Jovan bolted, and Aki snarled and shoved himself onto his hands and knees. He was still in pain, making it difficult for him to straighten up, but he was also pissed now and that made it a little easier to ignore the pain. Every instinct screamed for him to chase him.
In an instant he shifted, the transition between shapes almost seamless. One moment he was a human, and the next he was a shaggy black wolf trapped in human clothing that he had to pause to shake and kick off. But it was only a brief delay; moments later and he was bounding after Jovan, claws clacking on the floor.
He caught Jovan by the back of his shirt and yanked hard, throwing him back onto the floor before he pinned him, large paws on his shoulders and muzzle in his face, teeth bared. "And where do you think you're going?"
