__________________IN-DEPTH STUFF

Physical Description

No one seems to have ever really seen Solanacae in the flesh, or at least those that have likely are no longer living. There are whispers of their true appearance and existence although much else. Their age, gender, and general appearance are unknown save for their deep teal eyes that are lined in kohl and set in a rather ashen-grey looking face. The eyes have indiscernible pupils and are surrounded by black sclera. Additionally, when a light is shone on them they reflect it back like an animals.

As they are a Dietera though, they do possess a pair of long, soft batlike ears atop their head which are usually carefully folded and hidden against their skull and short, soft, chocolate brown hair. Solanacae also has a slightly squashed and upturned nose as well as a mouth full of very sharp, pointed teeth. Their build is broad across the shoulders and chest with well-defined muscles. While not exceptionally fast, they, like the rest of their kind are solidly built to be incredibly strong and physically overpowering. Solanacae also has a pair of leathery batwings that fold flat against their back. The wings attack to their back and run down to a tail instead of their legs as with real bats. This tail then folds up against their spine with the wings folded on top of it. Unlike other Dietera though, Sol's wings are damaged in that the membranes are shredded. They are currently incapable of flight.

Their preferred clothes are warm, layered, black, and easy to move in. The articles of clothing are almost always caked in mud and grime which doesn't seem to bother Solancae at all. In fact they seem most anxious when clean and free of dirt.

Personality

Sol is a hard person to get to know. They purposely give off a disturbing and creepy aura with the intent to unhinge and disturb their audience. They take immense amusement in making people squirm. However, they're not very good with emotions overall. Sol doesn't seem to have a real understanding of the spectrum of human emotions. While they recognise some of them, concepts like love, compassion, kindness, or loyalty are foreign and confusing to them. Remorse or guilt are very rare if nonexistent emotions for them.

In fact a lot of their actions and emotions are based primarily on instinctual reactions. There is a very animal quality to how they respond to situations or problems. While problem-solving and logic exist, there are still cases where no matter how many times Sol is introduced the problem and seen something is safe, they will still react every time, without fail warily and even hostilely at times.

Things

• Favourite foods are live beetles and rotting meat. The crunch is heavenly.
• Has a penchant for telling anecdotal stories in a creepy and mildly threatening manner.
• HATES baths. Will hiss and recoil if confronted with a full tub of water and told to get in.
• Sleeps buried in self-made graves. Would likely prefer to sleep under a bed than in it.

History

It is unclear whether Solanacae doesn't remember or just doesn't acknowledge their past prior to becoming a Dietera Creoptera. They don't as a rule keep track of time and as such aren't sure how old they are anymore. They go where they want and do what they want without much regard for others. If it pleases them, if it's something they want, if it benefits them, then they will do it. Otherwise, consider yourself very much on your own...or in trouble if it's you they want.
