Kitsune had managed to find one of the larger taverns in the city that still had rooms available. She's also procured a room with a rather large bed in it so that she and Mahji could share. Over course Mahji had to rest his hand on Kitsune's shoulder so that she wouldn't over-react as the Tavern-Keep made lewd and suggestive comments about them. Mahji not wanting a repeat of the last place they tried to stay at. Luckily everybody had escaped and only that one inn had mysteriously burned down that night.

Mahji escorted his fire-cracker of a human up to their room. He had no idea how long they were going to be staying in this city, but it most likely was for a while. They were waiting for Twitch to collect Poe and meet up with them, so they could be here for a couple of weeks. Knowing that Kitsune was already restless and wanting to check out her new surroundings, he said nothing as he sensed her slip out of the room. He knew that she'd stay within range that should she find herself in trouble that she couldn't get out of, he'd be able to find her quickly.

For tonight she decides that she'll stay close to the new home base. After all, taverns and pubs were the best places to find out information. Loose tongues and all, add a little more alcohol and a pretty face and you'd be surprised what men would be willing to tell. However tonight she would be content just to listen, and allow others to come to her, instead of actively seeking them out.

When she has the chance she orders a hearty meal and a glass of red wine. She's found her spot for the night and is curled up in her seat. It had the advantage of giving her a full view of the tavern area. A smile danced across her lips as she mused about what tidbits this night would reveal to her.

Today had to be the worst damn day in history. Not only did he have to break the horrible news to the king that the woman he had the hots for was kidnapped; meaning the commander of the military had been kidnapped also, he had to tell the poor man that she'd been mutilated and her wings were pinned to the outside wall with huge metal stakes. Theodores twin had taken care of those, then there was the whiny princess. Pah. With energy to waste, Theo didn't bother with a horse and jogged-walked his way to a tavern for a little wine, women and song.

Only the wine was good booze and the song was non-existant Maybe a woman. Theo wasn't awesome enough to entertain more than one, that and he only had two hands. Two hands, two breasts and or bum-cheeks. Coincidence? No way!

Dressed in his 'peasant' clothing, which was a loose fitting white tunic and average brown breeches tucked into shiny black boots. Brown hair pulled back into a loose pony tail at the base of his neck. Pushing the Tavern door open when he got there, it was as it was usually. While he was off-duty, Theo was a solider at heart so he kept his eyes out for an unknown face, a potential threat perhaps. With a polite smile, forced because Theo was in no mood to smile, he flagged down the bartender and got a drink, exchanged a few words...

And then he spotted her. The strange looking woman with white hair. It wasn't the fact that she had white hair that had him going over to introduce himself, it was her being unknown, and him looking for suspects. Smiling widely at her, his youthful face hiding all signs of his greving for his lost commander he took a drink from his glass and set it on the table.

"I'm Theodore... Are you new in Adela? Well, Ketra rather, Adela is a large country." Another smile and another drink from his glass and he rose his eyebrows, hazel eyes looking at her own eyes, his hand resting on the table and the other hanging down at his side.

Kitsune was contently sipping her wine when the door swung open. Instantly she was drawn to see whom had entered, already sensing the power surging within his aura. A part of her was slightly surprised to see the man appeared as nothing more then a mere peasent. Though that was replaced with a slight smirk as she observed him. Common folk generally didn't survey places they entered as this man was. Nor did they walk with the hidden grace and power as someone who was obviously trained for battle.

She tilted her head slightly as he made his way towards her. Ah, it seemed as though the Fates were smiling upon her this night. A faint hint of concern surged through her as she sensed such saddness coming from him. It would be hard to see it if one wasn't really paying attention, but she was one who always paid attention to the small details. Even if she never let on about it.

Kitsune offered a soft smile to the man and nodded. "It is a pleasure to meet you Theodore. I am called Kitsune." Her voice soft in tone, laced with an accent that was hard to tell, and was most likely a mixture. There was also a strength behind it, something that could almost be considered motherly. The way she held herself also hinted that she was not the typical type of female. She was also one that had seen her fair share of battles and was more then capable of holding her own, though she maintained a certain softness to her.

"I will admit that I am new to Ketra. My travelling companion and I arrived earlier this day." Her smile grew with a little warmth behind it.

The man put both of his hands on the table as he all but stared at her. Kitsune. Didn't sound like the average name from anyone in this country, even the next country. Theodore pressed his palm to his forehead for a moment and frowned gently, her accent was unplaceable too. The fact she was here at all meant that she probably wasn't who he was looking for but it wouldn't hurt to inquire, ask her a simple question and see if she squirms. Squirming was good... Sort of.

"Kitsune, lovely name, almost as lovely as you!" Theodore offered a smile, "Theo works for me, my name is too long... Everyone else calls me Theo anyway." He took another smaller drink from his glass and pushed his thumb across his lips to wipes away the wetness. "Miss. Kitsune,I have something to ask you. While you've been travelling, have you seen any pretty ladies with long blue and black hair? Big black wi-" Theo stopped in mid-sentence, his face falling for a moment before offering the woman another smile.

"Sorry, she didn't have big black wings... I'm looking for someone, any info would be greatly appreciated." Of course it would, it would make so many people thrilled. Theodore tipped back his drink and finished after flagging down the bartender for another drink. Once he was done with Miss.Kitsune and his questions, he was going to get so drunk he'd think that under the table was in fact the roof.

Theo was much more loose of lip when he was drunk, normally shunning blabbering about a topic that was important kingdom information. He supposed he held a lot of that kind of information, he was no right-hand man, but he was a knight from a noble household... He knew enough to get him places and if he really, really wanted too, he could blackmail all the right people.

She knew that stance all too well. He was working her for information, and his body positioning was one that was meant to mildly intimidate. Thankfully Kitsune was never one to allow herself to be intimidated by anything. However she did have a healthy respect for things she couldn't control.

She allows a soft chuckle for his bit of flirting. "You flatter me unessicarily. I do like your name in all it's length, though the shortened version is just as nice." She studied him carefully as he spoke, tucking away bits of information to go over later once she was back in her room. Ah! There it was. The bit of saddness that she was sensing in his aura. So this woman was the cause of it. She tilted her head slightly, picking up that he was looking for 'someone', and not actually this woman. Most likely the person responcible for whatever had happened to this woman.

"I've seen many people in my travels, though I do not recall seeing such a woman as you describe any time within the past while. I'm sorry that I can't be more help, since it's obvious that this woman means a great deal to you." There was no squirming, so to speak. She honestly had no information that this man wanted. However she already knew that he had more then enough information to satisfy her curiosity this evening. By the looks of things, he was in the mindset of drinking himself silly, which would make it much easier for her.

"However, if you were to join me and perhaps explains things a little better I might be of some use. I'm waiting for a few more of my traveling companions to join up with me. If we had an idea of what to look for, we could certainly keep alert for any such information." She'd listen to his story, deciding afterwards if it was something that'd be worth her looking into. If not, well she was a wanderer after all, and it would be a fair amount of time before she thought about coming back to this city. Of course he could always end up feeding her some story to try and lure more information out of her, but she knew with enough alcohol that she'd find out the truth soon enough.

Only now did she think to look over him a little more carefullly for purposes other then initial threat possibilities. She had to admit that his body was one worth looking at, even if it was hidden by those solemn cloths. It was easy enough to imagine a fight with him could prove to be rather... stimulating, to put it mildly. Tall, dark, long hair and handsome with a powerful aura. Yes, the Fates were beaming on her so brightly this night, and perhaps they'd continue to shine until Twitch and Poe showed up in a couple of weeks.

"And I must insist that you just call me Kitsune." Being called 'miss' made her feel like some little girl in a pale pink flowy dress all decked out with ribbons and lace. She never had been that type of girl when she was younger, and she really wasn't going to start acting like that even if her life depending on it. She was more suited towards being called 'Misstress'. That title brought on images of silk and leather, and that was more geared towards her style.

A sigh and he pushed his hand to his face to pinch the bridge of his nose before he eyed the woman. No luck. It had been a day. An entire day. First he'd gotten the honour of telling King Akkiel that his Commander was missing, then he'd gone and changed into his 'peasant' clothing for a night to get piss-drunk but not have anything other than chump-change incase someone decided to rob him. Theodore was a good knight, but that didn't mean there was no crime in Ketra.

It was an impressive city, and that meant it had crime. A barmaid wandered by, picking up Theo's empty glass before coming by a moment later with another one which he took a large gulp out of before looking at the lovely Kitsune. "That's really nice of you Miss.Kitsune," he offered her a smile and rubbed his forehead, "But, I'm not too sure I can give you much information if I'm not smashed. Hit too close to home, y'know?"

Of course it was too close to him, wings pinned to a wall, his commander missing, gods know what happened to her so far. His hazel eyes darted towards the woman and he offered a small smile, "Of course, Kitsune." It rolled off the tongue better without the 'miss.' but he supposed that was part of the charm of not having to address someone with a title. Taking another swig from his glass, Theo sighed and pursed his lips together, leering around the bar for a moment before looking back at Kitsune.

She looked odd, in a good way of course, but odd none-the-less. "Where are you from?" Change of subject! That was always good, try not to think about the – Obviously wasn't working, Theo frowned down at the table for a moment before smiling back up at the woman, his eyes curious and his lips pulled into a small polite smile.

She could see that the subject was upsetting him, and she could sympathize in a way. She knew all too well what it was like to have somebody you cared for deeply to be taken away without a word or a clue as to what was happening to them.

"I suppose you could say that I'm from all over." She took a sip of her wine before motioning Theo towards a chair next to her. "My hometown was reduced to nothing more then a crater many years ago." Of course she didn't need to tell him that she was responcible for that. After all, it was pretty well known about this former town. All of the residents had escaped, and the only casualty had reportedly been the person responcible for blowing the place sky high.

That was the day her old self died, and Kitsune was reborn. It had to be that way if she were to be able to hunt down and extract her vengence on those whom had kidnapped and killed her fiance. She'd never been the same since then, and she never would be.

"But that is a past that is best left where it is. Since then I have been travelling around and doing odd jobs here and there." She smiled softly as she finished the last of her wine, ready to order something a little more potent the next time the barmaid came around. "I suspect that I'll be staying here for at least two weeks, waiting for a couple of my companions to catch up with me. I had sent one of them to a school to further develope his mage abilities, but they wanted to push him in a direction that he was uncomfortable with. So I decided to pull him out and bring him with me until I can find a place more suited for his talents and ambitions." She wasn't too pleased when she had found out they wanted to direction him down a lesser path, especially when he had so much potential to do so much more. Sure he was a bit of a klutz, but that didn't mean that he was anything that should be looked down on.

She offered Theo a kind smile. "My dear Theo, I don't suppose it would be too much to ask of you for a tour of the city in the next couple of days. It would be so helpful and I would greatly appreciate it." It was true,  plus now was probably the best time to ask before he ended up three sheets to the wind.

All over was an extremely vague place. Theo simply rose an eyebrow and brought his glass to his lips to take a drink before she mentioned it becoming a crater. Theo barely knew what a crater was, let alone know of a town that became one. His mouth had been half full of his drink when she said that, and a good deal of it ended back up in the cup while the other half was in his lungs. Turning away from the woman he coughed violently for a few minutes before sitting up straight and rubbing at his eyes. They burned and it took him a moment to start talking normally again.

"Two weeks you say?" Theo cleared his throat a few times and then sat down where she indicated, he was no where near intoxicated, though he was sure that last drink pushed some booze into his brain. Felt like there was bubbles up there anyway. Theodore eyed the drink he accidentally slurped back into and shrugged before swallowing most of it down, careful to semi-listen to her while she spoke and tune out the remotely funny things.

Nothing too interesting, something about mages. Theo eyed her for a moment before rubbing the tips of his fingers together, feeling them heat up before he layed his hand palm down on the table and turning his hand into a fist. Closing his eyes breifly he looked up and smiled at Kitsune again, smiling widely. "Of course I can, I might be called away for... Guard... duty over the next few days but if I have time to spare I'd be more than happy to show you around. Ketra is a big place and It would probably take a day or two of straight walking just to see most of it."

Theo frowned for a moment before finishing off his second glass and putting his head down for a moment before he looked around. "Do you want to go now or get shit faced and try tomorrow? It's sort of late."

shinigamikitsune

Kitsune took note that Theo wasn't paying too much attention, which was a good thing for her. It meant he was distracted and wouldn't notice the little details that might slip out. She smiled when he agreed to show her around.

"I think tomorrow would probably be better suited for looking around. Plus you look as though you're ready for some serious drinking tonight." She flags down the barkeep and orders some rather potent hard liquor and a couple shot glasses.

"I do hope that you'll be able to keep up with me." A sly smile forming across her lips. She might not be able to drink everybody under the table, but she could hold her liquor with the best of them.
