"I think that man at the end of the line is exactly your type, Liron!"

Lir gnashed her teeth, abandoning her manners as a waitress. There were not many things that she hated about working at Salude Sweets in Darken Vei, but perhaps the most prominent problem she had were her fellow waitresses: flighty, gossipy, winking things, all imbued with some flashy, colourful magic. They used it for everything — for delivering food, for picking up trays, for serving coffee, everything, as if they loved sending shivers down little Liron's spine.

"And what makes you say
such a baseless thing, Mira?
Just do your job, please..."

Mira, a purple-haired fae, was not perturbed by Liron's grumblings— if anything, she loved goading her to talk. Liron's lips were usually glued shut when on the job; but despite her best efforts, she'd always end up needing to talk for something... She was somewhat of a sideshow here at the sweets shoppe; come see Liron, the strange waitress from a far-off, magick-less land, who can only speak in poems! Sometimes she wondered if that was the only reason she was still employed here...

"I'm serious, girl!" Mira prodded Liron in the rib with an elbow, causing the girl to groan, placing a hand over her side. "Look! He looks like... one of those fancy sorcerer types, right? Look at the robes on 'em! Super magick-y."

Of course, Mira was laughing— because she knew that Liron would be skittish of any and all things too "magick-y" as she called it. As a Connlaoth native, she wasn't sure if she'd ever get used to the abundance of magic in Serendipity, but Ansgar knew she tried. However, after looking at the stranger at the end of the line further, Liron was inclined to agree about something for the first time in her life: Mira was right.

He looked like someone who knew a lot about magick; perhaps more than the sorcerer who was supposed to be helping her break the curse did. As he came to the front of the line, Liron, for once, found herself eager to take a customer's order.

"What will it be, sir?
A cake or pastry for you?
We've all you need here!"

Admar enjoyed coming here sometimes. Granted he hadn't been here in a while, so it seemed some new employees were present. "Salude Sweets", the bakery was called. Having a hankering for a cream cheese pastry, he decided to stop on by. Plus the rumors circulating of a girl from the nation of Connloath who could only speak in rhymes worked here as a waitress. Admar found that interesting to say the least. He had been known to indulge in a bit of poetry on occasion, but mainly he was a man of the arcane arts, of Color Invocation to be more specific, if his robes didn't scream that fact outright. Vivid, shimmering robes in all colors imaginable, Admar was a Master at the art of Color Invocation. Despite that, there was always more to learn about it, making one wonder whether Mastery level were even possible for this unique type of magic. However at the moment, he wanted a pastry and so his thoughts turned back to his surroundings.

Like any bakery of the sort, many tables were placed in eye-pleasing arrangements, some nearby the windows which through them shone in the light of the morning sun, while others were situated all about the center of the establishment. A long white counter at the front served as the place to order various breads and pastries. As the color invoker moved up in line, he glanced about at all the myriad of delicious assortments on display to eat. He had already made up his mind about what he wanted to get and so when it was his turn, he simply smiled at the young girl behind the counter and gave his order.

"Admar here will have himself a cream cheese pastry, with a drizzle of caramel on the side if you please."
