Physical Description
Not tall by Yoreiqi standards, Layana only stands at about 5'5" tall and is curvy with a gently toned body.  She has long blonde hair that falls into small, gentle twist-like curls and is a bright color that her people compare to the sun, and skin unlike the others, which is much paler but deeply tanned from her days out in the sun.  Her eyes are a vibrant blue, as clear as the sky and she has thick lips, a small nose set upon a strong face and jaw.

Her hair is normally held up high and flows down her body in a thick braid that falls to mid back (if not bound in a braid, her hair might nearly touch the ground in length).  Her hair is thick and has a slight wave to it, an she has long bangs cut in the front that sweep to one side of her face. Though she wears it this way when traveling, other wise, when she is more lazy, she keeps it down in loose curls about her shoulders.

Her left ear has quite a number of cuffed piercings that crawl along the side of it, and the right side has considerably less, but has a distinctive red feather earring that hands down the side. On the same side of her face (the one opposing her side bang) she has beads and feathers woven into her locks, most of them being red or brown to match her earring.
Her hair is also adorned with red and copper sunlike symbols that chime as she moves or runs, or become rustled in the wind.

Layana has several tattoos, the most prominent being a red sun upon her left cheek and a circle with a series of concentric red circles around it on her right and left shoulders.  She has the Yoreiqi word for 'Hope' on her left foot, and a few red and brown tattooed bands crawling up her ankle.  A similar tattoo cuffs around her left bicep. Then on her left thigh, resting up high right where her body nearly meets with her hip, she has a small feather tattoo, which means a great deal to her. It had been drawn by one of her best friends growing up who has since died in a tsunami.

On her belly around her belly button is a circle and around it are rays- all of it painted in red. Her belly button is also pierced twice. Though she has many tattoos, due to the unique ceremony of her tribe, her body is painted in gold to match her hair- a ceremony she has come to embrace for it has also coined her the second nick name as 'Goddess of Beauty; daughter of the Sun.'

Because she has no wings, her clothing consists of bands of vibrant blue and gold clothe with bead and shell work over laid upon it and sandal like boots that ribbon up her leg to fasten onto her, and then a pair of 'sleeved wings that drape off her arms and littered with feathers from the unique birds of the island. The sleeves themselves are merely cuffs to keep the 'wing' part fastened to her arm, and on colder nights she can be seen wearing a shawl over her short skirted dress.

History
Layana was not born native to the island. Her family, whoever they had been, died in a ship wreck just south of the island. A storm ravaged it apart and somehow, left the young girl alive and well where she washed up on the most southern island of the Yoreiqi island chain.  When she was found by the small village of Amuhk-unta, she was brought in and raised by the small tribe to be one of them. Because she had hair like the sun, the village saw this as a sign and named her accordingly (her name meaning: Heart of the Sun, Will of the Sky).  And good fortune came with the child and she was seen as lucky, considering she had a unique power of healing and warmth and the village people worshipped her like the sun, claiming she must have been born of the Lady Sun and gifted unto them as a blessing, as her powers charge her body in a warm bath of golden light, and will cascade around her in a fanfare of light rods when in use.

Though she tried to protest it, it is fervently believed she is an ancestor of the Gods, so the woman now just 'goes' with it. She might as well. She lives like a queen, but even she feels like a rat, as if she's cheating this people into thinking she is something she is not and she yearns to return to the world she remembers from her youth- She has no idea she's just a normal girl from Connlaoth who's family sought living elsewhere due to their daughters unique magic.

Now she has grown into a beautiful young woman, and though she adores the attention, again, she seeks to find out more about the real her- not the goddess she pretends to be. Even if it is a little fun...

Personality
Layana is complacent in her job as a Goddess of beauty and the sun, and will often times exude a bit of snobbishness for it. After all, who can resist the will of a goddess? But even she knows her powers are limited, and that some other tribes think she's the devil, where as others seek to take her away. Thankfully, where she lives, there are natural barriers and the warriors are strong- but whose to say what might happen were she to ever meet someone from her own 'world'?

Magic/Abilities
Healing powers- Layana has a unique power of healing where she can even bring people back from the brink of death, no matter the age, ailment or reason. She can grant things as luck, longevity, cure of diseases and healing up wounds so that barely a trace of a scar is discerned.
Her powers do not come without a price, the more power she uses, the more her own body suffers. To bring someone back from almost death takes almost her entire energy and life to conduct, and she has been known to pass out afterwards, to awaken days later to the scents of incense and temple palms resting over her body. The people believed she was dead, and to hve risen from the dead multiple times was seen as a miracle.

Sunlight- Layana can 'create' sunlight, or rather light that mimics that warmth and intensity of the illumination of the sun

Spear- Layana's only weapon she has ever had to learn was the spear in order to fish and hunt, though she rarely uses it, it's about the only thing she is familiar with- though perhaps, if she had to, she could use a knife.

Relationships
Ti'yana- best friend (deceased)  (Not sure if I'm going to keep this part of her history- we'll see XD
Muk-anta- village elder
Bo-alba-mut- village mother
