There was a halo of light ghosting around his body, ribboning through rainbows of colors as Kathania laid there on the floor, staring up at his form. Smoke billowed behind him, his weapons and armor in flames as those blue eyes stared down at her with an unfamiliar ice, but a familiar shape and face set within. Curiously, Katahnia tilted her head as she looked up at her cousin, her lips parting as she spoke his name.
"Blaith?"
The man, who stood like a savage, beastily soldier, kept his head tilted as he looked down at her bleeding form, numbed from all of the wreckage strewn on top of her, but he didn't move to reach her.
"Blaith?" she repeated the words again, her voice soft, and croaky, and the rest of her hearing nearly deafened from the explosion but a moment before. She tried to move her body, and weakly sat up, and it was only after a moment did a flicker of recognition pass through Blaith's pale eyes.
"Kat?"
Katahhia released a relieved breath, her eyes welling up with tears as she struggled to her feet and threw herself into the man's arm, careful of the smoldering flames of his weapons. For a moment, Blaith didn't hug back, but Katahnia didn't care as she sobbed away into his shoulder and clung to him so very tight.
And she smelled of fresh soap.. with soft blonde hair tickling at his face-
a fragment of memories stolen from another bubbled up to the surface, and before Blaith knew what he was doing, words purred from his lips as he grabbed her by her cheeks and their lips crashed together with need....
And in that moment, not only did surprise take hold of Katahnia, but something else as well; as she felt some force within her being pulled, being sucked out- as if the man was drinking from her body from a kiss; and the sensation left her tingling, tickling and stunned.
And back int he hallway Lana and the others ran fast.
"She'd be down here! In this room.." though as she paused before it to catch her breath, she noticed there was a bolt across the door. Drake didn't hesitate as he moved forward to help her lift it, but the moment the door was opened and the pair rushed in-
"Kat!"
They stopped dead in their tracks, wide eyed as she was being kissed by a man in flaming armor.
And in the moment, something bubbled to the surface as Blaith returned tohimself, tearing his lips away from Katahnia as he held his blazing sword near to her as he glared back at the group who approached.
"Stand down or I'll cut her throat..." he growled, eyes narrowing viciously upon them as he took a single step back upon the crumbles of stony debris, all the while Katahnia felt light headed, the world swimming around her again like a carousel, with music that wasn't there, with a light headed, dizzy sensation, and colors haloing everything. Blood was pouring down quickly from her face, and as she turned to observe the group at the door, they were nothing more than a fuzzy vision of ghosts.
