Title: You don't know, Jack [M]

They needed to run.. and fast. Leaving the big cities behind should have been a piece of cake.. except Jack sometimes didn't know when to shut up.. or quit. One thing lead to another and a guard (which he told Fiona many times) clearly deserved it... fell beneath the winter magics of Jack.

Now he wasn't a man to just toss around magical powers,  but the man was running his mouth and pissing him off and well...
One thing lead to another.. and another band of guards that recognized Jack from previous unhappy encounters now teamed together, vowing to bring Jack (and due to circumstances,  his companion) into the capital in chains for the harshest punishment.

Clearly that wasn't going to fly with Jack. He wasn't exactly a man you could simply chain up. He was antsy. He didn't listen well. And he was well.. Jack.

One thing lead to another but Jack wouldn't be going back to any major city anytime soon. He ended up tossing too much Magic around that a portion of the city looked like an ice rink.. In the middle of summer!

So the pair had to move fast, and with what leverage they could use, procured a boat (okay.. they stole the boat, despite Jack saying they could 'return' it later). And thankfully the rivers were moving fast, being swollen with heavy rains from the previous weeks. Infact, it was raining that very day, soaking both he and Fiona to the bone. And the river was rough, Jack needing to pull out some more icy powers to navigate them through the night, which was a near impossible task in its own right. The boat hit and scraped a lot of rocks during its journey that part of the hull even cracked a little. Jack made due by patching it up with drift wood and ice, grouchily claiming it was 'good enough'..

Eventually the storm calmed but the rains never ceased, their down pour felt unending as the pair continued to travel down the river and into the night.

Rain.

Again.

"When we get back in dry land," Fiona muttered sullenly where she huddled into her makeshift blanket—an old piece of tarp that had been covering the boat— "I vote we find someplace with a real goddamn roof."

The river pitched beneath them and her stomach threatened to follow. She closed her eyes against the sensation and held her breath, praying the nausea would pass quickly. The last thing she needed just now was seasickness.

Jack snorted.
"It might be a while, " he sighed, rolling his shoulders as they reached a slightly calmer portion of the river. "They know we're traveling by boat. We'll have to avoid any cities for a while. So we're better off just seeing how far the river takes us. But hold that thought, " and he passed her the paddle."I gotta piss."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on June 19, 2022, 02:24:42 PM
Fiona fumbled the paddle a moment, but managed to get a grip on it and shifted to begin slicing through the water.

"I hope you know that I have no idea what I'm doing here," she grumbled in Jack's general direction. "If we capsize, you have only yourself to blame."

"The river's calmer here. You'll be fine. " And he belched as he walked past her to the end of the boat where he then unbuttoned his fly and relieved himself into the river with a sigh.

"Probably should consider getting supplies in a few days," he went on,  still pissing. "Get some jerky and dried fruits. Probably some hunting supplies would be wise.  Can't say I'm the best at it, but I'm not the worst. You know how to fish at all?" He asked.. . Still... pissing...

Fiona meant to cast him a wry glance, but doing so nearly made her lose her rhythm with the paddle and she quickly gave it up in favor of paying attention to where they were going. "What part of growing up in the back of a glass shop makes you think I know anything about survival skills?"

She sighed, then offered, a little doubtfully, "I could...burn things? I mean, I can cook, but...well, dragons are hunters, right? Maybe I have...some sort of instinct?"

Jack snorted as he fixed his pants.
"Instrincts don't exactly work that way," he informed, taking a moment to stretch as he stood upon the boat. It rocked some with his weight, leaning to favor the side that held most of his weight. And then he went on to crack his neck and gave a few good solid rolls of his shoulders and something popped as he sighed, satisfied.

Then he dropped down unceremoniously onto the second seat of the boat, which rocked beneath the force as he stretched out.

"I'm dog tired. You mind paddling for a bit?" He asked, leaning back so he was propped up a little, arms resting behind his head as he closed his eyes

"What does it look like I'm doing?" she grumbled, trying to ignore the way her arms were already starting to burn. Blowing glass was not exactly the kind of work that prepared her for sustained physical labor.

"So...where do we go from here?" she asked after a moment. "I mean--if you still mean to help me reach the Thunderblacks...what's the quickest way from here?"
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on June 28, 2022, 02:41:17 AM
"That depends. Could head to sea but I doubt it would be worth any time saved. Best way is probably direct, but we'll have the Kilanthro mountains to contend with before the Thunderblacks. Probably river travel where we can. I mean it's not like we've got horses "  he went on, staring thoughtfully towards the sky.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

"True," Fiona was starting to pant as she rowed. She really wasn't built for this, but she didn't think she should be getting tired this quickly. "But maybe that's good? From what I know of dragons, a pair of travelers might get through their territory unnoticed, but horses would draw too much attention."

She paused, frowning. "Now I think of it...I'm not entirely sure how we're supposed to track my—my father. My mother never even saw his dragon form, all I have to go on is...well, what I look like."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

Jack was nice and relaxed when the last part hit him. He sat up, Suddenly .

"What..woah, woah, woah.. you mean to tell me we're searching for a guy you not only don't know but you have no idea what he looks like as well?"
Was she crazy?
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on June 30, 2022, 01:13:07 PM
"Well I know what his human form looks like!" she protested quickly. "As for the dragon, well—I mean, gold is a pretty safe bet, isn't it? How many bright gold dragons can there be in the Thunderblacks anyway?"
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

Jack thought about it for a moment.
"I guess when we make it that far south, we can find an expert on dragons. Can't say I know of any. I've never really been outside of Connlaoth. "
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on September 04, 2022, 07:24:51 PM
"And I'd hardly been outside the shop until about a month ago," Fiona sighed, scrubbing one hand down her face. "I suppose...finding a dragon expert is the best we've got."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

Jack made a face but what else could he do?
"You really were a Sheltered dame weren't ya?" He shook his head. "Well, we've got nothing but the open road agead of us-" he began but stopped. Frowning, before adding. "Well, more like open river than road..but you get the idea."  Jack sighed and stood up, moving around to stretch out his anxious muscles.
"At least we have a goal and a plan. He'll I've winged worse things than this .. maybe not as big of a problem.. bur you get the idea "
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

She snorted. "I'm sure you have." Tiredness was already dragging at her, and she rubbed her eyes again, trying to fight it back. "Where—how, I suppose, does one go about finding a dragon expert, anyhow?"
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on November 07, 2022, 03:01:40 AM
Jack settled in a little more comfortably before closing his eyes.
"How the hell should I know? Best plan is to just ask around. Seems to be a good start. Now.." he went on with a sigh. "If you'll allow me a few moments rest, I'll take those oars back off of you."

He was tired, weary and the last thing he wanted to do was try to plan anything when he was this exhausted. He'll, they were starting off on the wrong foot already and this was a planned 'vacation '.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

Fiona sighed—not at him, just at the situation—but nodded. She knew there was nothing else they could really do. Not until they arrived at their destination, at any rate.

She did shoot him a dry look and shrugged theatrically as she rowed. "I mean, like I'm going to just stop rowing? That seems counterintuitive."

Although...well, they were going downstream. Maybe they could just let the water do the work for a while.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on December 25, 2022, 04:20:14 PM
And Jack muttered those words of truth out loud.
"If you're too tired just let the river do the work." He sighed and nestled into the most comfortable position he could,  with his head resting against the back of the boat. "Just don't hit too many rocks it breaks the boat, okay?" He gave a yawn and stretch before he closed his eyes.
"Such a green horn," he said, half through a snore.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on December 25, 2022, 09:02:27 PM
Fiona crinkled her nose at him and gave him a little nudge with the toe of her shoe, but otherwise let him rest. She pulled the oars halfway back into the boat and let herself lean back a little, allowing the river to carry them with only minor adjustments made by dipping one oar or the other into the water to keep them on course.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on December 25, 2022, 09:30:31 PM
He wasn't sure how long she let him sleep, but he stretched the crick in his neck and gave a long, emphasizing yawn. Sitting up,  he observed the boat was in one piece befire he stood up, scratching his crotch as he turned away and opened the front of his pants and relieved himself into the waters.

"How's the sailing?" He asked, back to her as he continued his business.

"Y'know, you may want to see a healer about that," Fiona quipped dryly, looking out over the river. "Frequent need to relieve oneself can be a sign of illness. And we're doing fine."

...She assumed. She didn't know anything about the topography around the river, but as far as she could tell, they were simply floating along quite serenely. Other than a few heavier clouds in the middle distance, it was actually quite a lovely day.

He snorted.
"Hey, I was thirsty. Which reminds me, We'll need to stop to get fresh water soon. " He picked up the shared waters kind and what little water was left sloshed about.

"Here, give me those oars. I'll get us to shore  "
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on January 06, 2023, 08:56:49 AM
Fiona handed over the oars gladly, rolling her shoulders and stretching both arms and wings as her back groaned with relief.

"Why can't we just use the river?" she asked when Jack mentioned fresh water. "Running water should be safe enough, shouldn't it?"
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

Jack scratched at his beard.
"I guess. Just been in the city so long I typically don't trust the source. Have you seen what gets tossed in the river? I always try to find a spring,  something smaller that dumps into the river rather than the other way around."
He shrugged.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on January 14, 2023, 02:13:13 PM
Fiona held her hands up, fingers spread, in a "don't look at me" gesture.

"Hey, you're the expert here. Well, between the two of us," she said with a shrug.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on January 20, 2023, 12:06:45 PM
"Yeah.. well.." he gave a sniff and idle scratch to his nose. "It's probably something you ought to learn. We'll be traveling a lot. Things like what leaves to use when you go to the bathroom and the best places to make camp."

Jack took a moment to stretch out his arms, eyes staring across the way as the boat continued to head now toward shore.

"We'll dock here. Looks like a stream is emptying into the river. We can get fresh water and uh... relax a bit on shore."
Jack tried not to eye Fiona, but their little escape down the river was making him... excited. And while what they did before was more than fun...

He still wasn't exactly the type of guy to know how to bring up 'Hey you wanna bang right now cause I'm horny?'

He was clumsy with women, awkward even- and this situation was always easier paid at the brothel. Now that he had....

Hell..
what did he consider her? What did she consider him, for that matter? Hell, for all he knew- she thought he was lousy at it and probably wouldn't want to...

Hell, what was he thinking or doubting? The two went at it like rabbits. Even still, he adjusted his pants and tried to ignore his more primal urges.

"Maybe I can hunt us dinner or whatever," he said, continuing to steer the boat shorewards.

Post by: DragonSong on January 20, 2023, 12:21:56 PM
Fiona nodded, frowning at the water. She knew he was right, she needed to get used to what traveling—and by extensions, survival on the road—meant.

"You hunt?" She looked back to him curiously, head cocked to one side.

Was he...looking at her?

She found herself flushing and glanced away again quickly. He probably wasn't. Right? What they had done...well, that had been impulsive. Spur of the moment, not...well...

She peeked sidelong at him, feeling heat rise in her chest just remembering.

Jack shrugged.
"Not really, but we're a bit limited in our options. I suppose we could wait to find a town to eat."

The boat scraped in shallow waters and rocked to a hault.  Jack jumped out, boots splashing in the waters as he hauled the boat mostly onto the shore of rocks.

Then he studied the sky.
"Weather seems like it will be alright, " he reckoned. "Come on,  let's stretch out our legs on land. "
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on January 21, 2023, 08:43:18 AM
"Don't have to tell me twice." Fiona scrambled eagerly from the boat, more than happy to stretch legs, wings, and tail after sitting cramped for several hours. She stretched her arms up above her head and let her body bow backward, shaking her wings loose and swaying her tail lazily from side to side.

"God, that's better," she sighed happily, giving herself a little shake. She glanced around them, taking stock of the land. "Well...I don't know much about hunting or foraging, but I can definitely get us a fire going, if we need it?"
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on January 22, 2023, 11:43:40 AM
He hadn't the thought to steal a glance and appreciate her stretching, but he did. And made enough sense to look away.

He cleared his throat.
"Fire would make sense.  Will make the rest more comfortable. " He shrugged his shoulders and cracked his neck and eyed the area.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on January 22, 2023, 11:50:27 AM
"Alright, I'll start on that then." Fiona set about collecting the driest bits of wood she could find, glancing up at Jack every so often as she did.

"See something?" she asked inanely, feeling awkward. But he was more familiar with "roughing it" than she was, and she really was trying to learn what sorta of things she should be keeping an eye out for.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on January 22, 2023, 01:45:34 PM
See something? He could have said a lot to that. But somehow stayed his tongue, sighing.
"No," came a begrudgened reply. "Just tired and our journey's only begun." He moved to Crack his neck again and pauses to survey the area.

"I can try to set a trap. Maybe catch us a rabbit, or quail." And he moved to test the flexibility of some nearby tree limbs.

"Can't promise nothing. Could also try to fish. Might promise more luck. Fish ain't as smart as other animals."

Post by: DragonSong on January 22, 2023, 01:50:17 PM
Fiona shrugged, settling herself down so she could start building the fire. "I'm in no position to judge—I'll take anything that's hot, at this point."

She hiked up her "borrowed" skirt a bit so she could cross her legs and leaned forward to breath a thin stream of flame onto the firewood. It caught with a bright crackle, and she sat back with a pleased smile.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

Jack gave a whistle.
"I'm not sure if that's hot or not..."
He gave her an east, crooked grin before turning away.
"Guess I'll go do the manly thing and hunt.." he went on, adjusting his pants as he walked.

Fiona found herself blushing at that and shot him a quick Look. She bit her lip as he started to walk away, and then all of the sudden she was saying, "I mean...you don't have to go right now, do you?"

Oh God what am I doing?

Clearing her throat, she looked away from him and said with slightly forced carelessness, "I mean, you've been rowing most of the day. Maybe you should...sit a minute, first?"
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on April 08, 2023, 09:07:49 PM
He continued away, however, scratching at his butt.

"No, no. Don't worry, Fiona. Jack's got this."

He cracked his neck and called over his shoulder.

"I gotta shit anyways.  I'll be back though.. with food."

No one ever said the man had class...
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on April 09, 2023, 07:47:48 AM
Fiona shook her head as he walked away, though whether that was at him or her own damn self she wasn't entirely sure. "I cannot believe I am attracted to you," she muttered at his back with a small sigh before setting about making their little campsite a bit tidier. It was all she really knew how to do.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

It had been a decent while before Jack returned- likely to a point one might fret he may never return. But when he did.. he carried a few bags and dropped them with a gruff grunt beside her before dropping down onto the ground.

"Turns out we're not as far from civilization as we thought. I got us some bread and dried meats from a town way past the woods."
He gave a shrug about it before adding, "I was tipped off it was nearby by stumbling across a a few rabbit traps."

And a new gash on Jack's side proved just how much he had stumbled into it. He picked up a stick and poked at the fire.

"I also got you some kind of thing called a chocolate." He paused after an awkward moment before adding, "It's pretty good. I ate some."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on April 12, 2023, 10:40:07 AM
"Oh my God, where have you--" Fiona cut off as he dropped his bags, then himself, onto the ground beside her. Something about him smelled...metallic? What...?

"You're bleeding," she realized, irritation replaced quickly with concern. She tried to move toward him, urging, "Let me see--have you even bandaged it? What were--"

Again, she found herself pausing. Chocolate? He'd...brought her chocolate? That was...surprisingly sweet.

Jack shrugged off her concern.
"The wounds already clotted. I wasn't going to really fuss over it today," he went on with a sigh, obviously tired- despite the fact he hadn't really hunted. But still, traveling tended to take out a lot from a person. He had to stay on alert at all times, after all, who new what dangers lurked in the forests.. They weren't the same kinds he avoided in the city.

Post by: DragonSong on April 23, 2023, 02:23:59 PM
"That's going to get infected," Fiona huffed. She scooted closer to him, frowning at the blood on his shirt. "You should at least let me clean and bandage it."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on April 23, 2023, 02:47:11 PM
Jack made a face, not unlike that of a child's.
"You should eat first. I can go clean up at the river," he said, and as if to prove his point, he began to pull off his shirt, tossing it aside carelessly.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on April 23, 2023, 06:34:26 PM
"Would you hold still?" Fiona huffed, arms folded as she glared at him. "Just—just sit there, and let me look at it, alright?"
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on April 25, 2023, 11:02:38 AM
Jack rolled his eyes and conceded.
"Fine," he said, folding his arms. "I'm too tired to really argue anyway."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on April 25, 2023, 01:14:50 PM
"Thank you." Muttering about "stubborn, pig-headed men" under her breath, she shifted closer and gently moved his arm so she could see the wound.

She hissed quietly, frowning. "I'll need to clean that," she murmured. "And we should bandage it properly, to make sure it doesn't get infected. Here, don't move--I'll get some water to boil and we can use that to clean it."

She stood, grabbing up their half-empty water flask before making her way back to the river bank.

Jack just avoided her all together, muttering his own things about finicky dragon girls or something of the likes. As she moved to get water, he simply let his back flop to the ground as he groaned and felt as though he could melt into the earth.  He had his eyes closed for all of two seconds before he was snoring loudly on the ground.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

Fiona sighed when she got back to him and realized he was asleep. Well, she'd just have to do this carefully.

Kneeling beside him, she tried to begin cleaning and wrapping his wound as gently as she could, hoping to avoid waking him if she could possibly manage it.

Jack grunted awake as she tended to him, wiping the sleep from his eyes. He peered over at her, yawning.
"Oh, so you were planning to man handle me while I slept?"
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on May 05, 2023, 11:08:16 AM
"If I were planning to do anything while you were asleep, you wouldn't be waking up at all," Fiona snapped quietly at him. She finished wrapping the bandages and sat back. "There. How does that feel?"
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on May 06, 2023, 09:59:47 AM
"With how careful you're bein', I'm not sure how I couldn't have woken up." He moved to Crack his neck before shrugging.

"It feels like you put a bandage on me."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on May 15, 2023, 11:11:16 AM
"Very astute," she replied dryly. "Yes, I bandaged it. Cleaned it, too, but I still think you should see a proper healer when we can get you to one."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

Jack shook his head.
"We don't have the time or resources for it. It'll heal up in time."

"Jack—" She sighed. "Fine. Fine. But when that thing gets infected and you lose a foot because of it, don't come crying to me."

She had no idea how that might actually happen, and she didn't much care, hugging as she folded her arms and rolled her eyes at him.

"We should get some sleep," she noted after a moment. "And, if you really insist on not seeing a proper healer, I can check on that wound in the morning."

Jack lay back in the grass with a groan.

"Now you're speaking my kinda language." He closed his eyes, sighing off some tension except.

Except...

Damn it. There was another more manly tension tenting his pants. Well.. maybe it would just go away..
He sighed again but...

His mind was drifting off towards when he and Fiona went at it like rabbits. His eyes opened.

Yup. Wasn't gonna sleep just yet.

Still sitting up and observing the fire, Fiona could hear him moving restlessly. Turning her head toward him slightly, she asked, "Trouble sleeping?"

She was certainly having some problems settling herself. It seemed like ever since she'd left home things just kept happening--she'd hardly had a moment to process any of it.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on October 06, 2023, 12:55:22 PM
Jack shrugged at her words.

"Just hard to sleep because I'm thinking back to us having sex in that old abandoned house. I mean.. how long did we go at it..? Has to be a record or something. I mean.. and you were what.. a virgin? Damn.." he chewed over that thought as he looked at the sky. "Probably a really good first time too.."

He needed to stop talking. It wasn't helping loosen the issue in his pants. But if Jack were anything he was perhaps too honest and had no idea when it was wise to talk on certain.. subjects.

"It was really messy, too."

Yeah he had no idea when to shut up.

...Well.

Honestly, she didn't know what she'd been expecting, but it wasn't that.

Fiona gaped at him from where she was seated by the fire. "I--don't know how to respond to that," she told him bluntly after a moment. "Was that your idea of a seduction?"

Jack blinked.
"Well.. no I... er.. well, the thing of it is.. you kinda wanted to jump onto the sex wagon. I would have just paid a poor whore for what you did."

The he paused to consider..

"You didn't want paid, did you?"

"Oh!"

She all but exploded to her feet, an almost affectionate exasperation with him changing swiftly to anger. "You know what, Jack? Fuck you--or, more accurately, go fuck yourself, because I will certainly not be doing it."

Color high in her cheeks, she whirled and stormed off to the edge of their camp before sitting in a huff, muttering something uncharitable under her breath.

Jack blinked.
"That's one way to wilt."

He pushed himself up as he looked over at Fiona.

"Oh, come on. You can't be that mad at me! I thought we both enjoyed it!" He pressed, moving towards her.

"It is not a matter of whether or not I enjoyed it!" she all but screeched, spinning to glare at him. "It is the fact that you just insinuated that I wanted paid for it!"

Jaw tight, she huffed and put her back to him again. She was quiet a moment before snapping, "It's not like I thought I was special, Jack. I don't have any sort of—of romantic notions about what happened between us."

Her voice grew thick, and to her horro she realized her eyes had started to burn. "But I—I thought you at least liked me. Or...knew that I liked you. Enough that I trusted you to—"

She swallowed again and looked away, crossing her arms right over her chest. "My mistake. Clearly."

"Hey.. Woah, woah, woah, calm down Fiona, before you catch the whole forest on fire, will ya? Now I may not be a smart man, hell, I'm the farthest thing from that. But even I know we had something special there. Hell.. I only came about a hundred times! A man just doesn't naturally do that and well..." he paused to consider. "Well.  I still think it was pretty hot and it's making me horny, okay? I'm even worse at thinking when I want to bed a girl!"

"Oh for—!"

She turned to glare at him directly, arms still folded. Her eyes were over-bright, and her tail lashed sharply from side to side.

"Tell me that," she said slowly, "nicely. Tell me you're sorry for implying I'm a whore, and that you liked being with me. Tell me you can't stop thinking about me, about that." She paused, then finished in a slightly softer voice, "But only if you mean it. If you don't...we let it drop here. We never bring it up again. Agreed?"

"What? I didn't imply you were a whore! I just.. They're the only ones I end up in bed with! I mean.. hells, Fiona, you know I ain't good with words! You've seen my lifestyle.. where i live. What I do....How long have we known each other? Hell.." he paused to actually consider. Something seemed to click into place.

"Damn.. you've kinda seen it all around me, haven't you?"

He frowned, looking at her.

"And you actually.. like me.." he said, remembering back before they had gotten it on like animals .

He peered over at her, rather sheepishly- but he was wearing a rather stupid grin as he repeated it.

"You.." he was pointing at her. "You actually like me! Hells, Fiona... how am I even supposed to wrap my head around that? No good girl has ever wanted like a real relationship with me like I said . I normally just go to whores because it easier.. but this . I. .."

What was he even supposed to do?

"Hell... Fiona... I mean if you want me to show you how much I like ya my bodies kinda more than ready but.." he shook his head. "I'm not a man of thought or words. I just.. do.." he gave a helpless shrug.

"I mean what an I supposed to do.. are we..  do we just start having sex now or... "

He was beyond clueless.

Fiona tsked and lifted an eyebrow—but she seemed a little bit less on the verge of tears, and the angry snapping of her tail had slowed somewhat.

"Try again," she told him firmly. Then, because she knew he did genuinely need the direction, she added, "What do you like about me, Jack? Start there. Tell me what you like about me."

Jack just stared at her.

"Uhh.  You mean like how I really liked rutting with you?" He said hesitantly, scratching at the back of his head.

She gritted her teeth, trying and failing to swallow back a growl.

"No," she ground out, "what you like about me. My personality—hells, even my looks, if you can't think of anything else!"

She closed her eyes, sighed, then opened them again. Still sounding irritated, she snapped, "Like...your eyes. I like your eyes. And I like—most of the time—that you speak your mind. I never have to guess what you're thinking, you don't play mind games."

Her cheeks darkened, and she added in a rush, "And I—I like the way your hands feel on me. I like that I've seen how rough you can be, but you touch me gently."

She swallowed, then huffed and jerked her head at him. "There. That's three whole things I like about you. Your turn."

Jack only stared.
"Well damn, Fiona. That's  . That's not helping the tent in my pants.." he continued to rub at the back if his head, flushing some. The man was almost squirming.

"I'm..not exactly real good at this..talking ain't my strong suit but..."

Shit.

He sighed.

"I dunno I just like you. I feel comfortable around you.. well.. usually.  Like when you aren't forcing me to talk. But its..kinda nice. You know.." he shrugged. "That  me being me don't chase you off. Like you aren't really scared of much that most women.. or even people..might be. it's like what I am or do is  something to avoid."

Slowly, Fiona began to soften.

"There you go," she said, much more gently. "That's...nice, Jack. Thank you."

Lips quirking up on one side, she amended, "Well, except for mentioning the whole pants-tent thing."

She took a step closer to him, allowing her arms to fall to her sides, relaxed, rather than remain folded over her chest.

"I like that I feel safe with you," she murmured. "I like that, even though the world terrifies me sometimes, when I'm seeing it with you, I...I know that it'll be okay."

Jack gave an awkward grin in reply to that.  Then laughed.

"You have an odd sense of assuming we're okay  I mean we did just kinda get run off from the city .. and wait.. how does being with me not terrify you?"

"I don't know," she replied, half laughing and shaking her head. "Honestly, it doesn't make much sense, but I just—I know you'll look out for me. Even when you're acting like it's a chore."

She smiled crookedly and shifted a little closer. "You, uh..." She glanced down at his pants, then up again quickly. "Still feeling, um...tense?"
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

"You don't even know the half of it," he muttered..then blinked and realized ."wait.." he put a hand on her shoulder.
"If you like me.. and I like you..and we're obviously..like we obviously have a mutual attraction... "

Then a smile blossomed across his face.

"Does that mean I'm gonn get laid every night?"

And just like that, the softness vanished again.

"Oh my god." She groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose. "No, you lummox, especially not if you keep saying things like that!"

With a huff, she dropped her hand and fixed him with an arch look. "Alright. You're not...used to this. This sort of...relationship, I guess. I get that. Neither am I. But, if this is a thing we're going to be doing, then I need you to make an effort here."

She spread her arms out. "You don't have to lie to me or anything! Don't tell me I'm special, or you're in love with me, or whatever. Just...how about this." She raised one finger. "Any time you wanna sleep with me, you can ask, no tiptoeing around it or whatever. Just ask nicely, for fuck's sake."

Cheeks burning—because dear God she could not believe this was a conversation they were having—she quirked an eyebrow. "So. Do you have something you want to ask me, Jack?"

"Wait.. woah, woah, wait a second there.."

He grabbed her by her arms and looked into her eyes, a surprisingly serious expression on his face.

"You mean I can just ask for sex. Like.. if we're at a bar and I'm suddenly feeling frisky.. that I can just ask and we can go to a corner somewhere and just... rut?"

Ohhh the smile on his face as if he'd just found gold.

"Oh my--no!"

She shrugged his hands off and took a step back, glaring again. "I said you can ask, that doesn't mean I'll say yes. It's a case-by-case basis! And stop saying rut!"

Face red, she gestured vaguely back and forth between them. "Y'see, like, right now? Now, I don't particularly want to sleep with you. Maybe take a second and think before you speak--God forbid, offer me some sort of apology--and that might change."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

"What?" He genuinely looked confused. Impatiently, hands went to his hips.
"You wouldn't want to have sex with me in a bar?"

But then it seemed things began to click and..

"Oh.. oh.. Hells, Fiona! I wouldn't ever presume. Besides, you said yourself I'd have to ask for it! And I would! I mean.. "

He saw her face.. the anger and...

Best not to anger the dragon girl any further.

"Alright just calm down, okay? I'm sorry I'm an idiot but.  Well.. most men think with their penis! It's not like it has a brain on it! It just wants sex!"

Again, she started to soften a bit when he seemed to actually understand why she was annoyed. The hint of fire behind her colorless eyes died down to a warm glimmer, and her shoulders relaxed slightly.

"I am...trying to be understanding here," she muttered. "So okay. But I am asking you to think with your heart—head."

She corrected herself quickly and decided not to think too deeply about the slip. "The head on your shoulders, if you need the clarification," she added a little snippily.

Jack smirked as he observed her.
"So.. Fiona.." he went on, taking a step forward and taking one of her hands.
"We gonna do this? Because it's getting really uncomfortable to keep on these pants and well..." he looked her body over. "It won't be the marathon like before... but I know it'll feel real good for the both of us."

He noted the blush.

"And you're blushing.."

He moved to brush her hair away from her face. That was a good sign.. right?

"Mmm." She let him reach out to brush her hair back, but didn't fully close the distance between them. Okay, yes, she was certainly feeling...tense herself. She had been most of the evening.

But she was determined to make her stance on this clear. "One more try," she told him with a quirked eyebrow. "Ask me nicely if I would like to make love to you."

Because God as her witness, if he used the word "rut" one more time, she was going to strangle him.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: visualspice on October 07, 2023, 10:36:41 PM
Jack blinked again. He seemed to be doing a lot of that. He awkwardly scratched at the back of his head.

"Er.  Make.. love?"

If she felt strange over his vulgar use of rut, he was really feeling out of sorts with even thinking the idea make love.

It wasn't that he didn't feel for her. He just.. he didn't even understand what that emotion was, let alone lump it against something as poetic as love.

"Hell..Fiona.. I don't know if I can ask that. Honestly, I don't even know where to begin with you. I like you and all.. hell.. maybe more than that! who knows, maybe one day even someone as dumb as me could figure out this whole love thing but I.. it..  it's just not me, Fiona. I.. I'm sorry I... I just don't want to lie to you. This.. us . I like it. I want to keep it. But I sure as shit don't know if we're at love yet. And I'm not going to just lead you around for it just to get you to ride me... even as tempting as it is.  Hell.. I'm messing up again, aren't I??"

His shoulders wilted dejectedly. He was way out of his comfort zone and element on this one.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

Perhaps surprisingly, Fiona actually softened further at that. Maybe what he was saying actually made sense—or maybe she'd just been traveling with him long enough that she'd gotten used to his way of phrasing things.

"Jack..." She sighed. "I'm not asking you to love me. Look, I—I like you. A lot. But I don't really...know much about this either." She actually smiled at him then, eyes glittering softly in the firelight. "Okay, you don't have to use the phrase "make love"—just don't say rut, for God's sake!"

She was laughing a bit as she said it, which certainly softened the edges of annoyance that lingered in her tone.

"What's wrong with rut? Am I saying the wrong word? Does it mean something else entirely?"

"Just--!" She held a hand up, closed her eyes, took a breath. "Just...it makes me uncomfortable, okay? It makes me feel...cheap."

She shrugged and huffed. "Just say--say "sleep with" or something. Hells, say sex! Just don't say rut, please."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

Jack just stared as she was floundering before he smirked.

"Okay. Wanna have sex like two wild, heated dogs? Cause I saw a good log back there I could bend you over and release all this tension between us.. if you know what I mean."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack
Post by: DragonSong on October 08, 2023, 06:31:54 PM
Well.

He hadn't said "rut".

She groaned and dropped her face into her hands, shaking her head. "Do you even hear yourself when you-? Y'know what, fine. Okay, fine. We actually talked this out a bit, so I guess I'll count that part as a win." She could recognize the ways he was trying—even if he was still an idiot.

Planting her hands in her hips, she leaned back onto one heel and looked him up and down with an arched eyebrow. "And no, I would not particularly like you to bend me over a log just now."

One side of her mouth twitched in the barest hint of a smile. "But...if you do that thing you did before, with your mouth? I could certainly reconsider the log idea after that."

Jack's face went through an odd series of expressions. Confusion, bewilderment, calcuation then finally something seemed to click.

He rubbed thoughtfully at his chin.

"The thing with my mouth.. right.."

Then he felt compelled to ask as confusion returned.

"Okay now which aspect of my mouth are we talking? Like kissing with the tongue or the sex with the tongue?"

Because he honestly just felt like he was just outside of his element here.  It was easier to just pay a whore but...

Well.. this, whatever they were cultivating, was all hells kind of nice, too.

"Oh, for--"

Fiona tipped her head back to mutter something toward the sky. It sounded vaguely like, "How did I inherit my mother's terrible taste in men?"

"Just--fucking hells, Jack, do you wanna kiss me or not? Let's start there," she huffed, exasperated.
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

In Jack's defense, he normally didn't out right ask. He kinda just did. So with this going back and forth.. it confused him on more levels than it should.

"Wouldn't I frustrate you less if I just started to take of my clothes?" Getting naked always lead to sex. Well, mostly. He reached down to undo his pants. "I mean if our end goal is to ru- err..  umm.. have sex, can't I just like rip off those clothes of yours and-"

He paused and closed his mouth- catching himself from actually undoing his pants- but not before he grabbed Fiona's arm suddenly and pulled her close, kissing her deeply, passionately as he held her firmly against his body. He felt that familiar  zing shoot up like a heated gun from his pants as he moaned and kissed her again. This time his hands began to move of their own volition, smoothing up the sides of her body.

Fiona let him pull her in when he took her arm, wrapping her own around his neck and meeting the kiss enthusiastically.

Breaking away from his mouth, she started trailing kisses down the length of his throat. In between, she asked only a little breathlessly, "Are you--familiar--with the word--foreplay?"

She tipped her head back up to meet his lips with hers and let the kiss linger for a few long moments before pulling away again. "We don't have to jump right into it," she half-laughed, half-sighed. "Y'know, I'm rather under the impression that the ah, building anticipation part can actually be fun."

That.. that much he did know, smirking through their words and kisses as he grabbed her roughly to pull her in close, kiss heated as their bodies pressed.

A hand grabbed roughly at the ties of her shirt, moaning as his lips met to her's. He wasn't a subtle man. She'd feel him jerking, almost tearing the strings from their restraints.

And she'd also feel his moaning , hot lips moving down, down, down her neck.

"Easy, easy," she found herself half laughing as she placed a hand on his chest to slow him and get some distance. "I've lost quite enough sets of clothes on this madcap adventure, thank you very much. I don't need you ripping these off, too."

She took a step back and let her hand drift to the lacing of her shirt, tugging it free slowly as she tilted her head at him with the faintest hint of a smile. "Y'know, most people would say patience is a virtue."
Title: Re: You don't know, Jack

He let her slow his raving hands, his mouth remaining occupied against her throat. As he felt the ties loosen, he began to push the top half of her clothing down, lips moving with it.

"Patience is for those who want to wait." He moaned against her skin. "I'm not a good man at thinking.." he continued, lips still roaming, feasting. "But I do know how to act," he growled, then moved to help yank the rest of her clothing away.

"Do you?" Fiona joked wryly, allowing him to help her shuck the remainder of her clothes. She let her hands run down his chest to settle on his hips, then up under the back of his shirt as she drew him in closer for a proper kiss.

"Show me then," she murmured, smiling against his lips, and pulled him down with her onto the grass.

Jack moaned through a kiss, that soon twisted into a heated grin. He allowed her to pull him down with her into the grass, large, calloused hands feeling up the warm skin of her naked body.

"You're going to make me eat those words, ain't ya?" He asked through kisses as he nursed at her neck.

"Now what would make you think that?" She smiled and let herself stretch out over the grass, tipping her head further to the side to bare the length of her throat. Running one hand up and down his spine, she allowed herself to relax back in an open invitation to Jack's attentions.

His hands roamed her body, cupping her soft, pert breasts as his thumb fondled over a nipple. His moans still vibrated hotly through kisses at her throat. Then his hands moved down to glide and run down the length od her soft belly before hooking down between her legs where he gently let his fingers wander while lips began to kiss and suck and devour her breasts.

Fiona gasped and cooed quietly in encouragement of his attentions, letting him explore as he pleased for a few moments before she started to grow impatient and cupped one hand under his jaw to draw his mouth back up to hers.

She rolled them over, perching carefully above him and letting their hips press together teasingly as she nipped at his lower lip. "Okay?" she asked with a little smile as she pulled back, letting one hand glide down over the center of his chest to hover just above the slight dip of his hips.

Jack moaned at the attentions, rolling his hips in hopes for entry.

"You just want to tease me," he complained, his hands moving up to massage and feel the soft warmth of her breasts.

"Is that all you wanted? To tease poor Jack?"

He continued to move his hips, prodding to get in.

"Ah ah ah..." Fiona smirked down at him. Oh, this whole building anticipation thing was more fun than she'd expected. She pressed against him, but always slid just to the side so that their bodies couldn't quite meld together. "I do want to tease you," she murmured with a soft, crooked smile. "You just spent quite a while proving yourself to be infuriating. I do believe it's my turn."

She arched her back slightly, pressing herself forward into his hands, and her wings spread out slowly from her back. Her own hands trailed up and down his ribs, nails scraping gently over skin.

"Only if..." Her own breath starting to come a bit heavier, she tilted her head at him and ran her hands up to brace gently against his chest as she leaned down. "Only if you like it though," she finished, hovering with her mouth nearly touching his.

Jack actually whimpered at her threat, his attempts to unite their bodies thwarted at every thrust.

And then she..they..
His heart was pumping and his body felt like a wild fire.

"You're gonna make me beg," came a growled reply- but oh, he made no motions towards making her stop. And the anticipation made his cock so hard.

This game.. what a deliciously, terrible game she played with him.

"Oh, not beg, necessarily," Fiona assured, smirking, though she was panting lightly herself with the effort of restraint. Her tail lashed back and forth, betraying the control she held over the rest of her body.

She dipped down to kiss his collar lightly. "Just...ask...nicely." Between every word, she allowed her kisses to drift up to his jaw, his cheek, then just barely against the corner of his mouth. One hand braced beside his shoulder, while the other traveled teasingly lower.

He whimpered through a hot puff of breath.
"W-what? You want me to.."

Then he began to move again, prodding once more for entry.

"What if I don't know how?"

"Ah, ah, ah." Her playful smirk widened and she lifted herself just far enough away from him to deny what he was aiming for. "Then I'd recommend you figure it out," she chuckled lightly, stroking two fingers along the line of his jaw and down the side of his throat.  "Because I will not be doing anything else until you ask me nicely."

Jack whimpered and tried to reach her but damn.. if it wasn't making it worse and worse.

"I.. I could just take it.." he threatened, but most of it was hot air. He was completely underneath her thumb, and he continued to try and thrust for her again., while his eyes shone with need.

"Fiona..." he panted."What do I gotta do.?. Say please?"

Fiona sat back a bit and gave him a firm look. "You could, but you won't," she said, the playfulness gone from her voice. "Because you're not a bad man, Jack."

She waited a moment for that to sink in before she leaned down to him again. "Yes," she murmured. "I want you to say please."

"Aww you know I didn't mean it like that."

He blinked and stared up at her at the last reveal.

"Really?" He went on, poking her to remind her just what she was messing with.
"The magic word is please?"

He grumbled a moan and cupped her face, kissing her suddenly before asking, "Fiona, can I please put my dick in you?"

She sighed into the kiss and rolled her eyes. "Y'know what? Good enough for now."

Finally, she let their hips slot together, bodies melding, and another sigh shivered from her lips as the relief that came with the end of the teasing. Even if the teasing had been fun.

Her wings half unfurled for a moment, and her tail lashed again, then curved down over her thigh, tip twitching as she shivered against him.

He was about to say he was joking- just being an asshole but...holy shit. He soon found himself inside her velvet warmth.

His eyes rolled back as he moaned.

"G-gods.. Fiona." He shivered, hands smoothing down her form. He gripped her ass, pulling their bodies close and rocked along with her.

The half-dragon purred, back arching slightly as she started to move in rhythm with him. She leaned down to once more catch his mouth in a kiss—hungry this time, her own repressed passion bubbling to the surface.

"Maybe I should have made you beg," she whispered raggedly against his mouth with a small smile when she came up for air. "D'ya think you'd have liked that?"

She rocked against him a little harder, one hand sliding up over his ribs with the barest drag of nails against skin.

Jack shivered under her minstrations. He was completely subjected to her whim. And he wasn't used to that . And it only fueled his fire.

"Liked it?" He panted, matching her speed. "You'd better be careful, Fiona- because all this dirty talk.." he went on.. "might make for a short ride."

Even still, he held onto her, forcing their bodies to remain close as they fucked.  Lips moved, growling and biting at her neck.

"Gods..Fiona.."

He shivered.

She felt so fucking amazing.  And she was his. Ansgar's name- how had that even happened ?

A low rumbling sound--almost a purr but not quite--echoed in her chest, and she tilted her head to bare more of her neck as they fell into a rhythm.

She smiled a bit, eyes half-lidded, and pressed a quick kiss to the edge of his jaw. Her wings spread out and then curved forward around them both, her tail sliding down from her own thigh to curl around his gently.

"No more dirty talk then," she chuckled, and brought her mouth close to his ear so she could change tact: telling him how good he felt, how she wanted him to touch her, how much she liked this, liked him.

It didn't take long to bring her close to the edge, and the gentle whispers were replaced with quiet gasps and soft pants. Her hands tightened on his shoulders and she pressed her face into the curve of his neck with a quiet groan as her whole body shivered.

At that, he moaned in protest.

"No, no!" He pleaded, panting as he picked up speed. "Talk dirty to me.." he growled against her throat, mouth moving down her front. "Talk dirty so I'll explode." Then his mouth devoured of her breasts in hunger.

"Cause I am to fucking fill you with my cum."

She was already so close to her own peak, that was all it took to send her over the edge. Her wings flared and she gasped, back arched as her head fell back and her tail tightened around his leg.

She slumped slightly in the aftermath, her whole body shivering gently. The arm she had wrapped around Jack's shoulders tightened, and sharp nails pressed against his skin.

She laughed breathlessly and let her head fall forward again to press her brow to his. "Go on then," she urged in a rough whisper. Her tail slid up along the outside of his thigh to curve around his waist gently, urging him closer to her.

Her reaction was all the confirmation he needed. She wasn't a whore, who were conditioned to the deposits from men- so every part of him screamed of the danger.

They shouldn't.  It was risky.

But he let out a wild scream as he filled her up anyway.

"Gods," he shook, burying his face against her neck, cumming so much it was already leaking hotly from her body. Then he moaned and collapsed into a satisfied heap. One hand idly stroked her tail clutching onto him before he looked down at it and smirked.

"We should invite your tail into the fun next time. Is it sensetive?" He asked , genuinely curious.

Fiona chuckled quietly, still rather breathless. "Not much more than the rest of me," she replied with a small shrug. "Though I can't say I've head much experience with people touching it." She carefully unwound her tail from his leg to gently curl the tip of it over his wrist.

Sitting back a bit, she rolled her shoulders and allowed her wings to fall half-open behind her with a quiet, contented sigh.

Jack remained in a contented heap upon the grass.
"Boy that felt amazing. Although now I might need a few moments to recuperate. " he closed his eyes. "Sex is a lot of work."

Fiona chuckled a bit and rolled to the side, allowing herself to sprawl out on the grass next to him. "Mhm," she agreed with a tired sigh, eyes already drifting half closed.
