Physical Description

Short and curvy with bluish-green skin and long white hair, KC's roundish face and large pink eyes give her a cutesy feminine charm that she uses to her full advantage whenever possible. Her large floppy ears are expressively mobile, allowing her a wider range of body language communication than humans are capable of. Her smile is another thing altogether however; with her sharp teeth and the way her eyes narrow with cat-like predation makes any expression of genuine glee look as if she's planning on some kind of shenaniganery.

Her clothes are all durable and self-modified to fit her, and most of the time the only real extra adornment she allows herself is the shockingly high quality wizard's hat that she says she got from the person who initially taught her magic.

Personality

Curious, exciteable, and with seemingly little regard for her own safety, KC is the consummate explorer. She often says that she's willing to try almost anything once, and is willing to prove it if questioned. What gets her in the most trouble however is her foul-mouthed tendency to provoke people to see how much she can get away with before she needs to make a hasty retreat. Likewise, her transient living situation means that she has far fewer scruples about things like theft and trickery than those in more stable living conditions might have; though she makes a concerted effort to never take from, swindle, or otherwise inconnvenience anyone who has less than her. Oh and no killing. Gotta have some standards, right? But if she can get a hot meal and a decent bath out of the deal, she's not too proud to do just about any kind of work.

Magic/Abilities

Though her magical education was cut short in a hilarious ball of fire, KC did manage to learn a few things.

She can take parts from magical creatures and make potions that have effects related to that creature. Her most plentiful potion uses goblin spit and makes the drinker invisible for short bursts of time. These potions usually work as intended, but given the incompleteness of her training and her overall lack of a stable brewing space, sometimes they come with unintended side effects.

Likewise she has the most basic grasp of fire magic, allowing her to turn a candle flame into a fireball to hurl at enemies or keep a fire lit under her cauldron even with no wood to burn.

Her hat is a magical artifact that acts like a bag of holding, allowing most of her belongings to fit inside it and only being accessible if you know the activation word.

Finally, she seems like she's blessed by something out there. While not invincible by any stretch, she was once kicked by the pony she uses to pull her caravan and got away with only some moderate bruising. She even recovers a lot faster than you'd expect. This is by far the greatest 'ability' she has when taking any kind of dangerous job.

Relationships

History

KC's life before meeting the mage Duvall was bad. After he took the young goblin in as his magic apprentice, it continued to be bad. KC was convinced for some time that her life would just... be bad. But then fate intervened one day, if by fate you mean that Duvall's workshop turned into a smoldering crater because KC swapped the labels on some of his alchemical reagents. Taking what wasn't a scorched mess, as well as the hat she'd stolen before the workshop went kaboom, she set out on her own to try and make a life that was better for her.
