Apple giggled and quickly dashed after Trin, the baggy overshirt flopping around her frame as she moved. But the general oversized fit of it just made her look cuter, though with that cropped shirt and low-cut pants...well, it was a not-so-subtle reminder that Apple somehow still had the body of a woman, though on a smaller scale than most.
She walked a bit behind and to the side of Trinity, taking in all the rather clean-looking sights of the ship. It was a bit too...sterile for her tastes. She liked lots of color and life. That was definately not going to be found around here.

Walking into the new room, Apple came to a slow stop, eventually leaning against the railing as she gaped at it all. It was unlike anything her large two-toned eyes had ever seen before. There were big people-things against the walls that she had no name for, nor any inkling for what they did. And then she noticed the lady with a uniform on, and though a bit far away, she still managed to see when the stuff came out of her back. What...what was that...?? Was the woman being hurt...?
Within moments, the lady now looked kinda like a little version of the big people-bots, and Apple was all the more confused.
She tugged on Trinity's sleeve.
"What...what's going on? Is that lady alright? And what are all the giant metal people here for? What are they called? What do they do?"

Trinity smiled at Apples curiousness, and rubbed the top of Apple's head with her hand.  "Silly.  She's fine. And those, well..." She was interrupted as the transformed woman below did something.  She smirked, having an idea what it was, and reached for a radio on the wall.  "Hey, how bout some more natural light in here!" she requested.  A man testing the lady below then picked up a radio.

[I knew I felt bad news comin.] A voice replied.

"Yeah, yeah, very funny." She grinned.

Suddenly the dim light that made the room colorless and dim, switched off and rows of bright lighting shot on, forming lines across the ceiling and walls.  All those Mech along the wall were now metallic and very colorful, ranging from every personality of their pilots.  Now she could see what the woman below was doing.  The still bland gray Biomech was giving her the finger.  "Hey!  Put the hatchling on!" She ordered with a smirk.

[Hatchling huh?!  Just what are you doing here anyway?  You got some balls talkin to me like that!] The girl replied after receiving the radio transmission.

Trinity just laughed.  "Man, you can't even do the simplest things yet!  Get a little less serious and little more colorful!" She teased.

[I'll so you color!]  Suddenly the dull Biomech burst into a fiery red.

"Is that it? God, thas so simple!" Trinity teased further.

Then there was no response and the bright red Biomech morphed into a three-color rainbow effect, the colors shifting from one to another with movement.

"Woooh!  Much better!" She congratulated, clapping her hands.

The girl laughed and then saluted Trinity.

Trinity turned to Apple again.  "I'm sorry.  What were ya sayin sweetie?"  She smiled warmly.

Apple was glad for the affectionate pat, but what happened afterward baffled her. Trin spoke into something, and another voice answered back. She couldn't fathom from where that other voice was coming from, but Trin was staring down at the strange lady and the person working with her. Maybe they were the ones...? But how?? They were all the way down there! She again stared blankly at the radio, not knowing what it was. She started as the room suddenly lit up, and then oogled all the colors on the big metal people along the walls. Luckily, she was too absorbed to catch the new metal person giving Trin the finger, and only looked over at the mention of a foreign word.
Hatchling??

She watched the interplay between the two. Balls...? But Trin was a girl! She didn't have balls...
Wait, why was she even thinking about that??
Apple's mouth turned into an 'o' as the metal person turned a bright red color, wondering how she had done that so quickly. That 'o' of a mouth, and her eyes, only widened as the metal person changed the color to something rainbowy and shifty. Beautiful! "Wow..." She didn't even notice the machine lady do the weird hand movement to Trin.

Blinking, she looked up at the young lady at her side. "I...wha..??" She hadn't heard anything she had asked...? Er... "Oh, um...n-nothing..." She'd feel weird asking about the lady down there and all the big metal people a second time, especially after that neat show. Everyone here seemed so at ease with it, like it was totally normal...she felt like she should know too, though she didn't. It made her feel alittle dumb...and deterred her from asking again.
Her tummy picked that opportune moment to growl. "Oh!" She blushed and looked sheepishly up at Trin. "I think I'm hungry..."

When Apple said 'Wow', Trinity smiled again and set her hand down on the kitten's head, rubbing playfully.  She pondered for a moment then after Apple told her what she said was nothing.  A giggle then broke out from Trinity at the very audible tummy growl.  "She's learning to command her new ability.  Yes, she's perfectly fine...sorta.  Those are machines, used fore military combat.  Mobile suits.  Aaand, they are used to fend off any unwanted pursuers during our travels." Trinity smirked smugly, answering all of little Apples curious questions.  Apple deserved the right to know, and was allowed to ask away, not having a clue about anything aboard.  "Its okay." She rubbed her head more and then knelt beside her.  "Its okay to ask.  I know you don’t understand everything.  So don’t be afraid to be curious here." Trinity reassured apple.  "Everybody here is very nice, ESPECIALLY to cute and adorable girls like you." She said cheerfully and poked her nose.  "Now then, what did ya say?" she asked playfully, knowing full well that Apple said she was hungry, but using it as an example to let little Apple know it was okay to ask more than once.

Apple smiled up at Trinity as she was pet, the ruffling of her now clean and silky hair accutely pleasurable to her feline heritage. The smile faded slowly as her once ignored questions were answered, and she tried to understand just what exactly Trinity meant. A new ability...
 so...could that girl...turn into a machine then??
Military combat? Mobile suits?
Well, the fact they fought off bad guys got across well enough. Still...even with her questions answered, she had little more understanding than what she started with. But her head was rubbed again and she giggled softly, giddy with the novel of being petted again so frequently, after so long a bought of affectionless wandering. She hoped Trinity never abandoned her...

Luminous two-toned eyes were turned toward the kneeling Trin as she spoke reassuring words. She smiled and nodded her understanding, pearly white teeth flashing for a moment before she giggled bashfully. Cute and adorable...
Maybe things really would be okay now, with a new master to look after her and all...
Pointed ears perked up as she was again put on the spot. Oh, about being hungry...for a moment she was again nervous, but she forced it back. There was no need for it, right? That's what Trin had said...
She grinned childishly. "I think my tummy's trying to tell me it wants food." As she spoke, her stomach growled again, right on cue.

Trinity was happy that Apple spoke up this time, and giggled again at Apple's tummy grumble.  She had a feeling that what she had explained to Apple would be difficult to comprehend, but that’s what asking questions were for.  She would have to explain an enormous amount in general, so it was easier if Apple asked about the things that interested her most.  "I think so too.  See, Its okay ta repeat yerself.  Jus remember you have rights here, so don be afraid." She smiled in reply, rubbing Apple's ears and head.  "C'mon, lets go visit the cafeteria.  There's lotsa different foods ta eat."  Trinity stood and put the radio back on the wall and then took Apple's hand.  "Now lets go get somethin ta eat." She walked with Apple out of the hanger and down the hallway as they made their way toward the cafeteria.

A sigh behind them announced a new presense.  "What is it with your team and bringing back strays?" a feminine voice queried.  It belonged to a tall, especially compared with Trinity, woman with gray skin and hair and gaunt features.  An eyebrow sat risen above one of her bright blue eyes.  Phyona's misproportionately long legs and arms were both crossed as she leaned against the wall.  She leaned away from the wall and walked up to Trinity, shaking her head, all three of the long, thin ponytails bobbing with the action.  Her hair was drawn up very tightly, defining her somewhat oddly-shaped skull, and split into three sections.

Apple giggled happily as she was rubbed, glad to find that what she had done had made Trinity happy. Good, she'd be sure to remember not to hesitate to ask questions! Which, in all actuality, could get annoying since Apple knew little to nothing about this entire place and the people in it, as well as what he job was going to eventually be.
Grinning cutely, Apple Rose eagerly accepted Trinity's hand and began to walk down toward the cafeteria with her.

But it was not soon after that a voice interrupted from behind them, her ears swiveling around first before her head followed. Her two toned eyes widened a bit at the tall lady, who was different from any other person she had ever seen. Then it clicked what she had been called.
A stray??? No fair, Trinity was her new owner now! She was not a stray!!
Pouting a bit, Apple slid behind Trinity, hiding from view, her small hand still clasped onto her protector's. Her furred tail lay straight and still behind her, ears tipped back, a good indication of her mood.

Pointed ears twitched, and Trinity turned to meet the face of the ever so familiar voice. She smirked lazily at Phyona, her head tilting slightly. Apple immediately hid behind her then, and she closed her eyes and sighed, shaking her head. Returning her red-eyed gaze back to her tall friend, Trinity pet apple with her free hand. "Yer jus jealous you haven't found a cutie like this." She smirked, petting Apple's ear and coaxing the small girl out from behind her. "Isn't that right, hun?" she turned to look down at her little companion who she pet softly. "So then, what brings YOU here?" Her gaze shifted back to Phyona. "Don be afraid hun, Phyona's just a big softie, she wouldn’t hurt ya." Trinity teased mildly.

After Phyona approached, a set of invisible eyes eavesdropped on the two. The unseen stalker watched with extreme curiosity, standing in plain sight behind Phyona, but went almost completely unseen to the senses. Those curious eyes watched, staring at the new little girl beside Trinity. Who was she?? Was she fun?? Did she like to play?? What is she....Ooooh...tail... Must. Grab. Tail. Peeking out from Phyona's left, the antsy little creature, shifted to her right side in a barely visible blur. Now peeking from the opposite side, he came closer to the interesting girl. Of course, Phyona knew who was there, just not exactly where. After all, he WAS standing with her, that is, until Trinity and the girl came out in sight. He immediately hid instinctively at the new person, and now was eager to find out who she was.

Apple was grateful for the soft petting, helping her to calm. Soon she was coaxed out into the open, and she smiled timidly up at Trinity at the complement. Cutie...?
Her small hands clung to Trin, one still holding her hand, the other around her master's waist, hugging close to her.
She smiled a bit more openly at Trin's joke. Well, it was unlikely that the other woman would try anything...

Apple continued to hold onto Trinity, unaware that she was being watched. All her attention was still focused on Phyona. Her slender tail flipped around behind her slowly, totally unaware it was being stalked.

The catgirl hid behind Trinity at Phyona's comment.  As for Trinity's comment, "I don't have time for 'cuties,' and you wouldn't either if you actually did everything assigned to you, like I do.  At least Deen has some sense to him.  How do you suppose you'll still complete your duties with this little munchkin in addition to that fox thing of yours and DUO!"  She suddenly raised her voice when she said the name.  Her barrier aura could feel the little sneak thief moving around, and decided to try and scare the scamp into revealing himself before he scared the poor catgirl out of her wits.
