One day you meet someone and for some inexplicable reason, you feel more connected to this stranger than anyone else--closer to them than your closest family. · Physical Description ·Devianna, or Devi, has matured well for her age. She was brought up in a well enough family in Jadenshine, where money bought her security. She wanted for very little and, once it became known that she had quite an incredible gift, her family wanted to see that she would get the best education they could afford. That meant wearing nice, but simple enough clothes and ultimately sending her away.
Devianna might be short, but she doesn't carry herself as such. She dresses as an older girl might, wears her hair long, and would blend into the unremarkable masses were it not for her eyes. Usually brown, they highlight in blues, ambers, and golds. She's pretty enough, but not outstandingly so, with an infectious smile. If you can look past her eyes, that is.
· Personality ·Devi is a girl thrust into a large city, mostly on her own. Though she has a semi-noble name backing her, they were only able to afford to secure her an apprenticeship. No guards, no attendants. So she relies heavily on herself to see to her own needs, her own classes and responsibilities, and her own well-being. Fiercely independent, she's quite guarded too. Afraid to be taken advantage of given her remarkable talents and uncertainty about the world.
Devi is, at heart, a caring and warm person. She wants to learn to help people, to make the world a better place. She
feels like she has the potential to be great, to be amazing, and that both motivates and scares her. Especially because she feels rather lonely in this quest. Her ambition and young age leaves her with no friends - the other apprentices are older than she is and either don't take her seriously or envy her. More than that, she desperately doesn't want to disappoint her family and all that they've sacrificed to help her achieve this lofty goal and dream.
· Magic / Abilities ·Enchantress : Devi is capable of imbuing any item with just about any magical property
she knows. The possibilities are nigh endless, but it requires a great deal of focus and training on her part. Sometimes a sacrifice or other ingredients. As she's just beginning to really study and learn, the sky is the limit but she is very untested and knows very little about her abilities.
· Relationships ·Gilde Family : A name that is lucky in Jadenshine has turned into something of a sneer and joke in Kia's Court. Her family is wealthy enough in Jadenshine, but they lost a lot of that sending her off to Kia's Court for schooling. They're still recovering from that. Even so, they're a close bunch that believe family ties are more important than the weight of gold ( though they do hope to make a return investment on Devi's schooling ).
