     · Physical Description ·
Most would call Esylvisthre small - and they wouldn't be off their mark. She's a lithe, short woman under layers of fine, interesting to the touch fabrics. Lace, silk, tight weave cloth, leather. Adorned with a myriad of metallic accents in both her hair and in the form of more common jewelry like necklaces, bracelets, earrings, a nose ring, and rings on every finger - she's quite a sight. The colors of said clothes run pretty mundane and standard though. Black and brown - things that don't stain easily  and stand up to travel.

For all that Esylvisthre cannot see, she likes clothes that feel good to the touch. Which means, when she can afford it, she wears things that are quite nice. Coming from a privileged family and having no qualms about cheating people out of their money, she'll do just about anything to make sure she does have nice things to wear. It isn't for other people, she wants the clothes she wears to feel nice, both on her body and to her own sensitive touch.

Her dark brown hair is relatively short, just hitting her shoulders, and it's frequently adorned with a simple veil that also doubles as an eye cover.

     · Personality ·
Esylvisthre is very detached from other people and society at large. Most are props to her story, her world, and she uses them as such. Stepping stones to whatever it is she wants to do in life or game pieces to be moved around in a pleasing formation. Rarely does she ever think of a person as another creature with thoughts, feelings, or meaning. This means she thinks nothing of cheating people out of their money in dice games / rune reading or tarot reading. While she can certainly predict things, as she does have a magical sight of sort, she rarely wastes it on people for such things. If she can cold read people or talk her way into them giving her their money, she'll do it that way instead - since most people aren't worth her talents.

Ultimately, Esylvisthre is very selfish. Once she lost her sight, she felt the world owed her - and since it's not paying up willingly, she's out to take what is owed to her by force. Seemingly helpless at first look, she is quite far from it. While not necessarily physically able to defend herself - she is still blind - Esylvisthre is adept at some spell casting and has a sharp wit that is able to frequently manipulate both people, and the situation, so she's not forced to fight. Rather, she'd much prefer if people do the fighting for her.

She does maintain an odd relationship with a raven she's picked up in her travels. Karga, as he's called, doesn't look anything like a damn raven but that's what she calls him. Anyone saying anything otherwise is likely to be met with derision and sarcastic deflection. Esylvisthre wholly believes that Karga happens to be quite an intelligent bird that, through a series of fortunate circumstances and wit on her behalf, she managed to acquire.

Karga, however, is a cursed mage stuck in the form of a not-quite-raven looking bird-creature. He's in full control of himself and fully aware of his situation and what's going on. He can even talk, rudimentarily, but anything he says Esylvisthre chalks up to him being the former brilliant bird to a mage. ( Not entirely wrong, he was 'owned' by the person who cursed him previous ).

Karga was a mage of some renown, in his area, and competed heavily with another in his vicinity. They often were trying to out do one another, but it was usually in relatively harmless ways. As such things are wont to do, it went too far and became too serious - resulting in the curse of Karga into his raven form. Immediately regretting the severity of the curse, Karga was taken in by his rival and they began working on a way to reverse what was meant to be a maliciously irreversible curse.

Years and, despite Karga's desire to become human again, they frequently butted heads and fought. Each believing they knew better or remarking on the ineptitude of the other. Karga also accused the other of 'being stupid on purpose' so as to leave him as a pet bird forever.

Fast forward some time when Karga saw an opportunity between a Seer and her traveling companion to rid himself of his stupid rival, which he set up through a proxy. He made it a heavy magical suggestion to the Seer that she take him in, and protect him, while he tries to figure out this curse his damn self. He is rather short and plays his part as raven around Esylvisthre, but he's fully capable of using magic, talking, and holding intelligent conversation.

He attempts to subtle steer the Seer in the direction of things, or people, he thinks would be useful to figuring out his cure. Otherwise, he's using her for protection, shelter, etc. Better than being stuck in a tower with a moron.

     · Magic / Abilities ·

Divination, of a sort : It's not that she can see the future, but she can see other places. Scrying, in a way. Especially if she has an item from the place, the person, etc that needs scrying on. In that, Esylvisthre is a great tracker. She can also see flickers of the past or who might have interacted with such object. The future is not something she can even begin to guess at.

Slight of Hand : Despite being blind, Esylvisthre is very good and very quick with her small, delicate hands. There's a plethora of layers and hidden places on her dress. If there's something valuable on your person, best not sit too close.

Languages : Beyond being rather adept and studious mundanely, Esylvisthre can enchant herself to understand universally what people are saying. She says she has to do so to understand Bela, though this isn't the case. Just says as much to rile him at times.

Survivalist : Having traveled as much as she does, Esylvisthre is quite at home in the wilds and can forage, cook, trap, and clean most wild animals or people to prepare them for any manner of meal.

Brief glimpses of sight : She occasionally uses Karga's eyes to view a task or situation. This can be disorientating and straining, so it's not something she wants to do in moments of heavy action - or moments that require a lot of action on her part. Karga can still see while she's doing this and has to allow her to do so, generally helping to bridge the connection, but he doesn't usually refuse her. If he does, she chalks it up to being unable to concentrate enough to do so.

Karga : He's quite a gifted mage and he'll protect Esylvisthre as the investment of his time and energy, and cover, that she is. No one is going to take a white... Weird bird... Seriously, so he uses her as he can and doesn't want to go through the hassle of having to find another... Friend... He's talented at all manner of disastrous magics ( think evocation, should you like ). When such spells are cast, it's hard to pinpoint their origin and he tries to do such things subtly unless he absolutely must. In which case, oh wow, look at that sudden lightning storm. How odd it seems to strike people we don't like. Yup.

     · Relationships ·
Karga : He's her beloved pet. >_>

Bela : They're friends. Travel buddies. Murder pals.

     · History ·
Esylvisthre was a small babe born into a minor noble family in a eastern, coastal Serenian family. The third child and first daughter, there was a lot of pressure on her to be exactly like her mother. Pristine, prim, proper. To learn history and nobility, to know maths and how the world worked. While Esylvisthre quietly resented the strict schedule and firm hand she lived under like many children might, she still did as she was told.

It all started to go wrong when she was about twelve. Her eye sight started to fade, and no one knew why. Thinking, at first, that Esylvisthre was being obstinate or lazy, nothing was done to correct it - and no one believed her - until she was  almost entirely blind. By the time she was brought to a cleric, it was far too late ( and far too costly, especially when she now had a younger sister ). She was granted a veil and her family was told this was now her life.

The pressure, the schedule, and attention fell away from Esylvisthre and she was left, frequently, alone in the large house while her family turned their attentions to other children who had a future to shape. This gave her a lot of time to build up her own independence, built on a foundation of anger and indignation at her parents.

Esylvisthre, when she was confident and competent enough, stole from her mother's jewelry box and struck out on her own.
