Physical Description
Huge almost to the point of being a human giant though really isn't anything of the sort; Venaede's lineage consists of parents of fairly average height.  But in any case the fact that he's a large man is not lost on anyone he meets, not even his enemies.  Venaede is not one to use his size to intimidate though it surely does on an average basis.  Well-muscled and strong, he's actually rather lithe for someone of his size despite the well assumed bulk.  For the sake of his profession, he keeps himself in top physical condition at all times, thus making him built for both strength and speed.

An aquiline nose sits at the center of his slightly bronzed face.  His flesh is only somewhat tanned due to the lack of exposure to the sun and since most of his work occurs during the night-time.  Dark silver-ish eyes rest parallel to each other and are often narrowed with dark slashed brows above them and coming together in a furrowed fashion.  A grimace usually rests on his face and it is difficult to tell if he even knows how to smile and it is quite evident in his eyes that there is hardly an ounce of kindness.

Despite his adaptability, versatility, and quickness, he's not unmarred and bears many scars on his arms and chips and scratches along the protective, thick leather cuirass he wears.  His face was not spared either as it also bears much of the story of his ventures; across his forehead are the scar marks from where a werewolf attempted to swallow his head whole and slashes across his cheeks from the claws of beasts.  Preferring brown as one of his favored shades to wear, he wears his weapons on him at all times, particularly his ax-whip, a dangerous device and the source of his many scars.  He refrains from wearing large, open, or easily shredded clothing.  He sticks to wearing his sleeveless cuirass of layered leather that also has plated steel slide into it.  The entire piece is put together in a lamellar fashion.  As for pants and boots, he garbs his legs in an equally protective form of leather pants and durable travel boots with steel plating at the toe and heel.  Buckles run along the side of the footwear for both doubled protection and a secure fit.

Personality
Very impersonal and cold, there is almost no emotion to be had in Venaede.  He's ardent about his mission to slaughter the creatures of darkness and focuses on almost nothing else.  He's a sociopath if there ever was one; despite his intentions to slay creatures of evil, vampires especially, he does not go about it in a very moralistic fashion.  Hardly anything surprises him, for he has experienced much in his years.  He's not a talkative person but will steadily address anyone who speaks to him.  He can easily become disgruntled by things that do not go according to plan or if something unnecessary pops up.  But unlike the creatures of the night, almost nothing could irritate him more than a mortal who constantly presents themselves as helpless.  He feels he should not be compelled to have to save people despite his reputation and that if you can take care of yourself, you should.  Those undeserving of life, he leaves to suffer their own demise.

He responds to others without passion but fights with insurmountable determination and burning anger.  It is inexplicable just as to why he hates monsters, but with every death it seems the silver of his eyes burn in the desire for a vile revenge.

Magic/Abilities

  • He has no actual magic whatsoever other than his natural athleticism.  He very suspicious towards magic and/or magic users and likes how Connlaoth has a strict no magic policy.
  • Remarkable ability to wield a nigh unwieldly weapon, the ax-whip.  The weapon itself consists of a single ax shaft with two parallel ax heads on opposite ends of the shaft. The shaft is split in half with a chain inside that holds both ends together when it opens up; then it can be wielded like a whip.  The device is versatile and has saved his life in a number of ways.
