Physical Description
Fair skinned with black hair, Aura-lee appears basically human from the waist up except for her finned ears and bright, sea green eyes that almost seem to glow in dim light. Her deep blue tail is about twice the length of her upper body, more reminiscent in shape of a sea serpent than a fish but with gauzy dorsal and tail fins.

Personality
Aura-lee is a solitary creature, preferring to spend her time alone when at all possible. She's a bit shy and skittish by nature, so being alone suits her. Despite the fact that her singing can entrance and confuse listeners- which is meant to lead sailors and the like to their watery deaths- she doesn't like the idea of hurting people, so she rarely uses it. It's also another reason she tends to keep to herself.

Magic/Abilities
Aura-lee can change her tail for legs for three rises of the moon at a time, an ability possessed by most merfolk of her specific breed. The catch being if she's not in water at the end of the third night, she dies.

A trait specific to the females of her kind, Aura-lee can use her voice to beguile listeners into a sort of trance. Most sirens use this to drown sailors.

Relationships

History
Aura-lee had a normal childhood, as far as merfolk childhoods go. As she reached maturity she sort of swam off on her own, as is customary for her people. However, she never sought out more of her kind once she left her nuclear family, which is less customary.
