Pheonix stood at the imposing gates of Adela Castle. Her natural affinity with dragons had been realized and she had been promoted to Dragon Rider in the military. She had never been this close to the castle and she realized she had no idea where to go or what to do. She started pacing in front of the gates nervously.
"You the new dragon rider?" Forge asked pushing his cart towards the gates. The donkey lifted his goggles off his eyes. "I'm Forge, you?" He introduced
"Ummmm... Hi... Do you know where im supposed to go? They never told me..." She asked timidly.
"This way" He said tossing her a helmet with a dragon face on it. "Put tha' on." He commanded as he rapped on the gates.
"Umm. Ok. But i already have a helmet. And it might mess up my hair." She said as she put the helmet on and waited.
"Well you need to ha' it on to get through the gates." Forge spoke to her like a child.
"You did not just try to baby me!" She exclaimed angrily. "Im not a kid nor should i be treated like one." She replaced her helmet with the dragon one, juat before her ed burst into flames from her anfer. "I hope this helmet is fireproof." She said angrily to herself.
"Now don' you get all polly pissy pants with me young lassie, I happen to be a survivor of the MMi, and you should treat me with some respect!" Forge replied lividly.
Oh thats why your so creepy, your mutated. She thought to herself. "Lets get going then."
The gate opened and River pushed his cart through. "So, got a dragon of your own?" He asked now calmed.
"Oh no! Im supposed to provide one.. Oh my gosh!" She replied starting to hyperventilate. "I dont want to mess up on my first day!"
Forge sighed, he remembered the stress he felt his first day a private blacksmith. He turned around and started walking the opposite way. "Well you wan't a dragon or what?" He asked.
"Of course. You mean i dont hve to provide it? you could have just said that." Pheonix said calming down. "Dont scare me like that."

(OOC: just wondering if your gonna post soon. and salidia if you want to join in feel free.)
Felodas spotted a young girl with a Dragonrider helmet upon her crown, and knew immediately this was the new Dragonrider. She was a pretty young girl, though he could not get too attached, he had his heart set on another. He observed her as the man carted her through the streets. Felodas got a little closer, so as to hear what they had to say. She sounded nervous, and she had not a dragon.
Felodas observed silently in the shadows, waiting for the cart to stop at the castle.
Forge and Phoenix walked through the street until Forge stopped at an old dilapidated bar. They walked inside to find a lone bartender. Forge walked up to him and said something, his eyes widened and he started to lead forge through the back door. "Come on." Forge said.
Pheonix followed the donkey man into the room wondering what to expect. She hoped she would get a cute one but she didnt really understand the process by which she would acquire one.
Forge was already browsing dragons when Phoenix walked out back. "Pick one." Donkey said.
She gasped at the array of dragons. She walked around looking at the different dragons. She finaly decided an on a black one with spikes and wings that had red blood colored tatters. It had eyes that were different colors, one a glowing green and the other blood red. "Hey. Whats your name?" a voice asked in her head. she glanced around her eyes allighting on the dragon. It must somehow be telepathic or was that just something normal for a dragon rider. "Do dragon riders have a link with their dragons? And what am i supposed to do now that ive chosen?" She asked Forge.
"Ugh, I don't like that one, it's givin' me the evil eye." Forge replied as the dragon glared at him. "Wha' abou' this one 'ere?" He added pointing to a grayish dragon with large pointed up donkey-like ears.
Felodas stood at the door, unnoticed, watching the girl select her dragon. He smiled at the man with her, Forge, when he thought a dragon was giving him the evil eye. Clearly, the dragon was only trying to be selected.
"No way. That ones but-ugly. And this one looks cool and obviously has good taste since hes evil eyeing you." Pheonix replied happily. "Id like this one. What do we do now? And what about m question because i think it said something to me." She walked over to the dragon and rubbed between its ears.
"Wha'ever." Forge replied taking somethings out of his cart. "How much 'ill tha' one be?" He asked the barkeep.
"Fourteen." He replied taking some keys out from behind his back.
He probably ignored her question because he didnt know the answer. Still it was very annoying. She wondered how to transport a dragon through the streets. It was bound to draw some attention. She was about to ask Forge as she bumped into someone standing in the doorway.
forge took out fourteen pieces of, not gold, but minium. The red glowing gems darkened as they were exposed to light. The barkeep opened the dragon's pen and Forge grabbed the reigns. "'ey there Felodas." The donkey greeted as he put the rest of the minium back into his cart. Forge put his goggles back on and looked at the dragon. He then took out some measuring tape a ink quill and a pad. The dragon gave a reluctant snuff as Forge started fitting him for scale mail.
"Hey smith," he replied. He knew the man knew him, but the girl was a pm other story. She was looking at him like he was painted blue. "You must be Pheonix. I'm Felodas Nallmiel, Lord-Captain of Dragonriders, your new leader." Felodas extended a hand, while paying close attention to the dragon she had selected. "Nice dragon. Lots of great personality. He'll serve you well."
"The names Forge." He corrected. "Ya little shite." He added under his breath. Not a lot of things angered Forge, but the lack of respect he got was one of them. No one treated blacksmiths properly and to top it off, Forge was a donkey so that only intensified the disrespect. "If it weren't for us you pricks would be runnin' around naked and weaponless." He thought to himself as he finished fitting the dragon.
Felodas chuckled. "All my weapons were made from magic, smith."
"Magical fackin' weapons?" Forge chuckled. "Here gimme one of them daggers, I'm gonna show you somethin'." He said.
Felodas handed the smith, who, by the way was a donkey, his daggers. Felodas knew not why, he had never time to converse properly with this blacksmith. Pfff. Blacksmiths, who needs em. According to Felodas, nobody. He had obtained Anuriel, his bow, from an ace wizard named Voldorf.
Forge took out a single shard of minium. He held Felodas' daggers up in his left hand and slowly approached it with the minium. When the two were an inch apart, Felodas' daggers shattered into hundreds of tiny pieces. "There's ya' go'damn magic weapons." He said throwing the bladeless hilts to the ground.
"Talk about anger management problems." Pheonix said to Forge. "Im Pheonix. And i guess your my boss..." She said to the man. She glanced at them their argument amusing her.
From the look on the girl's face, Felodas could tell she was enjoying this. "Stupid shit," cursed Felodas .
He turned to the much more attracting girl. He answered her question politely. "Yes, I am, nice too meet you Pheonix."
"Well. Can you explain my job and how it works. Because no one felt like explaining it. " Pheonix asked politely. She smiled over at her dragon. He was so cute!
"Who the hell you think yer callin' stupid shit candy ass!?" Forge yelled back, sticking a finger in Felodas' face. "You know what? Fack this! I'm goin' back to the forge!" Forge yelled throwing the reins down and getting a refund of his rare minium stones from the barkeep.
((OOC, I though Forge was gone, he wasn't meant to hear it.))
OOC: He didn't go anywhere, I think you might have misinterpreted a post
"Pheonix, you will be patrolling the mountains while I'm away on other... Missions."
He added
"And Forge, you stay here. Buy the girl a dragon and I'll see to it that you get paid for it. I apologize for being so rude, I had not previously known your name."
Forge glared at him. "Wha'ever." He said walking back to the Barkeep and giving his the minium stones back. "I don't need ya' money, bu' if you need anything made, you bettar come to me. Go' it? " He said sticking a finger in Felodas' chest.
"Here, take this money. Make me a nice sword." Felodas decided it'd about time he had one. He handed a silk money pouch to Forge, and walked away, to the castle to get ready for Pheonix's orientation.
"Gonna be the best god damn sword yer candy ass ever saw." Forge muttered to him self as plans started forming in his head on what material he was going to make his sword out of.
Felodas retired to his chambers, and rested for a bit.
Pheonix was excited about getting a dragon but hoped there would be a briefing or orientation to explain her new job, salary, responsibilities, expectations for her, etc.
