CH. I – Painting a Portrait
A remarkably tall man of Essyrni descent and some Adelan blood in him.  His skin is swarthy from both his blood and from being in the hot sun.  His sandy blonde hair, with hazel streaks coming from his roots, is quite wavy swept back from his face, and a tiny ponytail is tied on the back of his head.  He has broad features, a wide, aquiline nose, narrow, snake-like eyes, and full lips.  His high cheekbones and deepened eyes give him a regal look, as if he was of noble lineage.  His body is strong and flexible, an athletic musculature obtained from constant physical activity of wandering the desert.  He has some hair on his chest and abdomen, a darker blond than on his head, and some on his arms and legs, which only makes life in the desert a little more uncomfortable than it already is.

+ NOTABLE MARKS +
One would be hard-pressed to maintain a perfect body in the work of an assassin.  In Radimir’s Order demands one test their blood and body against the venom of the deserts most dangerous serpents and he has distinguishable bite marks on the inside of his elbow and along his inner wrist of his right arm.  A white scar resides on the left part of his chest, trailing from his collar bone to his sternum.  A tattoo of a coiled viper is painted in black on his back, stark even against the tan of his skin.

+ PREFERRED CLOTHING +
Radimir wears loose layered silk robes to travel through the desert with, often tan to blend in with the desert sands, and a light, silk cloak attached to a head wrap that usually covers his face.  Underneath his robes is a protective girdle made of thickened leather to protect his stomach and X-shaped straps going over his shoulders with a buckle at the center to protect his chest, fashioned made of iron and leather.

CH II – Mental Make-up
Radimir walks a fine line between humility and arrogance.  He has a warrior’s spirit, and his honor demands that he fight to the very extent of his own ability.  He’s strong in heart and will and respects strength in others.  But his intelligence and common sense tell him when to quit and can recognize his own defeat before it costs him his life.  Radimir takes pride in his heritage and filial legacy, loyal to his family and to his Order.  Despite this however, he has a deeply independent need to venture on his own and be capable of fending for himself.  He does not easily accept the help or aid of others, particularly those who could be potential enemies.  Living life, almost literally, on a blade’s edge, makes one open their eyes that you can’t trust everybody.

Radimir is not a loudmouth, and knows when silence is best, but neither is he to remain silent and watch someone make a foolish decision if he can help it.  For all his calm exterior, Radimir’s temper is quick to flare and can be prone to making foolish decisions himself, despite counseling others against them.  He sees almost every moment in life as a test of will.  If you fall behind, you will die.  If you cannot fight for your life, then you do not deserve it.

+ FAITH +
Radimir is very devout to his faith.  While not quite a zealot, he prays to the Serpent deity, in which his Order was built around.  Na’gazhok, the name which they’ve come to know him as, is depicted as a large serpent, with tufts of feathers streaming on the side and two pairs of powerful human arms sprouting from a scaled torso.  Animal sacrifice is an often practice ritual and the usual offerings are birds of prey, their bodies and blood streamed into a bowl, while the feathers are claimed as trophies, sewn onto the assassin’s belt.  Radimir has three eagle feathers that hang from his own belt, prized possessions that serve as good luck charms, as well as to billow smoke to commune with his serpent god.

CH III – Social

+ RELATIONSHIPS +
Adurim, Father, Lord Viper
Maduk, Grandfather, Lord Serpent, deceased

CH IV – Abilities / Skills
+ VIPER MAGERY + *
Assassins of his order are gifted mages in the arts of poison, concealment, and illusion.  They have the power to disappear into shadow, chameleoning themselves with their environments, and to produce death curses, an image of a serpent drawn somewhere on the body of their target, starting a countdown as the serpent moves toward their heart.  When the fangs reach it, they will die.   The image can be small or large, depending on the potency of the venom and how long the sentence lasts.  The mages of this order inject themselves with venom, small doses to increase their resistance to it, and are masters of harvesting it and making powerful poisons to coat blades and various weapons.  The most gifted amongst them can transform themselves into vipers, slipping themselves unnoticed into unsuspecting places.  They have silver tongues, and when they speak, often one finds themselves lulled by their words, listening and moved by their counsel.  They may also charm snakes and serpents to do their bidding and obey their commands.  In the same turn, they may also inspire fear with either their words or their presence.  These effects vary in degree, depending on the target’s willpower.
*A mere overview.  Will be subject to alterations and updates in the future.

+ ACROBATICS +
He keeps his body in the best physical condition as possible, and can tumble and flip with the best of them.  He’s not afraid of heights, though most of where he dwells the only heights available are cliffs and sand dunes.  He can control his equilibrium to allow him to twist his body with grace and ease, and has broken several bones and his arm a few times in the cost of attaining this skill.

+ SWORD FIGHTING +
Radimir is a talented sword fighter and fast with every stroke of his blade.  However, he is not limited to swords and has a deep affinity for daggers and small throwing knives, which is particularly useful in both ranged and close quarters combat.  He also integrates acrobatics into swordplay, making him a hard target to focus on.

+ HAND-TO-HAND +
Should no blade in his immediate possession, Radimir is more than capable of handling himself where fists and kicks are concerned.  He fights with all parts of his body, from head to hip and fist to foot and is capable of wrestling his opponents into submission, though he prefers a knock-out blow over anything else.

CH V – Gear / Equipment
+ VIDAIN +
Radimir’s ancestral sword, once wielded by his grandfather and passed down to him from his father.  It is a falcata blade, with a hooked handle, though without the finger guard and with a broader hand guard.  It is one handed weapon, quick with a swift momentum.  The hilt is gorgeous, gleaming emerald fashioned to look like a serpent’s scales, the hook being a secret compartment to hold various small objects.  He keeps the old blade of blackened steel in pristine condition, sharpening it, and always coats the edge in venom.

+ BULLWHIP +
He also wields on his person, a long leather bullwhip hooked to his belt.  The handle is fashioned from snakeskin with a long fang at the butt of the handle.  The whip measures approximately eight feet in length with a weighted barb at the end, which is detachable and gives each crack more leverage.  The whip is used for both combat and as a grappling tool to scale across distances.

CH VI – Reflections of the Past
The Order of the Viper had once been called the Kings of Assassins and the Assassins of Kings.  They have always been a small and exclusive group, members swearing the location and secrets of their order to total secrecy on their death.  Contracts are commissioned in hidden code, delivered through ritual and sent to the Serpent Lord, the one in direct communion with their serpent deity Na’gazhok.  It is the most coveted position of the Order, right beside Lord Viper itself.  Though the titles have masculine traces, the prestigious positions are not exclusive to any one gender.  Members said to have died in glorious feats are honored as saints, residing beside Na’gazhok.  They have only one Sanctuary, hidden deep beneath the sands of the Moraki desert.

Radimir was raised by his father and grandfather, his mother reported to have been a poor slave girl that was kidnapped by his father and taken to live with him away from a life of servitude.  She left sometime after he was born and was said to have died in the desert.  He had a strict upbringing as a child, despite his place as the son of the Lord Viper.

He trained daily, trained hard with any and all that were recruited into the ranks, surpassing them by might and skill.  Prestige was gained only through action.  One’s worth was only as much as they proved.  The weak were culled and sacrificed to Na’gazhok to be cleansed of their weakness in baptismal fire.

Radimir took to his studies diligently, honoring the teachings of his predecessors, learning the lay of the deserts, the canyons and caves and trade routes and settlements, and of small teachings that resided beyond the Sehra Plains.  Radimir longs to explore these settlements, but his duty to his Order and his father keep him in the deserts, awaiting prey.

It was only recently that his grandfather was killed by disease, eaten away by leprosy, and the Order now awaits the sign of the next Lord Serpent, for without it the connection to their god could be forfeit.  And without it, they know his wrath, would break them into ruin.
