Harold was in the world of dreams, at least until there was a loud howling somewhere outside his home. He burst up and got dressed quickly, he grabbed his crossbow from under his bed and started to march outside.

"Damn wolves" Harold growled, annoyance obvious in every feature.

This was the third time that wolves had shown up at his farm, they tried to kill the animals, and only the first time they came had they succeeded. He burst open the door and looked out and turned to see if he could see them. He grabbed a lantern and a match and lit it on fire, light came forth from the lamp as Harold stepped towards the chicken coop. Harold readied his crossbow in one hand and the lantern in the other, he stopped and listened for any noise inside the coop, then he heard a loud moo, coming from West of him. Harold recoiled in shock and started to run towards the fence where the cows were. He reached the fence and looked, seeing a few grey wolves circling a group of cows. He took aim and readied to fire until he saw something else, it was a large wolf, an unnaturally large wolf. It was five feet tall and walking slowly towards the other wolves. Harold for a moment wished that he could just let them kil the cows, but the chickens hadn't produced enough eggs this year, and he was relying on the cows.

Harold took aim once again and fired a bolt into the head of a smaller wolf, there was a hell of pain, and then all the wolves turned around to face Harold. He quickly reloaded, and fired another shot, this time into a stomach of the large wolf. He could tell it felt the arrow, but it didn't appear to do anything. They started to charge at Harold, and so he reloaded and aimed, until every one of the wolves, besides the big one was dead.

The hulking beast was close to Harold, he could smell the foul stench it held, and its deep monstorous breath. He took aim one more time, and put the arrow into its face. The arrow landed with a sick noise as the wolves head faltered, and then looked directly towards Harold. It charged with a speed unlike before, he wolf almost reaching Harold before he had a time to think. He reached for his lantern, and when the wolf was there, ready to kill him, he smashed the lantern against his head. The wolf stopped and fell to the ground, Harold took a deep breath and all was well once again on the Richardson Farm.
