- Warrior-kings have ruled over Adela almost exclusively since its birth as a nation, political scheming and doublespeak being seen as cowardly and dishonorable. Military power is what gains and holds the throne in this kingdom.
Queen Consort- The Queen Consort of Adela rules alongside the King in governance of the realm, but as Adela recognizes only male children as heirs, her power is not regarded as equal to his.

* Princes/Princesses *- These lords and ladies of especially high status are set apart from others of their social class by having a precedented claim to the throne, either by a blood or marriage relation to a current or past sovereign or through the accumulation of power. In the event of a succession struggle, it is these individuals who will vie for the throne.
- Adela is infamous for its cut-throat political climate, one in which anyone with a large enough army behind them can lay claim to whatever titles and lands they please. Any character who commands the military force necessary to back their claim up can name themselves a prince or princess of Adela.
- Adela is patrilineal, meaning that only males are eligible to lay claim to the throne. Princesses with ambitions for the throne will have to marry, thus transferring their claim to their husband.

- An adjunct and steward to the king, the regent acts in his stead and ensures his commands are executed!
* Nobles *- The lords and ladies of Adela comprise the kingdom's upper class. Most are nobles by birth but it is possible to attain the title of Lord or Lady through the accumulation of wealth, land, and power. In Adela especially, one can achieve a high social status through military accomplishment and personal glory as a warrior.
- Many of Adela's lords are in continual conflict with each other to gain power and land.
Ambassadors- Diplomats sent from other countries to live in Adela and foster good relations between the kingdoms. Adela is on friendly terms with Serendipity and Essyrn, but tensions with Connlaoth have always run high. For more information on the state of said relations see here (//http://)

- The Commander takes their orders directly from the king and commands the nation's standing army, the largest to be found on the continent. It has not been uncommon in the kingdom's history for the Commander to usurp the throne.

* Dragonriders *- Truly the most effective and deadly of soldiers to be found in all of the Three Kingdoms. These front-line warriors ride intelligent and fearsome dragons into battle.
* Knights *- Heavy cavalry, many of whom hail from noble houses, though it is possible to rise to this esteemed rank on merit alone. The concept of knightly honor and chivalry is an imported idea from Serendipity that has caught on in Adelan culture.
* Soldiers *- Infantrymen who form the main body of Adela's military.
* Trainees *. o 0 O ~ Citizens* Villagers *- The mountains and dense, treacherous forests that cover much of Adela serve to isolate most villages. The folk making their homes in these settlements must be hardy and wilderness-savvy by necessity, for receiving aid from the larger towns and cities is often not a viable option, and significant magical abilities that might be of use are rare. Villages make use of palisades and rudimentary watch towers for defense against the dangers of the Draconi Forest—including basilisks, small raiding parties from rival lords, and brigands. A generally self-reliant and practical kind of folk, and prideful of that fact. The men hunt, fight, and farm while the women keep the home and see to children, crafting, and medicine. Many villagers can trace their families back to the fractured tribal days, before Adela was even a kingdom.
* Townsfolk *- Larger than the small villages and less isolated, towns in Adela will lie mostly along the river, on the coast, and in areas with lighter forestation and decent roads to connect them to the rest of the kingdom. Young townsmen who are capable will almost certainly serve in their lord's army as a way to earn both respect and money. Towns offer citizens many more professions and amenities than villages, but are also popular targets for a rival lord's armies. Men who live in towns will be able to take advantage of the many opportunities for employment, but women are expected to keep the home.
* Cityfolk *- Cities house a much greater variety of people than towns or villages. Essyrni and Serenian residents are a common sight in cities, whereas they would be rare in towns and unheard of in small villages. Cityfolk in Adela enjoy the security of fortified walls and well-trained militia, both necessities given the clashing between Adelan lords, who will often lay siege to a rival's cities if the conflict becomes especially extreme. Trade flow from Essyrn has created a wealthy merchant elite in Adelan cities. Adela's usually strict gender roles relax in the cities, especially for women, due to a greater influence of outside ideas.

- The Grand Duke rules similarly to a King, though that is mostly in name. The Dukes handle affairs in their own provinces for the most part, leaving the Grand Duke mostly a figurehead outside his own province. He is not without any sway however. He keeps the fights between the Dukes from getting out of hand and his good favor is sought after by most Dukes. If and when Connlaoth goes to war against an outside force, the armies are led and controlled by the Grand Duke. He also is the head of the Mordecai, the most powerful of Connlaoth's legions.

- A regent acts as an adjunct to the Grand Duke. When the Grand Duke is away or incapacitated, it is the regent who acts in his stead. Regents typically do not have a standing claim to the throne in the event of a succession.
Dukes- Dukes are the house rulers of the multiple duchies throughout Connlaoth. They have supreme ruling over the entire Duchy, but collaborate with the Grand Duke during times of war and other political reasons.

Princes and Princesses of the Blood
- Currently Not Open For Play
- The title of Prince or Princess of the Blood is held by the children of the King and Queen. Should the sovereign die with no children, their eldest sibling assumes the throne. Prince/Princess of the Realm is a stylization held by any of the Great Lords or Ladies who have a standing blood claim to the throne through a past relation. The more recent the relation, the stronger their claim in the event of a succession vote. A relation older than five generations is not recognized.
High Lords and High Ladies- The highest rank of nobility, a High Lord or Lady rules over one of Serendipity's twelve provinces as the head of a Great House. They swear fealty directly to the throne and in turn receive fealty from all nobility who live within their province. Stylings include High Lord/Lady, Lord/Lady.
