Physical Description

Art by Manuel Castañón

Aubrey has messy, waist-length light brown hair. Aubrey's eyes are wide and light gray, and capped by long, thin eyebrows. She has overall soft features, an aquiline nose, and full lips. Deceptively small and thin at first glance, her superficially soft features hide hardened muscle underneath.

Aubrey dresses for function, not form; she wears a hooded brown cloak over a loose white tunic, a brown belt, and brown pants. Pointed black shoes complete her outfit. The only luxury she permits herself is the pair of studded silver earrings she wears.

Personality

TBD.

Magic/Abilities

Aubrey is an extremely powerful mage, considered a once-in-a-generation prodigy by her peers. Although not adept enough with politics to rise in magical society, she cares little for status - as long as she can use her powers to protect others from demons, she's fine with whatever rank they give her.

Aubrey's most commonly-used ability is her capability to reinforce both her body and her clothing with magic. She can harden her skin or the cloth she's wearing to have the hardness of steel, and can magically boost her strength, speed, reaction time, healing factor, and stamina by running mana through her body.

Aubrey's other "main" ability is to conjure bladed weapons of various shapes and sizes, such as swords and daggers. She can either wield these weapons or shoot them out at high speeds. Being among the first few spells she's learned, she uses both this and her reinforcement ability as her bread-and-butter when in combat.

Aubrey is adept at conjuring and manipulating all four classical elements; earth, water (including ice), air, and fire. She can use these for offensive purposes, to augment her blades, or as a support ability.

Aubrey is also an expert at bladed weapons and athletics, thanks to the training Ricard Hargon provided her. She has extensive knowledge of summoning rituals, but refuses to use her knowledge on principle.

Relationships

Ricard Hargon - Father (Adoptive)

History

Aubrey was born to a working-class family in a far-off village somewhere in Serendipity. When Aubrey was too young to remember, her parents died in a mine shaft accident. After that incident, she was taken in by her aunt. Her aunt doted on her, and she was raised knowing full well of the tragedy that marked her early years. Little did anyone know that she had immense magical potential from birth.

When she was old enough, the ghost of her father visited her in her dreams. He told her that there was a way to bring him and her mother back, but it would take an immense amount of practice on her part. Aubrey's father tutored her in the arts of magic, paying special attention to the art of summoning.

Then the day came when she was powerful and knowledgeable enough to resurrect her father. Overjoyed, she rushed to complete the ritual, expecting to summon her father - and ended up summoning the demon that had been masquerading as her father's ghost that whole time. He went on to kill her aunt in front of her, and run rampant across the mining town.

That was when a Knight of the Moon intervened. Three days later, Ricard Hargon stormed into the town and slew the demon. During his subsequent investigation, he determined that Aubrey had been the demon's summoner; instead of persecuting her, he adopted her, covering up the incident with his considerable amount of influence. Besides, who would believe that a little girl was strong enough to summon a demon anyway?

Seeing that she had nowhere to go and knowledgeable of her prowess, Ricard Hargon adopted Aubrey. Aubrey spent the next few years under Ricard's tutelage, receiving his knowledge and financial resources. Eventually she grew to a level where he could teach her no more, and so he sent her to one of Serendipity's premier academies.

While in university, she met a man named Antilles. They fell in love, each one attracted to the other's intelligence. However, they ended up breaking up, Aubrey telling him that she'd found another; in reality, it was because Aubrey didn't believe that she deserved to be happy. A few years later, she learned that he had been enlisted in the Order of the Moon, and had died while on a mission.

Aubrey graduated from college, and went on to become the youngest ever Knight of the Moon.
