laying upon the cold earth her hair of brown slung around her face.. skin smooth and yet smudged with the dirt she lied upon.. the sun slowly shows its whole form as she starts to awaken.. still drowsy but slowly coming to.. she looks to the sky as eyes show brightly and yet hidden in her brown gaze.. standing she wipes at her nearly distroyed(sp?) dress.. still holding its shape she slowly starts to make her dizzy way to a store any where or to find her bag.. tired she collapses onto her knees once then slowly stands again.. her eyes closed as she caught her breath and looked to her hands.. covered in dirt she give a sigh of relieve.. "at least none died.." her voice was tender and at a whisper.. as she trailed on..

The young elf stepped through the portal. It immediately vanished from behind him. He tested the foreign ground with his booted feet, shifting his weight and kicking at dirt clods. He checked the sky: the moon was full and high on its celestial pedestal. The wind blowing through his cloak was chilled and smelled of pine.

"Winter," he whispered. "LionHeart, I need my-"

He looked behind him. There was no horse. He turned fully around, his keen eyes searching in every direction. No horse.

"LionHeart! Silly animal!" He grinned, chuckling.

With a slight movement of his hands and a quiet incantation, the portal opened again. The regal head of a beautiful stallion appeared through the opening, chewing on a handful of hay. The elf smiled and grabbed the horse's bridle, acknowledged by a content whinny.

"Come on, you Lion," he said more firmly this time.

As the stallion begrudgingly stepped through and the portal again disappeared, the quiet whisper of a maiden reached the elf's ears. He hushed the stubborn stallion, and searched for the source of such a sound. Within moments, the girl came into his view. He managed to stop himself from cringing at the sight of her appearance. She had endured something terrible, and recently.

"Excuse me, madam," he said softly, approaching her. "Perhaps I can be of some help."

Camarenth stayed off to the side, leaning against a tree and observing the scene. In the guise of a human male, about twenty-five years old (though he was a poor judge of the age of humans), he watched the woman and the elven man carefully. He did not think that the elf would harm her, but if he did, the dragon would step in to protect her, if necessary. In the meantime, he stood a bit away from the two, the stem of a pipe held between his teeth, smoke rising from it to wreathe his face.

Using a somewhat callused thumb to tamp down the smoldering tobacco, he considered the elf and the woman carefully. The elf's horse, too...hmm. Camarenth was a bit hungry, but not so much as to seriously consider eating the horse. The elf would probably protest to it as well, and could make things troublesome, as he apparently has magic. Camarenth thoughtfully took out a pen and started to write in a small journal as he contemplated the scene before him.

((OOC note: if LionHeart should catch Camarenth's scent, he could become nervous, or even panic. It's up to you, but even though he is transformed, Camarenth's scent is rather draconic.))

Slade tugged on LionHeart's bridle as he stepped closer to the girl, but to his surprise, the horse would not budge. Without taking his eyes off of the girl, he let his fingers slip down the reins instead, getting a firm grip on them. But the stallion began to back up, yanking on Slade's arm. The elf finally turned to LionHeart to see what his problem was this time. The horse's once-calm eyes were rolling and he snorted anxiously through his flaring nostrils.

"LionHeart, what-" Slade began to ask. But just then, the elf sensed it, too.

We are being watched, he thought. And by something not quite human.

With a steady, reassuring hand, the elf stroked his stallion's face, trying to come up with a plan in the case of an attack. He looked to the girl to see if she had noticed anything wrong. Side-stepping, he made his way to the other side of LionHeart's saddle, near a pack in which was kept his trusty sword.

ooc: sorry for such a long delay.. computer trouble.. also my first post i put the sun had just risen..

Bic:Sharr looked up to the horse and elf.. her eyes looked as though one of whom had been blind with clouds with in her eyes.. but soon the clouds fadded and eyes jirked to the sky to be met with the now rising harsh tone of the sun.. covering her eyes she looked back with wide eyes to the two newcomers as she soon felt the presents of a third.. she jirked back..

she had always been one to stay away from others but none knew why.. trying to stand in shock she fell again but clung to a tree and stood again..

"who.. who are you.." her eyes shut tight.. her sent was one not normal.. it was hidden but once she awoken one could tell not quite completly human..

her breath came quick but she tryed her best to stand tall.. then her face eyes still closed pointed to where one was thought to be in hidding.. taking a deep breath almost smelling the air..

"please let me see you if yoiu mean no harm.. her eyes opened again searching franticly as if it were the first time she had opened them and was trying to get use to the different hues of the earth..  in a quite tone she spoke with soft cords..

"i am sharr.. of what are you called by?" she sat her trying to look as though she was still strong.. but she would not give any hint of what had happened to her.. again her eyes searched but this time not for a liveing soul but again her rechid bag..

Camarenth closed the book, irritated.  So much for going unnoticed.  He stepped out of the trees, wrapping up the tip of a thin stick of charcoal up in a piece of cloth so that it wouldn't ruin any of his other possessions as he puts it in his belt pouch.  He nodded a polite, but wary, greeting to the elf as he stepped forwards, then focused his attention on the girl.  She looked like she was in bad shape.  He pulled the pipe out of his mouth, inverting it and tapping it against the heel of his hand to knock the smoldering tobacco out of it, crushing out the embers as they dropped to the ground.  "Miss, I couldn't help but notice your situation."  He looked over to the elf, quirking a brow and suppressing a smirk.  "Calm your horse down, sir.  I thought that you elves had better-disciplined mounts than that."  Seeing the elf standing closely by one of his saddlebags, one large enough to hold a weapon, Camarenth's eyes narrowed.  "Also, it would be unwise to draw a weapon at this point.  I do not intend to harm anyone, but I will defend myself if attacked.  I'm also certain that you would not like to see me angered, Sir Elf."

Slade kept his face void of emotion as he was taught in the League of Warriors. Only those you truly trust can see your emotions. Emotion is the language of the soul, the heart. It can be a weakness. Instead, the elf took a deep breath and continued to stroke the stallion's neck. He stepped away from the saddlebag and raised his hands into the air, showing that he was unarmed.

"You will not become angered in my presence," Slade spoke nonchalantly. "Unless you are jealous. Still, you wouldn't strike an unarmed man in the presence of a lady, would you?"

she gave a hidden glance around.. "please pay no attention to my dress.." as a thin hand rose to comb her long hari in the absence of her normal brush..   she was not use to such company nor any company for that matter..

looking to the equine she gave a smile remembering past days.. "whats his name? oh please forgive me i have not caught eather of your names." slightly aware of the different sents that surounded her she still was not one to be able to disifer them..

she rose her strengh now slightly coming back in a way so her form did not falter in balance..

"I beg your pardon, milady," Slade bowed. "My name is Slade."

He looked at the girl warmly, smiling. The stallion stomped his frustration down on Slade's foot. The elf did not wince, but kept his teeth tight together as he spoke.

"And this is LionHeart," he said, motioning to the bay horse.

LionHeart calmly plodded toward the girl, his head lowered, nearly touching the ground. He stopped a couple feet in front of her, and looked placidly up at her with soft, brown eyes. He snorted a contented snort, noticing for the first time the scents she carried. Mixed, they were, but welcoming to his horse senses.

Sharr gave a smile.. she once long ago knew a bay horse and seeing the stallion made her smile.. slowly she reached out a hand making sure the horse was ok with her before she proseded to stroke the horses face.. in a whisper to the horse..

"you are a charming one arn't you.. " she gave a smile as she stood..

a hand close to the horse as her eyes looked for her bag..  a slight  fustrated sigh.. a tone quite quiet.. "now where did it go.."

shaking her head then looking to her company.. then back to the horse..  "you remind me of a stillon i once knew long ago..

her eyes were of a dark brown a bit darker than her long hair..  her hair looked as though she had not brushed it for days.. one reason she hatted missplacing her bag..

Camarenth bowed politely to both of them.  "I have already said, Sir Elf, that I do not intend on harming anyone.  It is a pleasure to meet both of you.  My name is Camarenth."  Straightening, he looked back to Slade.  "Truly, you have a beautiful horse."  He smiled slightly.  "Intelligent, as well."  He cautiously approached the stallion, careful not to upset it.  He knew that his scent could be unsettling to animals, but at least he could try.  Producing an apple from his pocket, he held it out to the horse.  "There, there...easy."

Anonymous

Sharr gave a smile..  with in her mind she thought as a smile came forth.. *for once no harm..* then she smiled.. "that is always good to know.. " a smile slowly showed.. she had not had compay that ment no harm.. it made her ease..

she looked to her sleeve and tore the last remaining hanging peace off and used it as a rag to wipe her face.. she felt better then looked in the distance as she saw her bag but thought it to be rude if she just left her company to retreave her bag..

her head was still slightly spining but she was use to that and so it did not bother her to much..

she dared to ask the others of why they were their  but she did not wish them to ask her for she was not a good lier..   in stead she stayed quite..

just then she started to realise that the elf was indead an elf.. she had not met many in her life and so was not one to knotice.. still the sent of the other was quite foreign to her and she could not tell right off what he was.. hopefuly her sent was not able to sent sence she was no dought not form a family line that normaly carried her sent.. seh hated thinking upon it for last time and all times when one found out what she was her life became at risk once the sun went down.. how she loved the new moon.. only the new moon..

LionHeart eyed the apple. It was calling to him, beckoning him. He related apples to adventures: Slade always gave him a juicy, red apple before they set off on an adventure. Carefully, he stretched his neck out to snatch the apple in his teeth without getting too close to the stranger. The apple was better than any apple he had tasted, and he had been around the orchard! He happily munched on the fruit while keeping himself between Sharr and Camarenth.

A breeze carried a bundle of scents to Slade's nose. He breathed in deeply, and suddenly straightened up.

"Does anyone else smell wolf?" He asked, whispering. "This is a strange time for a wolf to be up and about, though. Dawn usually finds a wolf asleep on a full stomach."

Slade looked over at his horse. The stallion stood carefree in front of him, either not having noticed the smell or not afraid of it. The elf knew he could rely on his horse. The animal could sense things that he couldn't. He relaxed a little but shifted his longbow to a more comfortable spot on his back.

"Madam, if you desire so, I-" Slade began, then glanced over at Camarenth. "We could accompany you to a safer place. You could ride LionHeart, of course."

He held out his hand for her.

Camarenth nodded, bowing to Sharr.  "You have my protection as well, miss.  I assure you that I will do everything in my power to protect you from those who would do you harm."  His face was suddenly stern and serious.  Just for an instant, his blue eyes changed, the pupil becoming a slit instead of the ordinary round pupil that a human has.  However, it was there and then gone in just an instant, barely seen if seen at all.

However, just as quickly as the serious mien appeared, it was gone again, replaced with an easy smile.  "Believe me, miss, I doubt that you could be in a much safer environment than with Sir Elf and myself as guards."  He reached forth tentatively to pat LionHeart on the neck, praying that the horse wouldn't bite him.

sharr gave a tender smile..

"you are the kindest i have met in many years..and please dont fear the smeil of wolf .." she stopped for amoment knowing that when any had found out it was her they thretened her life..

"for i have seen many and only one has chaced me.." she gave a small laugh at the memorie..

"for i thought the pups were cute and got a little to close for their mothers confort.. but she is also now starting to get use to me.. i guess.." she looked around trying to think if they did escort her then where would she go.. she gave hidden sigh.. for she knew that most of the small villages around these woods knew her human face..  she gave a smile as her tender eyes closed for a moment then opened again looking outword..

her smile dissapeared.. a low whisper almost unheard almost as though ment for thought.. "how can you be so kind to one you do not know.." she knew her sent was mixed with human and hidden a good bit..

"i wonder what moon it will be tonight.. " she looked up at the sky the sun above them..  she injoyed the new moon for that was the only time she could say she was no dought not a monster..

Anonymous

LionHeart stood still, but the whites of his eyes showed. He swished his tail nervously. Slade smiled at the sight of his horse, then raised his head to the sky. A few rainclouds floated overhead, covering any view of the rising moon. His smile faded.

"I-I cannot tell," Slade said quietly, his eyes on the ground.

her heart and soul could tell that if the moon were to show it was going to soon..

worrie pounded her heart so hard one whos hearing was increaces could hear it like a drum.. she stood quickly praying that the moon was a new moon..

"can you see even a splenter of it.. i need to know! " her voice not able to hold the calmb additue as before.. the additued of which she could always hide her identaty or atleast avoid it.. . looking around franticly she saw her bag and ran to it..

as she chanted "please let it be a new moon.. please let it be a new moon.." even if it twere just a new moon she still became quite scared of the night.. not of anything around her but her self.. during the new moon she would only have her sences become hightened and reflexes quick.. and now more than ever with others around she was wishing she were like most others were-s, were only a full moon would change them..

quickly she tided the bag to her arm as so it would not fall off. if one looked one could see were her claws had riped it from her wrist.. just the night before..

a wind blew threw tossing her sent as her hair whiped around her form... she was not changing.. and prayfuly she would not...

"please not here.. please not here.. " her eyes jerked upward looking at the sky..

"the moon is never one to fool with.. and i pray it dose not wish for a cremson show.." her words were full of fearful tears..  quite and almost as thought it was showing of the past.. she prayed that the moon would not show its rechid face.. the face of which distroyed her and all around her..

if only they were not here.. she thought.. only if i were still in chains..

Anonymous

Camarenth looked at the woman carefully.  "Miss...are you all right?"  His tone reflected genuine concern.  "The moon...I think that tomorrow is the new moon."  He stepped forward to place a gentle, but strong, hand on her shoulder.  "What is the matter?  Why are you praying so hard for a new moon?"

He looked over to Slade, eyes full of concern.  "Prepare yourself, Sir Elf.  Something is going to happen..."  He looked up into the night sky, pupils becoming slits once more, though they stay that way this time.

her breath became heavy as she collasp to the ground and rose again by pushing off the ground.. her face snaped to the others..

"i wish you found me chained" her voice slowly turnign deeper draped with sarrow ..
her eyes turned dark her brown eyes not to be seen again..
she snaped to a stand.. her form was changing..

sounds of her nightmares came forth as tears pored to the ground.. snaps of bone.. ripes of flesh..  as her trasphormation came forth her words came forth  soft.. "please forgive me.."  she was cursed with this every night except for the new moon.. her body dissasembled and resembled.. each and every painful step but soon she had become her hidden nightmare.. whimpers were heard as it stood fully fured...  threw the transphormaiton her dress was distroyed but her bag hung upon her now werewolf arm..  as the creatures head lifted it looked around as the orbs of sight turned to cremson, searching for feed..

Anonymous

Camarenth took one look at the bloodthirsty werewolf before him, and lept between it and Slade and LionHeart.  He spread his arms, sheilding them as he glared at the werewolf, his eyes turning yellow and beginning to glow slightly.  "Elf, stay behind me.  Whatever you do, do not let her bite or scratch you."  He grew slightly, muscles bulking up.  His skin grew dry, and began to split into scales, taking on a bronze tint.  He looked over his shoulder at the elf and the horse, with his face pushing out into a slight muzzle.  "Do not be afraid, Sir Elf, I will harm neither you nor your horse."  With that, he refocused his attention on the werewolf, crouching down slightly to be ready should it charge.

the small rays of the splenter of moon showed then was covered by thick rain clouds..

Sharr's mind fought hard to remain in controle. as one claw snaped out to try and catch one of them it jirked back.. a snarl upon the beasts face.. "no more"  one sign that she was trying but this was a hard task to keep in check..

claw reached to her skull holding it as though massive pain from two minds trying to controle one form..  faltering back a few steps  her eyes shut tight..

for only an enstand could one desifer the two minds as they fought her arms slung about as her bag flew off banging into a tree and falling to the grouind..

Slade kept a firm hold on LionHeart's bridle. The stallion was shaking and breathing hard. The elf reached into his pocket and withdrew a handful of dust. He sprinkled it over the stallion's back and whispered a spell. Immediately the horse was calmed, but it now seemed that he knew nothing of the goings-on around him. Slade slapped LionHeart's hindquarters and sent him off to graze, to which he agreed happily.

The elf could finally turn his attention to the battles before him. He backed up a few feet to leave the others room, but he tripped over an extended root and fell on his back. The pain brought a rush of memories to his head. He and his brother practicing swordfighting. His sister playing queen. His friends at the League of Warriors laughing at his clumsiness. His mother on her deathbed. The promise that he made to her. And finally - his brother's blood shining freshly on his sword. His sword. His sword! He had sent his sword away with LionHeart. He pounded the ground with his fist. Nothing was going right today.

I believe in you.

Slade looked about for the owner of that angelic voice. It sounded much like...his mother. The mother that he betrayed the night that he unknowingly slayed his brother. The voice brought a feeling of hope that destroyed all the panic inside him. He was boistered up. An idea came to his mind.

"Lle merna salk," he chanted with eyes closed tight. Hot blue fire sprouted from the palms of his hands. He could still defend himself, even without his sword. He just hoped he wouldn't have to.

Anonymous

Camarenth looked over his shoulder with a slightly lengthened neck to see that Slade probably could defend himself, and nodded, moving from in front of him to stand by his side.  "Sir Elf...have you fought werewolves before?"  He sighed, though his attention remains fixed on the woman-turned werewolf before them.  "You must realize that though she was a reasonable creature before, now she is a monster.  She will not hold back, and we cannot."  He looked down at Slade, yellowish eyes intense.  "If necessary...we must kill her."  He clenched clawed hands into fists, staring back at Sharr in her transformed state.
