CH. I – Painting a Portrait
Theon often does not recognize the face that stares back at him when he looks into a mirror, for it is so foreign to him.  He's a strikingly good looking man and appears younger than he really is, but his gaze is experienced and wise, even more than he feels at times.  With smooth skin and a beardless face that seems unable to grow a wisp of hair anywhere except his eyebrows and scalp, he has deep, purple eyes that appear narrow and exotic underneath sharp, thin eyebrows.  He has soft, angular features, with thin lips and high cheekbones. Theon only knows that the face he bears is probably not his own, though he can't explain why he feels this way.

Physically, he's fit with a tight athletic build, and his body is clear of any blemishes or scars.  The only strange marking is that of a lotus flower burn marking on his shoulder that he cannot place where he got it.  Theon, while not a man kept up to date on the highest fashions, keeps his black hair short and trimmed, which he cuts himself.  It looks messily cut, as he has no skill in barbering, and chopped slightly shorter in one spot than another, but over all is rather even on his head.  It is pushed out of his face, only slightly contrasting the bronze tan of his skin

+ NOTABLE MARKS +
A burn mark in the shape of a lotus flower that is located on the lower left part of his shoulder.  It is not ugly or misshapen but almost appears as if somebody put it there intentionally, though the wherefore and why currently remain unknown to Theon.

+ PREFERRED CLOTHING +
He's not a picky man and his wardrobe consists of simple articles of clothing that he washes as often as possible.  He's usually seen wearing his cuirass over layers of simply crafted tunics, made for the lower middle-class and wears brown leather pants with loose, folded boots over them.  On his sword belt, he carries Lohengrin at his side at all times.

CH II – Mental Make-up

Struggling with his amnesia makes him much more receptive and open to the world around him.  He's far from naïve though and won't just agree to anything that a stranger might offer him.  He's a learner, though and eager to try new things that interest him, and enjoys reading whenever he can.  He's not very sophisticated, and doesn't try to be when he knows he's in way over his head.  But he's disciplined enough to respect procedure and how it's done, and will break it only if he has to.  Rules, to him, are merely guidelines rather than a strict code of conduct to follow.  Over the few months that he's traveled, he's learned to follow his own natural instincts.

While he prefers to keep to himself and doesn't like starting trouble, he'll more than welcome the company of another and likes to be social with people he knows.  He finds himself rather attached to the Hooded Crow, Jouzan, that follows him wherever he goes, and converses with the strange bird that is capable of speaking back.  He can be shy among strangers, but quickly settles in and is rather sensitive to the world around him.  Though he may often misinterpret things, he takes it all at face value, and he's honest and sincere when he speaks and is kind when he has to be.  It seems like he has to learn most things all over again, as his amnesia makes it difficult to recall things that should be familiar.  But being here in a new country and continent, he's still got a lot left to learn.

Theon doesn't have much of a taste for nobles or nobility.  While he's not particularly prejudiced against them, from what he's seen so far, many nobles are bullies and he has a severe dislike of bullies.  He doesn't like people that use aggression to get what they want or make other people do what they want and will stand up for someone that's the victim of bullying if need be.

He's not an aggressive man, however, and doesn't go looking for fights, avoiding them if he doesn't have to.  He's a go with the flow kind of man and reacts to people as they present themselves, keeping his opinions to himself unless asked about them.  While in the heat of battle, Theon is able to maintain a clear head and is able to fight fire with water, meaning he sticks to defensive tactics rather than offensive ones, but will press the attack when the moment to strike is right.  Killing is not high on his list of things to do, but if someone dies because of a problem they caused, in his mind, they more than likely deserved it, though circumstances still remain in mind.

+ FAITH +
Theon's amnesia doesn't give him much of a recollection on the importance of gods or religion, it's beyond him for now and while he wants to understand, as of now, he doesn't have the patience for it.  Theon, in some extent, worships the earth around him, and has a great deal of respect for nature and animal kind, especially birds and other flying creatures.

+ HABITS +
He avoids deep water like the plague.  Theon has a deathly fear of deep water, the kind that he cannot see the bottom of, especially.  Among this is the sea and thrashing, rushing rivers and streams that seem difficult to cross alone.  He's not afraid of boats and once in a boat or other type of sailing vessel will generally be fine as long as he does not stare deeply into the depths below.  Should he take that long gaze, he begins to hyperventilate and have a panic attack and struggle as if he were drowning himself.  This may be due in part due to the recurrence of his drowning man nightmare.  However, he's just fine when it comes to shallow water and will bathe without trouble.

+ RELATIONSHIPS +

CH IV – Abilities / Skills

+ DANGER SENSE +
While not a wholly psychic ability, Theon has quickly learned to trust his gut instincts and can sense when danger is drawing near, threatening either his person, or any companions he travels with.  It manifests itself as a feeling of nausea and a series of visions that flash before his eyes.  Depending on how bad the circumstances are, it may go from being a simple headache to him needing to rest for a length of time.  His 'visions' can extend from as early as a few seconds, to a few hours and at the most a week to a month. This extra perception allows him to prepare for things coming his way, but it is not always accurate and neither is it a constant thing that he can control.

+SWORD SAINT +
Theon possesses higher than average skill with bladed and piercing weapons and can wield a sword and axe particularly well.  However, his weapon of choice is Lohengrin, the strange blade that guides him and maintains itself within his vicinity.  He can wield the blade as if it were a part of himself, second nature, essential to his very being.  His connection to the sword is unmistakable, and to be parte with it would be like losing a limb.  He does not call himself a Sword Saint, and his knowledge of this position is unbeknownst to him, but he remains attached to Lohengrin, nonetheless, knowing the sword holds the key to his lost memories.

CH V – Gear / Equipment
+ LOHENGRIN +
From the outside, the sword appears like any other, a longsword with a silver-edged blade that seems to be eternally sharp and polished, gleaming like starlight.  The sword is lighter and has a thinner blade as it goes down in length from the hilt to the point, making it both effective for cutting and stabbing, as well as faster to swing and parry.  While appearing as an ordinary longsword, the weapon has the passive property of illuminating dark places to its wielder's sight.  It allows its wielder to maintain a steady, clear mind, also providing a sense of peace.  Lohengrin emanates a positive aura to its wielder to purge negative thoughts and feelings from their body, as well as beginning the healing of minor wounds as soon as they happen.  The sword increases its wielders regeneration rate and allows them to recover from fatigue faster than normal.

CH VI – Reflections of the Past

Theon cannot consciously remember anything about his past.  He awoke one morning to the sounds of gulls, and to the rocking and roiling of a ship at sea.   He did not know how he got there, did not know who he was or where he had come from.  He awoke to find a dead body lying beside him, that of a young man with a face similar to his own, but lifeless.  The body did not appear to have any signs of violence done to cause his death, but almost seemed to be sleeping if Theon hadn't known better.  As he got a good look at it, the face of the man began to disintegrate, melting into water and eventually dripping to the floor in a puddle.

Theon spent the rest of the journey as the ship's reclusive guest, speaking only when spoken to and asking odd questions about where they had sailed from and where they were going.  He did his best to stay awake as long as he could and avoided the bed where the dead man had melted into water in a way he didn't understand. Though when he slept, nightmares hounded him, nightmares of a man falling fast and deep through the chaotic waters of a storm, drowning and clasping for anything that might break him to the surface.  To the sailors of the ship, Theon was, a quiet and a little strange, good luck charm that allowed them to endure a storm that had come their way.  Theon had dreamt of the storm and thought that the drowning man in his dreams might be someone on that ship.  All he could remember for himself was that his name was Theon Arand and that sword at his side was called Lohengrin.

When the shipped docked in Cerenis, he got off the ship and began wandering ever since, living as he could with what skills he could provide to people who need him.  He refuses to sleep when he can, as he is often plagued by a series of seemingly prophetic visions, the nature of which are haunting and often which he can find no meaning in.
