adored Serendipity. The people, the culture, the music, the food- gods, she really should spend more time here.
She snorted to herself quietly as she ducked through a crowded street into the even more crowded square- must have been some sort of festival or market fair going on. She always said that she should spend more time "here"- wherever
here happened to be at the time. It never seemed to work out.
Still, she was only a hop, skip, and a jump away from old Tobin's house here, and she'd been meaning to see him more often. Maybe she'd really mean it this time...
She was pulled from her thoughts by the sound of soft lute music drifting over the crowds. Head tilted curiously, she glanced around in an effort to find the source of the sound, but couldn't spot the player. She supposed it wasn't that odd- there were bound to be plenty of performers out on the street on a day like today, probably just one of them.
Although the music really was lovely. Much more skilled than what she'd come to expect from most roaming bards and the like, closer to something one might expect to hear from some lordling's musical pet.
She smiled to herself and swayed, then turned on the spot. Eyes half closed, she wove her way easily through the crowds, half dancing and half skipping. She drew a few stairs, but she didn't mind; she did that anyway, even in Serendipity she knew her coloring could be eye-catching. The music drew her forward and her smile grew as she spun on the ball of her foot and narrowly avoided crashing between a couple linked arm in arm. They started in surprise, but a quick grin and a wink was enough to mollify them as she continued her strange little walk-dance through the crowd
