Aurelia impelled into the village on Nydia. Halting the mare and sliding off her back, the woman clutched the reins and walked the Spanish Arabian into the marketplace. It bustled with people. The untainted mare made the crowds part though as she clopped through. Aurelia impelled towards a cart and bought a bagel and a carrot for Nydia. Here you go girl. she harmonized as she fed the beauty. But abruptly the mare pulled away and yanked the reins from Aurelia. She fell back but regripped the reins to calm the mare as she stood. What happened? she thought

Her golden eyes noticed the woman by the wayside whose horse had suddenly shied away from her.  She could relate to the woman because many times her own mounts had done the same to her.  But it wasn't the same this time, it was almost like a fear, not just rebellion which caused the steed to pull away from its rider.  She approached the cart upon the pretext of buying herself a loaf of bread but really just to take a closer look at the horse and its rider.  She had expected herself to need a lot of time to try and discover the meaning behind the strange behaviour of the animal, but even as she drew within 15 feet of the cart, she could smell something foul in the air.  Feel something unnatural.  She felt naturally repulsed by it but approached the stand anyway.  She held out a coin and said. "One loaf of bread."

Noticing nothing else unusual that was happening, Ayeth sighed and left the stall, wandering back off into the crowd and quickly disappearing.
