     · Physical Description ·
Yaotzin is a classical devil, and while he might hail from an abyssal realm of fire and brimestone, he isn't what most would consider evil. He certainly looks the part though. Tall, reddish skin, with black curled horns and cloven hooves. Dark nails and slit-pupil eyes like that of a snake. Never mind the pronged tail. In his normal body, his black hair is silky and long, reaching mid-back, and he wears tailored, expensive clothing that fits him. Generally in dark shades and colors. He's a strong, muscled creature with a smooth voice that seems like silk along the skin when he talks.

His alternate forms vary considerably. Depending on the mood and situation, he can be anyone from a strapping young soldier to a wealthy, elder noble. The gender can also change. These polymorphs are rudimentary in that they change what he looks like but he doesn't function very well in them. The soldier looks like a soldier, but he's not exactly strong in the human form and fighting in such makes him look awkward. Never mind how silly he is as a woman. More to the point, his human forms don't function in that he can't have sex in them. It's like he pulled over a very snug fitting rubber suit. To resume normal function, he needs to be himself. Eating and drinking are likewise uncomfortable.



     · Personality ·
Yaotzin is a displaced devil that sees his time on the material plane as a sort of vacation. He believes himself to be rather invulnerable - and he is to must mundane forms of danger / weaponry - and all he wants to do is explore and have fun. Granted, his idea of fun is tempting people to do things they might not otherwise do, but he's not about getting people to do things they wouldn't do at all. Rather, Yaotzin is the devil of desires, passions. Sometimes that manifests as a good night out, drinking. Sometimes that manifests in seeking revenge. He never commits whatever evil there might be, but he certainly doesn't stop it. He's forever an enabler, an encourager, and likely the best friend anyone will ever have in a very short amount of time.

That being said, he doesn't like being blamed for things that aren't his fault and he has a thing about deals. Most devils of his ilk do. A promise made is a bargain struck. He will do whatever he must to uphold his end, and he expects the same out of whomever he's struck a deal with. What he asks isn't usually nefarious either.

Yaotzin never forgets a face and is, at base, a pretty charming devil.


     · Magic / Abilities ·
Invulnerable - It is exceptionally hard to kill Yaotzin, as he is an immortal creature. Mundane weapons don't wound him and most magics can't get past his natural resistances. He doesn't catch diseases and poisons don't bother him - though he'll say they taste bad.

Charm - When focused, Yaotzin can usually draw people to him. Get them to talk, warm up to him, and otherwise consider him their best friend even if they'd just met. Something akin to a vampire's ability to dominate someone, though his is more about subtle suggestion. If he does anything that would hurt or insult the person, the charm wears off. It only works if he's actually being charming and friendly.

Materialization - Yaotzin can create most minor, mundane items. Money, trinkets, consumables. They mean very little to him, but they open doors and make people happy so...

Magic - The devil is quite adept at fire and force magic. Setting things alight, snuffing out things, and a form of telekinesis that is magic based.

Given that Yaotzin is classified as Invulnerable in his abilities, I won't be threading him with anyone that wants to hunt him down and kill him. Not unless it's for a plot point.
