Another fine day in Adela!
In order to make a profit, the glass maker from Cerenis had decided to venture on down to Ketra to see if he couldn't sell his latest creations. It could have costed him a fortune, luckily he had been intelligent and packed most of his creations in sand. Some people used cloth or straw to transport, but not him. He was a glass maker! That meant you had to use what you knew, and he knew sand. Of course, it made the trip a little heavier, but this was quality sand he was going to sell down here anyway. It meant that he could make twice as much as originally planned! He was such a genius.
The lean man was all grins as he rode in on a rickety old wagon. It was as good as anything to come in on, pulled by two moderately priced horses, he knew the value of a good horse. A good wagon, maybe not so much, but the thing had four wheels and wasn't rotting so it was good in his books. People gave him curious glances as he rode in through the market, wondering just what to do. He knew where he'd have to go, who he'd have to see, which palms might need greasing and what not. The specialty shops here were rather fantastic, but what he was really looking for were the shops he knew.
Some...he wasn't seeing. His deep blue eyes stared in confusion as he noticed some shops were newer than others, and had replaced shops he frequented. The man's slightly red tinged hair went wild as he ran his fingers through it quickly. No time to panic, everything was fine, this was just...he could do this...yeah. He could totally handle this. He was Chester Webber, master Glass Maker!
It only took him six hours to finally unload everything. He made a tiny bit of money, but nothing that he couldn't have made in Arca. His mood definitely soured as of now, the sun was starting to set rapidly and he was tired and cranky. Heading to a bad part of town, he just decided he'd find himself a place to stay that was relatively cheap, hope his horses didn't get stolen and his wagon held together. Once he was settled, near a guard house of course, he set about sitting in the tavern of the inn and getting himself completely hammered.
This had been a month and a half of travelling, all to break even.
Just his luck.
