, wondering what to do. After she got a hold of herself she sat back down, pouring seasoning into the pot, before then questioning what the hell was going on with herself. A Few moments later, she grew drowsy,.. and she passed out ,her wings catching her and softening her fall.. She fell asleep.

Arclightning

What? Talin's eyes widened and he bolted upright before grimacing in pain. He was in the presence of an angel? His head reeled. Angels were rare, very rare, so it was very unlikely that one was here, with him now. She might be a harpy, or... or... something. Talins thoughts slowed as the sleep agent in the healing potion kicked in and he slumped to the floor right next to the knight.

ZeroOrgan

She would awake an hour later, looking to the sleeping man, she looked to her wings and cursed, they were acting up again. She loved towards the man, strapping on his backpack to him, and her backpack strapped onto his chest, with abit of heft she lifted him Bridal style, and moved outside of the cave.. She looked up to the sky, before bending down and quickly pushed off, flapping her wings and soaring into the air rather quickly, she looked to the man, thinking he was decently pretty, before she aimed to fly him to Essyrn..He would most likely awake midflight if she didn't hurry...

Arclightning

Talin woke up, looked around, and nearly had a heart attack. He was in the goddamn air!
"Holy what?!" He screamed and looked around, saw the knight with wings coming out of her back, then remembered what had happened before he had passed out. Talin considered the situation, then looked at the ground. After nearly throwing up, he decided to pass out.

Meliadoul damned near dropped him as he awoke, she jolted with shock as he woke up, She quickly tightened her grip ,flying towards a desert oasis where she rested often, she slowed her decent, to keep the man safe, as the sun was rising she decided to set up camp.

She set up the tent, nailing in the stakes into the sand, before she took another quick glance at the man, and then to the pool, she shrugged, taking off her plate, but remaining in her robes and common clothes to remain cool in the heat, the sun slowly started to rise.

Arclightning

Talin woke with a start, then immediately relaxed when he realized that he was on solid ground. He looked around, then saw the knight out of her armor. He stood up stumbled a little due two the head-rush. Then walked over to the knight and stopped a stride away. He was not sure what she was, but he was sure of one thing. She was a good person. And that was a rare sight in this world. He said quietly, almost ashamedly
"Thank you."

ZeroOrgan

Meliadoul smiled, simply waving a small wave, as if not to worry about it, before she turned back to the sun rise, allowing her wings to hug her for warmth.  She hugged herself with her arms as well, she was still shivering from the night's temp, and the sudden chance from night to day was affecting her heavily.

Meliadoul replied to his thanks. "Do not praise me, praise the sun" She smiled, before standing up. Going to turn around and look to him with a large wide smile.

Arclightning

Talin smiled and laid a hand on the knights shoulder.
"The sun didn't save me. You did. And I don't even know your name." He cocked an eyebrow questioningly.

ZeroOrgan

Meliadoul smiled, shrugging lightly and pulled off her hood, glancing towards his eyes, no hint of shyness or awkwardness ,only glee courage. She simply replied.

"Im Meliadoul, and I owe you my life" She did a rather fancy bow, gracefully extending her arms outwards to her left and right, her wings spreading out aswell following the movements of her arms. Honestly it was quite the spectacle, as the rising sun behind her shone apon her ,adding extra cosmetic affect.

"If you dont mind, Im looking for a travelling companion, Things can get pretty dangerous, would you care to join me?"

Arclightning

Well ain't she a spectacle. Talin was in awe at the majesty of this being. Her wings shining, and her eyes exuding bravery, how could Talin say no? He stuttered a bit as he said
"Well, Meliadoul, I shall join you for the time being. The places I go are typically dangerous, and it might be nice to have and extra sword to help." Or a pair of wings, Talin thought, remembering how she flew across an entire continent in a few hours. But the real reason was that he was in awe. How could he turn his back on an angel? His life would be that much worse. But here he was, about to travel the world with a creature of unsurpassed combat skill and grace, his only thought was
How could I have ever worked alone?

ZeroOrgan

Meliadoul smiled, giggling to herself as she took a glance at his features, she turned and began to strap on her armor, a glint of determination in her eyes as she looked towards the sun, it took abit to place her armor on, and it appeared she was having trouble doing it by herself. She sighed and grumbled as she attempted to put it on.

"So then, I take it your a mercenary? "

Arclightning

Talin smiled.
"You could say that." He noticed that Meliadoul was struggling to put her armor on. It was a funny sight, an angel having a hard time putting on plate armor that was scratched and worn from hard use. He stepped up and kneeled down in front of the angel before fastening the buckle on the plate on her thigh that she was struggling with. He then without a word helped her put on the rest of her armor with quick, dexterous fingers.
