Being held there in her mother's arms Alice felt happier than she could ever remember. Even when her family was alive she was still a slave, but now she was free, and soon she'd get to see them again and hopefully with Shanodin's help she'd be able to free them from their own bondage. For the time being though Alice was simply enjoying Shanodin's company, which she was indeed, very much so in fact.
Alice's smiled widened when she felt Shanodin stroking the back of her head. When Shanodin spoke to her though Alice didn't speak, she merely nuzzled into Shanodin's bosom once again, still wearing a wide smile. While there was some truth to Shanodin's worries, the healing effects of Shanodin's loving care had more than made up for any trauma she'd suffered at Gradius' hands, and the girl now felt better than ever. Soon though, Alice once again fell asleep, this seeming to happen to the girl quite often. It was understandable, as the warm waters of the hotspring were quite relaxing, and she was basically using Shanodin like a bed. What Shanodin would choose to do now however was up to her.
