Physical Description A youthful, tan-skinned man with a thin body despite (or perhaps due to) the lack of actual physical activity he gets up to. Kinara is smaller than most humans, and tall for his lineage (his mother was 4'7", his father is 5' even). His skin is a warm, chocolate brown tone, free of blemishes, scratches, or hair, for the most part. The most hair he has on his body sits atop his head, and it is a soft, yet stylish mop of raven black curls with crimson red highlights, a bang of which hangs over his right eye. Particular to his heritage, Kinara does not have normal, human ears— instead, a pair of long, furry, rabbit-like ears sit atop his head, oftentimes relaxed and leaning backwards along his head unless he's alarmed by a loud or unfamiliar noise. His eyes are a shimmering baby blue, bright enough to vividly see one's reflection in-- something he often finds embarrassment in, if folks get a little too close.
Personality Kinara leads a young and daring lifestyle-- the life of adventure! Fame and fortune, challenging himself against obstacle after obstacle, and all that come with it are driving forces behind why he gets out of bed every day. Kindhearted, strong-willed, and avid learner of life's many lessons, Kinara was always the kind of person who would willingly give the shirt on his back to someone he perceived as needing it more, while priding himself on his many good fortunes that were sure to come for the kind of life he lead. He is a smiler— someone who's warmth and energy could be physically felt when he entered a room, or a conversation. He's kind of the clingy type— someone who enjoys being around friends, family and loved ones almost to the utmost, and often devoted himself to the happiness of a select few that he cared deeply about, finding his own fulfilment in knowing he made other people's lives better.
Magic/Abilities Kinara himself possesses rather rudimentary, average levels of strength, speed, and magical aptitude. He cannot lift boulders, cut down trees in a single strike, outpace wolves or call down meteors on a whim. At best, he can hold his own in a fist fight against a weight class above his own, run apace with the average healthy male, and cast simple spells or enchantments. Indeed, on his own merit, he would make for a modest, average-at-best adventurer compared to the likes of today's greatest champions of Le'raana.
What he does possess in spades, however, is a keen willpower, one not so easily broken or manipulated. He has willed himself through the toughest situations in the past, from breaking mental charms to resisting curses and hexes, and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals, even if it puts his own body in harm's way. That said, he is also quite gifted from a practical intellect standpoint. Kinara's sense for self preservation and efficiency drives most of his combat-related decision making, ironically prioritizing keeping himself out of harm's way where possible, delaying, picking and choosing his fights, and leveraging any potential advantage he can against an enemy— often gained through studying his opponents and himself.
Relationships
History There's not much to tell here yet! Kinara was born in Serendipity to a couple of like-eared parents, who raised him lovingly and provided for him as any parents with decent enough economic stability would. He never truly needed for much, but his father often taught him to take very little for granted-- usually in the form of camping and traveling trips throughout Serendipity, while his mother helped him learned the basics of life-- cooking and cleaning for himself, knitting, and a host of other austere skills. As a result, he grew up pretty well-rounded, and in good mental standing for the future.
But he wasn't satisfied with a normal life-- While he had everything that he needed, he WANTED more. He wanted to explore the world, seek out new sights, challenges, and experiences and make a name for himself. His parents knew this from a younger age-- it was all he ever talked about-- and so when Erin came of age, he began practicing with his father in some basic self defense and practical worldly skills, such as how to wield a bow, and how to use basic fire spells to light torches, as well as basic healing to mend wounds.
Before long, Kinara was ready-- ready to face a brave new world with a heart filled with wonder and a will to seek adventure, and so he set off, in search of everything he dreamed of!
