He stood outside the main gate to the castle looking up at it.  It had been a long time since the last time he was here at the castle.  But here he was, on a visit to the castle.  It had been so long since the last time he had been here, just how long ago had it been he wondered?  He looked downat his daughter as she marveled at the sight of the castle.  "Its bigger than our house!"  She exclaimed brightly smiling widely.

He smiled at her, his face taking on one of its rare moments of happiness and gentleness.  "Thats because this is the most important place in Serendipity Kori."  Ecal told her before looking back up at the castle.  He tried to remeber how long it had been since the last time he was here.  When was it...

"Why have we never visited before father?"  Kori asked her dad.  As far as she could remeber, she had never been here before.  Thats when Ecal realized, they had never visited since Kori had been born 13 years ago.  They have seriously never visited since she had been born Ecal realized with a shock.  Than another shock hit him, why did he care about how long it has been since they last visited the castle and met other Nobles and talked with the king?  But no matter how he looked at it, to much time has passed since the last time he had been here.

Aurelos had been watching the family for some time.  He had arrived to the Castle earlier that morning and had finished his business concerning some Orin family documents.  It eluded him why his father hadn't taken care of those matters before he left on his vacation, but Aurelos knew what he was suppose to do.

He was a "dutiful son".  Whatever that meant.

Then again, maybe families weren't that bad.  Judging by the one nearby, they could be quite...fetching, actually.  Aurelos had never considered the idea of himself having a family.  Families always seemed like they belonged with other people.

And unless he married a woman that was half and half like himself, his children would probably die before he did.

Now that was depressing.

"Impressive, isn't it?" Aurelos called out to the man, walking over to him, arms curled around his back.

Ecal had was about to give his presious daughter an answer when a voice called out.  Looking up while scratching his horn Ecal spotted the young man.  But he did not recognize the young man.  But that didn't matter.  It seams he has indeed been gone to long from the castle.  Ecal gave his best friendly smile he could muster, though it came off sort of evil lookig.  Than again it might have had something to do with his single devil horn above his right eye.

Ecal stood 5'9" tall, which while is not a typically intimidating hieght thanks to his six inch long black horn above his eye and the fact that his right eye seams to just glare at everything he sets it uopn and the fact that his smiles always come off evil, Ecal had a reputation for being some what itimidating with out trying to be.  Currently he wore one of his finer black duke clothes with a black rune covered headband covering his left eye.  The Engel family crest pined below the Serendipity crest on his left chest.  "Indeed it is, as it has always been stranger.  I am Duke Ecal Blackblade Baneblade Engel, and this is my daughter Kori Yuki Engel.  My I have the pleasure of knowing the name of the one I speak with?"  Ecal said to the man giving a small bow.

Unlike her father Kori was short, she stood only four feet tall.  But she was adorable.  She wore a simple yet elegant white dress.  Her black hair was shoulder length and though not worn in any fancy style, instead it was just straight down with the bangs combed out of the way, it was obvious that is was well kept.  She had bright beautiful blue eyes that shone with joy and happiness.  Above her eyes were what appeared to be two small boney stubs, both black in color, obviously they were the beginings of her own horns.  On her back at her shoulders was a pair of small white feathered wings, like those of an angel, only small and not yet functional.  She to looked up at the man smiling and when her father gave his bow she gave her own curtsy.  "Greetings!"  She said in her sweet voice.

"Time for another walk," Dris muttered. The fifth one today already. He liked walking, it allowed him to relax and think a bit. It seemed today he needed more time to think and relax then usual. He was a bit stressed. Its not easy being a regent. Especially with troubling times with the king missing. Drauis stood up from his desk and took a walking stick, a cane really and left his office which was located in his room. So many problems, the king missing with the head mage. 'Ugh, he thought. He was in love with the head mage. But he was also ambitious enough to want her position, even though it was below his. It was something he wanted since he was a child. Luckily, his love for Chailyn was more then his ambition.

Dris walked among the castle hallways, heading toward the main gate to where the city of Arca was, where he could walk about, in no apparent direction, to no apparent place. He had reached the ground level and was walking toward the main gate when he noticed a man with his daughter. He had a strange feeling about them, not bad, just strange. He jumped back into the shadows to watch what happened with them as another man went up to them. He was a curious person after all.

(Ooc: I am actually waiting for you to finish our little thread with Kori and Drauis, so I probably won't meet up with you here.)
