Physical Description
Slight of form and barely 5 feet tall, the young woman is far from imposing... unless you count the fierceness of her blue eyes and the determination in her soul.
She has long, frizzy red hair- normally tied up and hidden under a hat as she tends to dress like a boy when in public- because being a young, unmarried and desperately pour woman is more dangerous than the life of a peasant boy.
Her skin is fair and freckle covered, and she has pale lashes.

Personality and history
Before her mother passed, she was a kind hearted young girl, full of hope and dreams. When her mother died, so did a part if her father, as he took to drink and beat her and her brothers regularly as any of their monies dwindled and the family became poorer and poorer. Eventually, most of her brothers were sent off to war.. 
Leaving Althea alone with her father.

Now she lives as a homeless beggar, except the few times her father has found her or one of her brothers coaxed her home during a break in their military career.

She was only close to two of her five older brothers.  The other three... have become no better than her father. They take to drink and unfortunately take it out on their wives.

Magic/Abilities
If she had any magics, she'd hardly tell you! But she's become a clever pick pocket during her boughts of homelessness.

Relationships
Mother is dead, father still alive and she has 5 older brothers.
She rescued a young pup called Douzen, a scrappy, scruff of a dog now that's her only close companion.
