Arix did not know why they were looking for Woods, but he doubted it was good. In head-on fights, he wasn't that good. However, these humans were going after his new friend, and he had the advantage of stealth. So, Arix knew he had to help his pal.
The kobold watched as Woods jumped out of the brush, and knew this was the time to strike. A dark green blur, Arix leapt at the male human, teeth bared and claws pointed at him. Soon, the man was about to find out that a kobold's claws and teeth are incredibly sharp.
If he connected with the human, Arix would begin to viciously claw and bite at him, bright-yellow eyes focused on his target. He wasn't going to use his fire, not unless he had no other choice. Best to save it as a final resort, preferably if he had to flee.
