"We are glad to be of service, aren't we girls?" Looking down Zurna watched in amusement as Aliyah cowered further within the cloak and Cara decided to be bolder. Extroverted Cara walked right up to the man placing herself literally nose-to-nose with him. "Your eyes are really green," she stated before taking off skipping around the trio.

"What is the best way to be of help? Should we tell you who has been born and died within the past year? Or is there more to it than that?" Zurna asked feeling calmer around Brynmor than before. 'He's still a crazy old man, but at least he's harmless. I hope.'

'What a very strange man.' Zurna thought as she watched Brynmor wander off and return again. "What kinds of things are looking at to be the same and different? Perhaps we could help you. I mean I have lived here my whole life. I might be of more assistance to you. If anything I could prevent further episodes like that of my sister-in-law from occurring. Some people do not take too kindly to strangers poking around their business you see. You are kind of precieved as suspicious. Not of course, that I am saying that you are suspicious or that we should be suspicious of you. Or at least I don't know if we should be since we just met but-"

"Aunt Sir you're doing it again! You're hambling!"
Zurna paused looking down at Cara before giggling. "Rambling Cara, and thank you.

"We would be honored to assist you if you will have us Brynmor."

'Ego, ego ego! How he can stand with that thing on his head is a mircale. A Neqa'el? That is something to keep in mind when facing his sister. Hmm, even the inane questions have merit.'

She tensed slightly as he grabbed her neck. For a brief moment her heart skipped a beat in fear. A childhood memory of being grabbed by the scruff of her neck surfaced before she quelled it again. This kiss was more forceful and something she was more accustomed to. It saddened her a little that were progressing away from the unexpected. 'Oh well, the sooner this is over with the sooner I can kill the monster and leave.'

"Attractive?" she repeated. "No, I do not find you attractive," answered leaning in until her breath ghosted against his ear shell. "I find you alluring, captivating, enchanting, mesmerizing, and so much more," she whispered. Then playfully she nipped his earlobe before tantalizingly pulling away. Still by his ear she whispered her question. "What is your favorite thing about me?"

"Balance? I'm afraid I don't understand. What do you mean?" She asked tilting her head to the side like a puppy. Zurna's fingers absentmindedly caressed Cara's head, playing with her dark brown hair. The other twin, Aliyah, moved closer to her aunt, tugging on her cloak. Indulging the shy child, Zurna knelt down to hear what the sweet girl wanted.

"Aunt Z, who is that man? Why does he act all funny?" the girl whispered loudly, closely watching the elder gentleman.
"I don't know Ali, why don't you introduce yourself and find out," she encouraged.

Cautiously the little girl left the safety of her aunt's arms and stepped in front of the man. "I'm Aliyah and that's my sister Cara and my daddy's sister, Sir. Who are you?" Having completed her mission the girl quickly ran back hiding underneath Zurna's cloak. "Scaredy deer!" Cara yelled at her sister.
"Girls!" Zurna barked. "Enough, you are being rude. Cara apologize to your sister." Turning her attention finally back to the stranger, she also apologized for her family's rudeness. "I'm Zurna by the way."

Tiraris relished in the gentleness of the kiss. No one had ever done that before. If she ever had intimate exchanges such as these, which were few, they had only been harsh kisses and the occasional groping before the other half ended up dead. 'If only he was not so obnoxious. I could get used to this,' she mused.

"Tiraris. My name is Tiraris. It means song-weaver," she added being nice. She moved a bit closer to him and raised her hands to his head. She let her nails gently rake through his silken hair and across his scalp before ending with tracing his ears as she pulled her hands away. She remained huddled closer to him. "I know your name from the girls in town. They all talk about you. But they never seem to agree on what you are. Besides being a god," at this she giggled, "what manner of man or beast are you, my beautiful warrior?"

'Fell for it like beggars before a feast. Play the cards slowly and carefully and he will literally eat out of your hand.'

"My surname is Silverd'art," she said flicking her tongue teasingly out at him. "Perhaps your next question you will be more specific. Hmm, what to do, what to do? Now that I have you all to myself, I do not know where to start. Such a problem," she cooed looking up at him with doe eyes.

Slowly she reached for one of his hands and nuzzled it against her face lovingly. Her eyes were closed and her lips held a soft smile as she brushed it back and forth across her cheek before letting it go just as slowly as she had retrieved it.

Head down and eyes still closed she softly asked him, "Do you find me pretty?"

Tiraris stood in front of the mirror in the darkened room. As he entered she allowed her cloak to slide down her bare shoulders, revealing little by little her thin revealing dress. 'Darling? I am no one's darling.' He annoyed her so much she wanted to spit in his eye before tearing them out with her fingernails. 'Hmm, admittedly a bit too violent. Maybe after I kill his sister.'

"Where is the fun in telling, when the anticipation is so much sweeter? As for the fuss, is it so wrong to fawn all over the body of a demi-god? To want you all to myself, away from prying eyes?" Pouting she looked down like a guilty child. "The beer was an accident. If I had wanted to throw it at you, you would be wearing it."

Interlacing their fingers together she led him over to the pile of pillows and throws on the floor. "How about we play a game. An answer for an action. Ask a question and the other must answer truthfully in order to preform any one action to the asker. Whether it be a kiss," she kissed him quickly, nibbling lightly on his lower lip, "or a caress," here she ran her hand across his shoulder and back down the arm, "or something more. But, only one action at a time. No," she smiled coyly, "getting ahead of ourselves. Adds to the suspense and fun. I will even be generous, to show I really am sorry for the beer. You can ask the first question."

'Sure you did sweetheart. Honestly, men and their obnoxiously large egos! Carefully she extracted her hair from his grasp before pulling away. "Of course I want more than a kiss," she purred blatantly eying him up and down. "What girl in her right mind, would not? As for the knife, why not come search for it yourself? It is more fun for both of us that way." She sent him a wicked smile as she backed away from him slowly before disappearing inside a doorway.

Inside, Tiraris made quick work of throwing money on the counter and buying a key to a private room. Looking back over her shoulder, she examined the room for real threats before heading up the creaky stairs. 'This better worth it. I cannot stand another second of his ego otherwise.' It was the recollection that this was her target's brother, that motivated her to continue. 'Get him to talk and all the doors shall open.'

"A pleasure to meet you Kaven. I guess you could say I live around here. My people are for the most part nomads. We travel with the tides and the food. For today I live here. Tomorrow is uncertain, as are all things in life. Don't you agree? As for Hyoite and the tundra, well, this is about it. We have our trappers, our hunters, our fisherman, our traders, and our sheppards. But, other than that we have snow. Lots and lots of snow."

Up ahead Zurna saw the smoke rising from her family tents. "One more snowbank and we're home. Although, I best warn you, we're a rather large family." Coming around the snowbank she added for shock-value,"when I say large I mean that I have twenty-five older brothers."

Before her was the beautiful sight of home. It never ceased to amaze her how much the feeling of being home thrilled her. To outsiders it was just a bunch of primitive tents crowded together with a bunch of nobodies living within. But, to Zurna it could not be anymore perfect, it was her family and her life. "Welcome to my home!"

"Good night," she called softly back.

[center:27rgth9v]~~~~~~~~~[/center:27rgth9v]

She woke early the next morning feeling sore but alive. Gingerly she rose from the bed and began a series of stretches trying to bring fresh blood to her limbs. It was going quite well until she tried to stretch her torso. Then, fire seemed to blaze within her and her vision blurred. Tears formed in her eyes as sweat formed on her brow. She collapsed where she had stood panting, trying to regain stolen breath. She tried to stand twice more but felt the nausea and dizziness return again. "Well that was very silly," she giggled out from her position on the floor.

"Actually I was talking to the horse. But, I think we can find room for you too," she teased winking playfully at him. "Of course I'll lead you. It would be very rude of me to send you to the wolves as it were. You see if I let you wander your way over to my family, they would never let you go." Leaning in conspiratorially she whispered. "but if you come with me I'll keep you safe from the overly motherly women.

"Come. It's not far this way now. You'll be warm in not time! I'm Zurna by the way. Zurna Nali," she greeted beginning the trek back home.

'Decent indeed,' she scoffed before grabbing him and throwing him against the alley wall. She pressed her body flush up against his, her hands firmly encircling his throat. Then smiling she leaned in and kissed him. Her hands caressed his face like a lover, before entangling within his silken locks.

Pulling away she smiled at him coyly. "How else was I supposed to get us away from all those jealous old fools?" Looking down demurely she continued, "I am sorry if I upset you pet." Then looking up through thick lashes, her red hair fanning out about her in the wind, she leaned up towards him. "Can you find it within yourself to forgive me?" The pads of fingers gently caressed his chest through his shirt as her other hand continued to play with his hair. "You really are quite a catch," she whispered to him softly.

Zurna watched the man and his pony and felt pity for them. They looked cold, miserable, and unprepared for the the deceptively cold summer. 'Just how many people come up here and believe it will be warm? I just don't understand it.' She giggled softly when she heard the man rebuked the horse about its fur coat. 'Poor things. They could use a good fire and a belly full of food.' Having decided that she began to carefully approach the pair. Summer made the ground more treacherous. You never knew whether the ice would hold you or if you were actually standing on land or or just a snowbank.

The man's last statement to the horse, seemed as good a time as any to jump into the conversation. "Well, I don't know about the horse. But, I would reckon your best course of action would be to head west just past those snowbanks where you will find a grouping of tents with welcoming people, warm fires, and good food. In fact, if you're nice I'll even take you there myself," she said announcing her presence to his left with a smile on her lips and in her eyes.

She had to fight the urge to laugh at how easily her prey was falling for her tricks. 'And mother said I never would have made a good actress!' Quickly she raced out of the filthy place and out into the empty streets. She weaved in and out of alleys and streets keeping a watchful eye to ensure he was still following. When he lost her she would place herself back within his sight line only to continue the chase. She was waiting, waiting for the opportune moment, the moment when he was so frustrated with her he could tear her pieces. Then, and only then would she present herself to him, and let the games truly begin.

Tiraris was taken aback by the introductions. Anyone who wanted her for the job addressed her by Silverd'art or assassin. It had been a long time since she had ever needed to say her name. She wondered briefly if sharing her name was a good idea. 'Mark my words, I am going to pay for this later.'

"My name is Tiraris. I think you understand why that is the only name I can give you. It is a pleasure Windsor Wright. You have been very kind to me." She began to rub her eyes tiredly. "It must be late. You probably need your rest. We can talk more in the morn. I promise, I will not try to flee this time."

To prove her point Tiraris carefully began to settle back under the covers with some difficulty. She could not wait for the day to come anew so that at last she could stretch her limbs. She could already feel the pain that would come from trying to stretch and exercise herself back into her former condition. But, until then she would be a good little patient and do as the healer says, for now.

Zurna heard the booming voice and smiled. "I don't know," she called back. "That depends on whether or not you're the caravan trader who always comes around this time of year." The twins giggled at their aunt's antics.

"Aunt Z, hurry up! All the good stuff will be taken if you keep up this pace."
"Yeah, Aunt Sir, you move slower than a snow crab stuck in the ice," piped in the other twin, Cara.
"Alright, alright you two I'm coming," she laughed spying the caravan up ahead.
"Good day to you!" She called to Sasha, "Got anything good to interest these two little monsters?"

The twins giggled as Zurna chased them about, tickling them as she caught them.

'Like a fly to honey,' she inwardly smirked as the cat demon sauntered over into her vicinity. 'Seems I have your attention, now to get what I want.'

"I might have been talking about you. Although," she sighed looking disappointed, "You are not what I expected." Rolling her eyes she huffed, "I do not know why I bothered coming here. Everyone was right. There really are no good men in this dump. What a waste of my precious time. Good day to you," she looked him over in disgust, "sir."

'Bait is set, now let the trap spring.' She rose quickly from her seat, the full tankard still sitting on the table which she took care to accidentally bump and spill on him on her tearful way out.

She looked at him in surprise. "Thank you," she said completely meaning it. "You do not have to protect me. I am well aware of my crime and the punishment befitting it. Would it not be better for your family if you turned me in? I will not deprive an innocent man of his home and livelihood for my sake. If you chose to do so, I would not fight you, not after you saved me and have kept me alive. I owe you that much and more."

Tiraris looked down at her hands once more. Her palms were no longer the soft pillows of flesh that befitted a nobleman's daughter. Now they were covered in calluses from holding the sword and the bow in more than just sport. "If you can find it within yourself to forgive me, how can I repay you for your kindness? I have not been very grateful to you of late and I wish to remedy that."

Tiraris sat in the corner listening to the rumors flowing around the bar about her target, Remina, as well as herself. Although she got a laugh out of how they all assumed the assassin was a man. 'All the better for me. Fools!'

Catching the bartender's eye she raised her empty mug as a beckon for more. Smiling he finally toddled over to her with the ale jug. "What's a fair lass such as yeself doin' out in these parts," he growled lustily to her.

"I am looking for a man, a very handsome man," she added playing up the flattery. "I heard that he frequents your fine establishment. Tall, muscled, dreamy purple eyes," she faked a swoon and batted her eyelashes. "Do you know what I mean?"
