Physical Description

A tiny, red-headed, adorable, wholesome serotonin bean. Goblinda wears her hair in two pigtails behind her, and typically wears a steel helmet (with cutout designs for her long, pointy ears) over said hair. Her pigtails reach about butt-length, and are very well-maintained. Goblinda's skin is a sharp green color, and her face has the fullness of a child, which causes confusion regarding her actual age (her childish antics often don't help either). She has an obviously small physique, both from her gender and her species, but is also a bit of a genetic freak of nature all the same; Exploiting her kin's unique physiology through constantly escalated exercises and trials to become as strong as—  if not stronger than—  most seasoned human warriors. Quite fast, too. Because of this, while she often wears a set of goblin-sized heavy armor, underneath it she has a very tomboyish physique; highly defined muscle, and abs you could wash laundry on.

Personality

Lin is a goblin of dualities. She's a precious, adorable, kindhearted, brave and honest little lady who treats everyone with kindness and respect, so much so that she's gone out of her way to pick rare flowers for a young girl who was having a bad day in the middle of one of her many adventures, free of charge. She also has killed more people, creatures and construct-like beings than most folk will ever meet in their lives. She likes friends, and soft pillows, and fragrant-smelling things, and pretty dresses, and yet also occassionally enjoys the feeling of rending flesh from the bones of her enemies, obliterating defences of strongholds with her sheer might and ingenuity, and laughing in the face of chaos and destruction. She lives most of her life for the approval of others (she is very, very pleased by being praised and getting headpats), and goes out of her way to be of help to others, be it by showing them some small kindness of a sort, or by slaying their enemies after valiantly crying out their demise in said person's name/honor.

Magic/Abilities

Lin is a goblin blessed by Wrazzgar, the lesser goblin god of 'Trial by Combat'. While this does not inherently grant her any unique powers or abilities on it's own, Wrazzgar rewards his children who prove themselves through strength, skill or endurance against their enemies by awarding them a "Kaaltzag", or 'Proof of Labor'. These Kaaltzags are unique to one who earns them, and also unique to the trial, or 'labor' that the goblin achieves, and can grant great strength or unique abilities onto the one who completes a trial that earns Wrazzgar's favor. Your average goblin isn't too much trouble, but a goblin who survives a trial that Wrazzgar deems worthy enough to grant a Kaaltzag onto would be considered quite formidable... and Linda of the SEVEN LABORS, well... her Proofs of Labor are as follows:

"Labor of the 30 Goblins" - When Goblinda was young—  younger even than she was now—  her kin attacked and captured a merchant's young daughter, bringing her to their cave. The merchant's daughter befriended Goblinda despite the difference in their species, and when the goblin who captured her returned to prey upon her, Lin jumped to her defence. What ensued was a shockingly gorey, deadly and life-changing battle for the young girl's life, with Lin nearly losing her own life several times before ultimately coming out on top as the victor, claiming the lives of her 29 brethren. She and the merchant's daughter made their escape from the goblin den, and the Goblinda lived happily with the merchant's daughter for a time, before the village she came from found her and took her back home. For her great trial by combat, Wrazzgar granted Goblinda a Proof of Labor, granting her immense physical strength and endurance— the 'strength of 30 goblins', if not moreso.

"Labor of the Silver Lake" - Goblinda's travels brought her to a beautiful, untouched lake which shimmered like the finest silvers and golds. Out of respect for its beauty, she sat and meditated at the lake for an entire day, keeping enough distance to avoid spoiling it with her carnage-soaked body. A young maiden who claimed to be a caretaker of the lake came and sat with her, both to give her gratitude to Lin for not defiling the lake, as well as to tell her of it's glories; It was said that any who were pure of heart could enter the lake and have all of their wounds and illnesses cured as they washed themselves in it's waters. Some time later, while resting near the lake, Goblinda came across some brigands who had come to the lake in an attempt to steal its waters and sell them, or perhaps to bathe in its lakes. She confronted them, which led to a slaughter—  one which Lin was careful to avoid having the bloodshed spill into the lake. The maiden, when she learned of this, thanked Goblinda for her bravery and respectfulness, and Wrazzgar granted her another proof of labor—  that her own wounds and illnesses be cured if she were to take a bath in any waters, not just those of the silver lake.

"Labor of the White Chimera" - Goblinda once encountered a small village of fae to the west of the continent where many had been placed under a stone curse. She learned that the creature responsible was an ancient chimera capable of petrifying all who stared into it's eyes, and that every 7 days it returned to the village to attack the peaceful people. And so she came up with a plan; She wore her helmet backwards, obscuring her vision, and waited in the center of the village for the beast. When it at last returned, she engaged it in tireless combat by wrestling it to the ground for 3 days and 3 nights with the fae folk guiding her movements while she kept the beast's attentions on her, until at last the beast grew deathly tired from the exertions and she was able to land a killing blow on the chimera. The fae celebrated her heroic feat, and Wrazzgar granted her a proof of labor, making her immune to poisons, petrifactions and curses.

"Labor of the Grand Champion, the Armor of Goblinda" - Goblinda once competed in a tournament between 9 other contestants, wherein each were placed into a section of an arena, and faced off against several beasts. Due to her stature, no normal armor would suit her—  so she was outfitted with very weak, bronze-forged equipment meant for a child, while her 'opponents' were equipped with fine weapons and armor for the event. Their trial was to each survive against a giant, magicked lion. Goblinda was able to wrestle her own into submission before slaying it, but heard a cry of help from one of the other contestants. Valiantly, she rushed to their section of the colosseum, where they had suffered a terrible blow from their beast and were poised to be killed by it. As the tale goes, Goblinda arrived with just enough time to leap in between the man and the beast, and threw herself into the jaws of the lion, preventing it from biting down on the man's body, before slaying it as well. Contestants were awed by her bravery and 'peerless defense', and Goblinda earned the title of "Grand Champion of Adela" and Wrazzgar bequeathed another proof of labor onto her—  replacing her petty bronze armor with a suit of fine, platinum mail, strong enough to defend against a giant lion's bite.

"Labor of the 10-headed hydra, the Spear of Goblinda" - A short tale, Goblinda once found her rest beneath a large oak in the Draconi forests interrupted by a giant hydra of 10 heads. She fought against the creature, and severed one of his heads, but it merely grew back in defiance. Realizing that she could not best such a beast without a worthy-enough weapon, she plucked away a giant scale of the hydra's fallen head, and fashioned from it a large, sharpened spearhead. She attached this spearhead to a large branch of the oak tree, and threw it at the hydra's chest from behind, with it's own scale pinning it to the ground and letting it bleed out as it writhed in pain, until it was no more. For her ingenuity in the face of certain death, Wrazzgar blessed Goblinda with another proof of labor, enchanting the spear she wielded against the creature with the strength to pierce any mortal magic defense or creation.

"Labor of the Three Crowns" - An undead king, brought into animation by foolish mages of Serendipity, had begun to wreak havoc in the western lands, aided by his resurrected queen and prince son. Wheresoever the three of them walked in tandem, the day became night; The mages informed Goblinda (who, of course, just happened upon the situation) that the undead king could not be defeated by anything other than the sun. Thus, she came up with a plan; She fought her way towards the the king, engaged him in combat, and when his guard was down, she cleverly turned and attacked the queen instead; knocking her crown from her head. Taking it as her own, Goblinda declared herself 'Queen of the undead, bride of the king', and escaped from the royal clutches of the enraged king. However, her plan came to fruition; As the crown was the proof of royalty, by escaping the undead horde with it, the curse of night was lifted, and the king and his army of undead were bested by the sun, put to rest once more. For her cleverness and fearlessness in the face of the undead, Wrazzgar granted her another proof of labor—  that any undead she might strike down in the future with the Spear of Goblinda would be freed of any curse that held them to this world, for once and all.

"Labor of the Nine Leaps of Andrach" - Andrach was the human-granded name of a great and aged dragon in the Thunderblacks, who often took to the skies above the mountain range, just above the peaks. Peaceful though the creature was, it loathed the life of solitude it lived, and longed for entertainment from the kin of humans. In Goblinda's travels she once challenged it to a race from one peak of the thunderblack mountains to another; This greatly amused the dragon, who accepted knowing that this feat was impossible for any mortal to achieve. And so, the dragon flew off, taking it's time as it flew to the peak of the mountain. Yet Goblinda was clever—  she used her great strength to toss her spear with all her might at the peak of a nearby mountain, and then leapt into the air to mount said spear as it flew. The spear pierced the skies, shocking the dragon, and along with it did Goblinda fly, before it (and she) landed atop the mountain peak. She repeated this 8 more times, and despite the dragon's renewed efforts, Goblinda landed atop the final peak of their race moments before Andrach did. It was a glorious challenge, one that the dragon amusedly claimed "suitably worthy of a dragon's kin", and one that Wrazzgar, potentially out of exasperation at this point, awarded with a proof of labor; A magical spell by the same name of the Labor, which grants Goblinda the ability to leap into, and off of, the air itself up to 9 times in succession, granting her aerial prowess almost unheard of to goblin kin.

Relationships

History

"Goblinda" isn't her given name, if you're curious; She was born 'Blurxi', would-be goblin-mother of one of the many cave-dwelling goblin clans that littered the crags of the Thunderblack Mountain range. Her lot in life was originally just to grow up and be as her mother was; A broodmother to the goblins of her clan—  feeding, birthing and raising her kin to maintain the health of their tribe. That all changed, however, when the males of the clan grew discontent with the rate their clan was growing, and decided to capture human women to help speed up the process. Their first attempt ended in the woman's death; The second introduced Blurxi to Linda—  the young daughter of a recently slain-by-goblins merchant.

Linda was put in Blurxi's care, to prepare her for her new life, and that was how the two came to know each other. Blurxi hadn't ever been outside, and knew so little of the outside world; Linda, meanwhile, saw past Blurxi's goblin race, and treated her as both an equal and a friend. She filled the young goblin girl's head with stories of the outside world, and the kindness of the people who lived in it—  Beautiful places, incredible historical events. Linda was also the one who gave Blurxi her 'real' name, of Goblinda—  Meant to be a bit of a joke originally, but Blurxi loved having a name given to her from her friend and adopted it with every fiber of her being.

Eventually, her Goblin kin came for Linda—  but Blurxi would not let them have her. In her defiance, she fought tooth and nail for the girl's freedom, with fire and ferver beyond any that a mere Goblin should've been able to muster—  the strength born from the need to protect something. By the end of the conflict, Blurxi had slain 29 of her former kin, and escaped with Linda, marking the end of her life as a cave-dwelling Goblin. That night, as the two rested in the relative safety of the Southern Draconi forest, Goblinda was visited in a dream by Wrazzgar—  Goblin god of The Trial, or trials by combat. For her bravery in the face of danger, as well as her courage to be more than some mere housewife of a Goblin, she was granted a Proof of Labor; A blessing from the Goblin god. When she awoke the next morning, to both her and Linda's surprise, Goblinda found herself... ripped. Like, wow. More interestingly, though, was her newfound ability to strike rocks and trees with enough force to break or topple them... which helped quite a bit in the two building a makeshift home for themselves, for a time; At least until a wandering search party from Ketra found the girl and brought her and Goblinda (with a little convincing) back to the city.

From there, Goblinda's journey, and feats, only continued to grow— Her many works earning her the title 'of the Seven Labors'... and counting, given how prone to being a helpful and good-natured lass she is.
