He wasn't surprised that she didn't want to him. She was weak and timid after all. She was just a big fraud waiting to be lynched. He honestly would love to see that, but she was still paranoid and careful. She would definitely be even more after all this was over. It was very possible that he had just ruined her in some way, but that was of little consequence. It just meant it was going to be all the more fun when the gun wielding hero arrived eventually.
This whole thing was out of character usually for a man named Vec Lanrete. People who had known him in this world before would be shocked and admonished to find out this was what he was like now. he on the other hand, didn't really care. He was supposed to be a nice person, but now he was so much different from that.
A part of him felt guilty...
Another part didn't.
"I'm going to leave, don't you worry little darling." A gold coin was left on the table and Vec stood up, stretching his arms out and looking down to her. Interesting interesting wasn't it? "Oh, some little...thing for you to take to heart Iris. Vortex is coming for you. Doesn't know why, doesn't actually know, but Vortex is coming. If Vortex does get here..." Vec started toward the door and stopped, putting a hand on the door frame. "Never mind. Have fun child, and remember, your instincts are better than think...keep trusting them. I was just...an anomaly." With that being said he left the house, another gold coin in his hand. He began to flip it ceremoniously, wondering just how much trouble he'd be in for this.
