Well, at least it wasn't cold.

Rei gave a sigh and took a careful seat on nothing, crossing her legs at the knee and leaning forward. Hmm, what to do. Pursing her lips she carefully closed her eyes, tilting her head to the side, seeing if she could do any sort of mysical twin power with her brother. It worked. Slightly. He was somewhere cold. It took a good amount of effort not to snorfle and cackle herself to the ground.

Pretending to check the time on an imaginary watch, Rei tapped her foot on the air and waited. Her own... Human-thing... should be along quickly. They'd asked to travel, but they weren't specific, and if they were alone well, it'd be easier to drive them crazy to leave them alone. Rei didn't think that it'd be possible for them to find one another again but hell, Rei didn't care about that! An over exaggerated yawn and she looked over her shoulder. "Where the hell did you go?!" Rei cried grumpily, her magic couldn't be that laggy....

Well, it could.

The sound of waves lapping at the shore was a good indicator or where they were. A beach! Rei gave a deep breath and sighed happily. A storm could hit here or something, but it was still be a beach! Unlike a village on the beach. Then it'd just be back to being a beach.

Rei sighed and set her feet onto the ground, her hands on her hips before she surveyed the area. First to find her Creature. Then to figure out where they were. After that they could... find something else to do. Rei was sure it would work out in the end.

Why was it suddenly warmer?

There was something that you should never do with a genie, and that was be vague with a wish. As the world faded from view into a strange darkness. It was a very confusing feeling, as a construct he wasn't really used to this particular feeling. Probably anyone who wasn't pure energy was used to this. He could feel his consciousness, all of it, expanded, but he couldn't feel his body. Even though it was just something he controlled, and his consciousness was usually encased in his skull...he couldn't feel his body. The only thing he could feel was his mind, so free, so...out there.

He could feel his brother, his kin, vaguely. He was just like him, turned into a free-floating consciousness. He was out there...but fading..until he was gone. There was nothing now, just the darkness.

Then it got warm. It was nice. He smelt salt as well...like the ocean. Warm and the ocean. Why did this seem like it wouldn't end well? That was when he could feel his body once more. Sort of. It felt enclosed, like something was compressing it. It was still quite dark, until he finally adjusted to the darkness and found that his eyesight was mostly restricted by little pieces of rock. A lot of little pieces. Oh! It was sand! That's what was in his vision! Sand! Why was he encased in sand? He wasn't really a big fan of sand, it usually got into his gears and messed a lot of things up. Slowly he found himself able to move, his fingers at first, and he found himself somehow able to began to pull himself up from the sand. It must have looked weird, as a man, in a large black coat and a wide brimmed black hat suddenly pulled himself from beneath the sand.

He was a very strange looking creature, very tall, with dirty blonde hair, deep brown eyes which were quite...glassy almost. He looked fake, his skin didn't look particularly...real. It was a darker white than a lot of people, though probably lighter than most of the inhabitants of this sunny island. He was still very odd looking, and right now he was looking quite scared actually. It wasn't that he was buried alive...it was because his brother was here. He knew that his brother wouldn't be here, he had felt his presence disappear, which meant that he was just...stuck with...

The Djinn.

He finally saw the Djinn, who had her hands on her hips and was looking around...probably for him. There was a range that she could go after all, she would be stuck close to him, which wasn't too bad. He smiled slightly as he lifted an arm to wave at her. It however made a weird noise, like sand being ground against metal. Oh god, there was metal all in his system! "A beach, this is not good for my technology, not at all." Wishing for things didn't work it seemed, they would have to be specific, and even then, this creature was no doubt very smart, and probably was good with loopholes. The strange creature closed his eyes and clenched his fists. There was a strange burst of steam that sent sand everywhere, even from within his system.

There, now he was ready!

"I don't suppose that...you would know where we are, do you Rei?" She didn't seem to be a woman who would be too helpful, and he was sure that he may very well have to do a little...ego appeasing. She had seemed very happy that he had made a wish...ugh...would he have to make another vague wish to make her more cooperative? He really didn't like the idea of that.
