After nearly three weeks of traveling, Eckhart had finally made it to Selevea. He was hoping to find a book on life magic that he hadn't read yet, because no matter what spellbooks he used Eckhart couldn't seem to learn any new healing spells. Every library he had been to seemed to have the same, limited selection. Eckhart really didn't want to believe that he had no powers apart from stopping bleeding and healing flesh wounds, so he was- unfortunately- going to have to check the black markets.
First, however, he needed to find a place to eat. Eckhart hadn't had a hot meal in weeks, and the smells of the city reminded him just how hungry he was. He finally found a tavern called "The Hungry Tarrasque" which seemed to be within his small budget, and he was surprised to find that it was completely packed. After scanning the building for an open seat, he spotted a table at the far end occupied by a single... person? It was too small and hairy to be a human, and dwarves didn't have ears that big. "What the hell is that thing?" he thought to himself, before the seemingly obvious answer hit him in the face. "Hang on, there's a full moon tonight. It must be some sort of were-beast."
Hoping that he didn't look entirely out of place in a rough and tumble place like this, Eckhart walked over to the table and sat down. Flashing a nervous smile towards the odd looking creature, he tried his hardest not to sound timid. "Um, sorry, I can't find any other seats. I hope you don't mind."
