Glass shards glittered all around him, the wind, rushing through his dark hair as Clayton "Jack-in-the-Box" Willison found himself suddenly outside the Duke's Residence, instead of in. Though being punched through the window after rousing the anger of one of the tallest knights in all of Connlaoth (the dude was almost 7 friggin' feet tall!) Jack was well... Jack. He had a way with words, and not in a good way. And though he wasn't much of a liar, the truth that came out of his mouth was stuff left better unsaid. Especially when it was about Sir Wallace's wife. But hey, could he help it she had been flirting with him? He didn't even like the old cow, but she kept on finding him no matter where he went! Even as he accompanied his lordship to his Uthlyn retreat, he was hoping for a reprieve. But nope, there was that tactless, gawdy broad waddling through the halls. Her hair was too tall, her dress, too tight on top, too big on the bottom, and everytime he saw her enter- he always swore and made an exit, stage left (no matter what the situation was).

He got a lot of finger waggings for him 'ducking out in the middle of his lordship's men giving him orders. But who was he to care about orders? Had he not any connections, he wouldn't even be here- and though he should be thankful for the job- he was anything but. It felt like damn shackles were glued to his hands, and the armor he had to wear? Ridiculous! He was sweating like crazy beneath the iron and he felt as if it were giving him a rash (little did he know, it was doing just that!

He supposed, as he found himself now falling, head towards the ground and body curled from the punch, that maybe- just maybe, he should have kept his damn mouth shut. Sir Wallace had a mean right hook, and were Jack not a street fighter as his 'real' career, he'd be worried on the bloodied nose and bruise he'd be sporting after this. Though perhaps he should be more concerned with the fact he was free falling. Then again, it seemed not a lot got to Jack.

Not even the fact he was a mage.
Though despite the symbols of Angsar all over his armor, he hid his power well. But not today. Today it was 'OH MY GOD, USE YOUR FRIGGIN' POWERS OR DIE'.
So he did.

And as the man kept falling, falling, falling towards the ground, he held onto his breath, cursed out the breath, and threw his hands forward and built a pillow of snow with his magic, which he promptly landed in, being buried completely within (you know, except for the man shaped hole, which his landing int he snow, had created). And wouldn't you know, it happened to be Summer Time in Connlaoth.

"Shit."
CHECK OUT MY LATEST SITE EVENT!
The Never King- a king erased from history because of his dabblings in dark magic (among other things...) suddenly because a present day problem when an unlikely group of adventurers 'awakens' him from the grave. You can read more about the event on the plotting page here and information page here!

I ran the Connlaothian civil war. For more info, check out it's page here. The war has now turned into a 'Cold War' with it's plotting page found here. It's no longer a huge site wide event but the scars are there.
