Physical Description
For many, Eyiahad looks very much the part of a rogue or adventurer; at 6'2", he has a few good inches on the average man, and his years of adventuring (mostly running) have given him the toned muscles of a well practiced soldier. Where most Sionhai have normal coloration of a fox, with red, orange, or russet fur, this one has fur as black as the shadows he walks in, fading to white towards his shins, forearms and the tip of his tail. His eyes are a deep and unsettling shade of violet, a glare which have silenced more than a few critics.

On most occasions, Eyiahad wears only what is practical and useful: a pair of dark grey trousers around his legs, a white cotton tunic on his back to keep him warm and thick leather boots up to his knees to keep his feet protected. In addition, the adventurer dons a dark coloured cuirass of boiled leather over his tunic, and steel pauldrons for added protection. On his hips rest a wide leather belt carrying pouches for trinkets and coin, and on his back rests his war hammer, ready to smash heads at any given moment.

Personality
The first two thing Eyiahad will say when someone asks him about himself is that, for starters, he does not like mimes, minstrels, thespians, acrobats, jugglers, troubadours or tumblers, and secondly that a good day for him is one where he doesn't have to leave a mangled zombie hanging from the ceiling with its entrails braided into a macabre rope tied around a beam like a piƱata.

In all seriousness, Eyiahad appears to be uncaring and indifferent from the outside; he shows very little emotion save the occasional laugh or smile, and his sense of morality can be of questionable quality. However, once you get past the initial cold exterior, one will find that this mage is not quite as bad as he seems. He cares deeply for his friends and family and places a high value on honor and respect. Despite the seemingly sinister nature of his powers, he believes in a fair fight, and gets angry with liars and cheats.

He also has a healthy interest in the past and history, and when he's not busy fighting off the angry undead denizens of an ancient barrow, he is usually making notes on any artifacts he finds, be it pottery, tablets or necklaces. While Eyiahad does occasionally keep some of the more magical items he comes across, usually he will leave things where he finds them, as it rubs against his morals to simply take something from a tomb that doesn't need to be moved.

Magic/Abilities
Specially gifted in darker arts, Eyiahad was born with the gift of shadow manipulation. Unlike the forces of magic, which can be canceled out by the effects of Mordecaism and Adharism, Eyiahad's shadow abilities are not magical in nature, but a psychic ability, and thus have no need for magical energy. With this power, Eyiahad is able to manipulate the shadows around him. Examples of usage include:

  • Controlling shadows
  • Absorbing shadows*
  • Using shadows as a means of teleportation
  • Making shadow "clones"
  • Creating barriers of shadow
However, due to the fact that his powers do not use magical energy, but instead use his mental energy, Eyiahad refrains from using his more powerful abilities unless it is necessary, as some of the side effects of overuse of his powers include, but are not limited to: nausea, headaches, vertigo, and unconsciousness in extreme cases. In addition, his powers are negated by light-based magics and vice versa; if he were to fight a wielder of light with his powers alone, they would be stuck in a perpetual stalemate.

*Using this power, Eyiahad can also absorb non-sentient shadow-based entities
