Physical Description
Mahvash keeps his long black hair in those pretty, fashionable braids that have been so popular lately and has even taken to adding little glass beads to them as well as feathers and other pretty things. His chocolate skin is soft and plush since he was raised in luxury and he has an almost boyish appearance. His eyes are hazel but seem much more brown than green, in fact the green is only noticeable if one really stares at them up close. His face is a bit rounded but handsome and his body has a little extra meat on it, especially in the tummy area.
Personality
Mahvash acts as though he is only interested in luxuries and the frivolous things. In fact, to most it seems as though he spends money like it is nothing and he is merely throwing away his wealth. In reality he is a very shrewd young man who knows how to broker deals and get things done, hence why he can afford to spend money... and he keeps track of how much is spent, do not let his façade fool you.
His true djinn (vice) is violence. He loves it. Lustfully so, but he prefers watching it to actually participating. Perhaps that is why he likes to orchestrate things behind the scenes and is also why he owns a fair amount of gladiators.
While he is a merchant prince, particularly in the perfume and oils business he inherited from his father, he makes a lot of money in other, more dishonest ways. He hates to lose and can have quite a temper when things don't go his way, though usually he just smiles in public.
Abilities
Money related ones mainly. Mahvash is the kind of man who outsources things he needs done through a myriad of connections. He can dance but does not particularly like to.
Relationships
Despite his relatively young age Mahvash has two as of yet unnamed wives, and 7 concubines, one of which is his half sibling Maram-Jinan.
He also owns a few champion gladiators that he seems to dote on, in fact word has it that as far as being a gladiator goes, being owned by Mahvash Samara is the best gig there is. He is particularly fond of one of his gladiators, a foreigner called Hawk.
Rumor has it he actually keeps them in the same quarters as his concubines which a bit odd.
History
Mahvash claims to have met a djinn when he was a child. This belief has shaped much of who he is today. The djinn in question was a baby, his little baby half 'sister' who he gave the name Jinan to. Though the child's mother, one of his father's concubines, chose the name Maram for the baby; so his father gave the baby the name Maram-Jinan.
Ever since he first saw this djinn with berry colored hair he has hated and obsessed over it, especially since their father was so fond of the thing.
He had to own the djinn. It had to belong to him.
When he was 18 and already married to his first wife, his father mysteriously passed away and Mahvash inherited everything. The circumstances were suspicious and Mahvash found it stranger still that the djinn just took off with nothing to its name, trying to live as a man and so Mahvash had her kidnapped by slavers and sold to him.
