Physical Description
Red is a young girl who is physically in her mid adolescence. She stands at just above 5'4" with a lithe frame and slender limbs. Her hair is rather long and shaggy despite the customs of her people and is dark brown in color, matching her eyes. Upon Red's face are bright white markings just above her eyelids and over her eyebrows, though admittedly they are a bit faded.

Red wears an outfit like that of the rest of her kin, with tight chest wrappings across her torso accompanied by a long shirt and leather vest, adorned with bright green and yellow markings that snake along the edges. Though much of her clothing is currently worn and tattered, indicating some time since it was maintained.

Personality
Red was a cheerful and rather optimistic girl before she got her name. With tragedy striking so recently much of her spirit has been dampened, though the girl still tries to maintain her positive outlook in an effort to distract herself. She cares deeply for the forests and fields of her home, linking her to a strong bond with nature. For this reason Red can become somewhat uncomfortable in large towns or cities, as she is not used to being around so many people at once. Despite this, Red still has an immense curiosity for many things she doesn't quite understand, and this inquisitive nature often drives her to seek out answers despite her better judgment.

Growing up isolated within her community, Red has little knowledge of the world beyond her forest and plains. Yet the young woman still bears a strong desire to learn as much as she can, if only because it will help her better understand those who live separately from nature. While still weary of those she hasn't met, the girl still maintains a hopeful if naive desire to greet and form some kind of bond to the strangers that cross her path. A combination of inexperience and youth often has her gravitating towards this reaction, hoping to garner some sort of knowledge or experience during these interactions despite the inherent dangers.

Beneath her hopeful and kind exterior however, Red suffers from severe loneliness and anxiety. She has never been on her own for so long, and with everyone she knew either dead or missing the girl often struggles in her day to day with depression and uncertainty. Despite that though, her desire to see those she cares about again keeps her moving forwards with enough determination to make it through the days, not to mention the immense responsibility she now feels being the only caretaker left of her village's dragon egg.

Magic/Abilities
Red doesn't have any magical power that she knows of, though growing up in the deep wilderness has taught the girl very good survival skills. She can remain self-sufficient for quite some time out in the wilds and is fairly crafty with a bow, often relying on it for her next meal. She can climb fairly well and has more strength in her arms than one would expect from one so young. The girl is also quite perceptive, used to memorizing every detail of her environment in order to survive. This skill has translated into social situations as well, Red often watching for subtle hints in the body language and movement of others to discern their feelings.

Relationships
Dragon Egg: While this relationship is currently only one sided, Red has devoted her life to protecting the last egg of her village, at least until it hatches. Like many Adelans Red has a deep reverence and respect for dragon kind and will go to great lengths to defend this egg, even if it means endangering herself.

History
Red grew up far from the cradle of civilization, raised deep in the wilds within a small community of Sedvlin known as Ravenfel. It was here the girl was taught the customs and culture of her people while mostly ignoring the world beyond. Yet despite this isolation Red had never felt the need to leave her people and explore other lands, as she had always been content and safe within the small band of Sedvli that provided for her. Taught how to track and hunt from a young age, Red became quite attuned to the nature around her, spending most of her days venturing through the woodlands or the plains to the west, learning all she could about her environment and the land that shaped it.

Ravenfel was not a large village, though it was somewhat unique in their tradition to not only ally with dragons but help hatch and raise their young as well. In a time long before Red existed the ancestors of her clan had made a pact with a great drake after enlisting its help to defend their territory. Since then the Sedvli of Ravenfel have been close with the dragon's descendants, a few in her clan even rising to the status of dragon riders. As a result it soon became an expected tradition that after receiving one's name they were now fit to care for one of the village's eggs. Red was expected to receive this honour as well, though it did not play out the way the girl had expected.

Venturing into the deep woods the girl faced the same deity that her people had so revered. Though when her vision came it only made her veins run cold. The girl found herself wading in an endless river of blood, moving towards the shadow of a wolf. Despite her fear and hesitation she pushed onwards, hoping to discover the meaning behind her nightmare. Though as hard as she tried she could not make any headway towards the shadow, and with every second the red river rose. The shadow of the wolf only looked on as the blood seemingly drowned her, as if taunting the girl with its very presence. And when she finally came back to reality, her world had changed forever.

Despite being deeply disturbed by this vision the girl kept the traditions of her culture and gave herself the name Red River into Shadow. It was not something that brought the pride she had hoped, but a sickening feeling in her stomach as though her very identity was now a bad omen. Red did not need to wait long to confirm this feeling.

After returning to Ravenfel filled with shame, Red prepared to tell her people what had happened though much to her surprise the village was no longer there. In its stead were burning lodges and huts, the bodies of her friends, and the smell of blood and death. At some point during her absence Ravenfel had been razed by people unknown, leaving nothing behind except cinders. Overwhelmed with emotion the young girl began to tirelessly dig through the rubble, hoping to find any survivors. In the midst of the destruction however the young Sedvlin came across a curious site: A dragon egg. It appeared as though whoever raided her home had also made off with most of the village's draconic eggs, yet evidently they had missed one. In that moment a newfound sense of purpose filled the girl and she rescued the object from the burning lodge, barely escaping with it before the entire building collapsed in on itself and filled the air with smoke.

Spending the next day burying the dead Red came to a decision: She needed to find the people that did this to her home, and save the remaining eggs. She felt no bloodlust or anger, only overwhelming sadness. Yet even still she held onto hope, as she had yet to find many of her tribesman among the bodies. Convinced that they were taken alive by these unknown raiders Red River stuffed the remaining egg in her back back and set off into the wilderness, attempting to use her skills to find her people and hopefully bring them home.
