She glanced down at her tail as the tingling started; she'd only done this a few times before, and it always felt odd. Her scales loosened, shimmered, then sluiced away as salt water, revealing the pale flesh of legs beneath.
She stood, swaying slightly as she adjusted to the new center of gravity, then stepped toward to take Nik'd hand again.
