@DragonSong The ability to soothe and silence an entire inn with song and play. It was truly a grand ability. And whilr others would argue this, but there was no magic required to do this.
She smiled softly as she concluded one of her own songs, little hummingbird, standing up to bow for the applause, before sitting bacl down at her table. And roughly half the inn wanted to buy her a drink. She smirked. A free room and free drinks. It truly was a good night tonight.
Lyra sat back in her seat again as her third ale was served to her, a soft tinge of pink appearing on her cheeks. She wasn't drunk. Just slightly diezy, feeling all warm and fuzzy now. Her lips curled into a soft smile and she briefly closed her eyes.
Aria leaned back in her corner booth, just listening quietly to the music. She appreciated a good performance when she heard one, but she didn't swamp the other woman like the rest of the inn seemed wont to do.
The people around her table finally left and headed back to their own ale or room, leaving the travelling bard sitting there alone.
Lyra opened her eyes again, glancing around. The inn was becoming less busy, so more silent. And with a small smile, she enjoyed the calmth that now was present in the nearly empty hall.
She continued nursing her drink in quiet, even as the rest on the inn's patrons seemed to be trickling away. Was it really getting that late? Funny, she had no real desire to move.
The various costumers headed to their rooms or homes, Lyra sat up and pulled the instrument besides her up to her seat, closing her eyes as she started to idly pluck the strings, listening to the sounds and tuning her chords accordingly.
From across the room, Aria commented quietly, "You're good. Have you studied?"
"Hm?" Lyra looked up as she plucked one last string, letting it slip from her fingers. "Thank you. And yes, I have," she answered with a soft smile, her voice soft and soothing.
