[center:2nqfg9g7]The air smelled heavily of fish. Dead fish. It got into anything and everything and there wasn't a thing anyone could do about it. "If I wanted to smell like a few thousand dead fish, I would have been born of C'Fuy blood" the rather tall, elf looking humanoid muttered to himself. It was one of those days that he was running low on the glowing mushrooms he loved so dearly. And when that happened, he was a sadistic sour puss with an attitude towards everything. A scarred hand absently reached into the ever present pouch that was tied to his belt, pulling out a sliver of glowing fungus. The plant was placed into his mouth, the trail of it sliding to his digestive system traced by the glow as it slowly dimmed in the humid organ of his stomach. The pouch was once again closed before anything nasty got into it.

His nose wrinkled as his green and gold eyes caught site of a rather large fish being gutted on the street. Not only did it smell, but the sight was sickening. Did people here not know anything about being civil? A shake of the head and he moved on, the deer hide vest about his shoulders pulled closer by a hand. Fish just weren't his plate of food.

Diamond eyes looked around once again, looking for the reason why he was here. Why was he here in first place? So that he may find another of his species that might be carrying the highly prized drug that he was currently on. However, there were no signs of any other extremely pale, tall and muscular humanoids around. At least, not of his species anyway. His thoughts were broken by the feeling of his bare foot stepping on something slimy and soft. Looking down, he almost gagged at the sight of his foot in a pile of fish guts. Lifting it like it were a delicate object, the Nemoen stared in horror at the little bits of intestine and gut that clung to his foot.[/center:2nqfg9g7]

How disgusting it was. She absolutely hated crowds; especially when they smelled so bad. This was not the first time the crew had stopped at this place, but the same thing happened every single time they stopped here. Of course Gatenbaine was normally placed in charge of dealing with Cerenis and its usual crowded area, the captain however, had felt the need to get off the ship for a while and walk on solid ground for a change. Needless to say she was starting to regret that idea.

The crowd was bad enough, but the stares she was getting were only making the matters worse. Stupid men. Maria was sure it wasn't the weapons strapped to her hips that they were staring at. Not when her silky, see-through pants were right next to them, giving anybody who cared to look a free show more or less. At least it would be, if not for the very short shorts the girl was wearing underneath; those of which were probably no longer than the underwear she wore. Naturally, the woman hated said clothing, but it had been woven with her own scales along with some magic to allow it to appear and disappear at will in the rare occasions that their owner decided to shift forms.

They were lucky she was outnumbered in a place like this, otherwise they would have been most painfully and horribly tortured.

Swift and nimble, the vixen glided around people and objects as if dancing; her loosely worn hair flowing along behind her, while long bangs pranced about her face whilst she moved. Something however, caught her attention, bringing Maria to a complete stop. Her sudden lack of movement causing the person behind her to bump into her, only to be pushed away followed by some colorful vocabulary. The object that had caught the woman's attention? A wall, or more precisely the "Wanted" posters pinned to said wall. One in particular, that turned her irritated expression into suppressed laughter. Nonetheless, suppressing her emotion became increasingly difficult the more she read:

Insane Demon Lombardi
The woman is armed and very dangerous...

The picture was what really got to her. Obviously, whoever had gotten the description was way off as the drawing looked nothing like the person it was supposed to represent. Instead it appeared as some kind of horrid sea creature of sorts. It really made her day to know that her torturing really left people that messed up in the head. The thought alone causen the woman to burst out in laughter.

[center:k389l282]"By the love of X'Narepo..." he muttered, shaking his foot to rid himself of the fishy organs. "Now I'm going to smell like bait for the rest of the week" he cursed, flicking the last bit of gut off his toe. Littering in the street ought to be a crime. Especially when it involved the intestines of aquatic life. Again, his hand moved to the bag that held his drugs, taking out yet another sliver of the fungus, putting it into his mouth and watching the trail of light dim through his skin. The effect was numbing, the sensations of the gooey fish insides dying away.

Just as he thought he was free of the offending waste, someone was pushed into him, sending his shoulder flying into the wall of the building that the waste had come from. An 'oomph' left his throat as the shock winded him. "What in the name of..." he said, being cut off by by the sound of maniacal laughter. His head turned, green and gold surveying a woman with rather revealing clothing not 5 feet away from himself. He snorted in disgust. No civility here at all. What did she find so amusing?[/center:k389l282]

Picking up sensations from the stares of those near by, a malicious glint flashed in the woman's eyes as the laughter came to a sudden halt. With her moment of amusement quickly turning into anger, Maria flashed a glare to those immediately surrounding her; the gaze from her dark optics landing on a pale man who seemed to think himself better than her. Yes, his expression definately gave such simple thought away. He was, after all, looking at the pirate like she was some kind of animal. She would have none of that.

"The hell you lookin' at?" Despite her laughter, the girl was already in a bad mood; her sharp growl revealing a threatening aura.

Catching this young woman's attention was certainly not something to be proud of; especially if you happened to be a man and she happened to be angry. Both were criteria that were currently met. The stranger would have to proceed carefully now, or he would certainly regret it for the rest of his life.

"Stupid elf." The whisper came almost naturally at the sight of the man, his smooth, pale skin definately leading to that speculation. Her eyes were now locked on the stranger; furious intent burning within them, waiting to, quite literally, rip into this guy. He had better hoped his tongue was as smooth as his skin if he was gonna leave untouched.

[center:3bdwih4n]He sneered, not liking how she seemed to think that such words would intimidate him. One, she looked a bit too small to best him in a fight and two, he highly doubted that she could hurt him. He pushed himself off of the wall, glaring back with intense 'dislike'. His ears moved up and back as the muscles around them and his jaw tightened.

"A common street whore by the looks of things" he retorted. There would be no honor in looking to such an.... uncilivized, scrawny looking woman who thought she could use the weapons that hung about her hips. This world was strange, but that was just rediculess. Dragomir wondered why he ever left the uncharted lands in the first place. This place was no better, if not worse.

"Elf?" he asked, eye twitching in irritation. His nostrils flared out as he gave an audible snort. "So you're stupid as well" he muttered, almost to himself. Making a shooing gesture with his hand, the tall, elf-like man shook his head. "You're not worth my time" he said blandly, turning and skirting around the fish organs. He had to find another Nemoen and barter for Spirit Sight before he ran out.[/center:3bdwih4n]
